  • madds mickelsen in King Arthur is nothing but gorgeous... xD

  • @bbcseriesfan Yes and won't he make a nice Rochester to the new 2011 Jane Eyre

  • @gsbohn Oh yes! ^^ Completely, definitely, without doubt!!! xD

  • Wonderful film, did you see the 2 gorgeous welshmen?

I could watch this all day. There should be a 'LOVE' button

  • the king arthur scene in ice was my favorite!!

  • I've been meaning to thank you, Genie, for your most excellent and very tastefully created videos. i enjoy this one in particular since you showed one after the other, three of my favorite actors: Liam Cunningham (shown here in Falling For A Dancer), Stephen Dillane ( in Firelight), and Paul McGann (in The Hanging Gale). My favorite is Paul McGann who is absolutely beautiful shown here at 1:05-1:09. (My favorite of his films is Our Mutual Friend.) But, I love all your men.

  • @AnotBea

How very kind of you for the nice compliment. I love them all as you do. I'm not sure I could pick from the three you mention, but if forced, I might have to lean towards Liam Cunningham. LOL. I love those kind of tough decisions. thank you again.

  • @gsbohn shown at frame 1:46 (as Merlin); i missed that one- second shot. several months ago i had posted a comment that dark make-up and beard can little hide Stephen Dillane's handsomeness. this same consideration applies for Liam Cunningham. as for Paul McGann, i think he fascinates/excites more so with a mustache.

  • keira knightly always gets to kiss the SEXIEST men! *pouts*

  • I wish we still wore the fashion of the early 19th century. It's so stylish and flattering! Especially for the guys. Nowaday's it's just boring t-shirts and bottoms for everyday. I guess that is because people now don't feel the need to dress up because we stay home all the time. well... most of the population.

  • I LOVE THEM ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @juliasnight

    Thank you. Me, too!! LOL

  • Fantastic!

  • @bopbopanna

    Much thanks.

  • Excellent work, another one added to my favorites! I loved the last scene, King Arthur looks like an interestingmovie, after this video I might just buy it...:-)

  • @elizabethk28 I thought it was a good movie. It got bad reviews from critics, but ignore them. They got it wrong on this one. It was a good film.

  • history has a LOT of blood in itself!

  • cant belive you included "falling for a dancer" one of my fav's! have it on dvd, loved mossie!! lol

  • Do you have any more clips from The Hanging Gale? They're very difficult to find. I remember watching it on television years and years ago.

  • The video was amazing. Clive Owen makes ANYTHING look good. He so pulled off the rugged King Arthur look. ya gotta love him.

  • He was perfect for that role and sure a nice piece of eye candy..

  • Clive Owen in King Arthur is one seriously good reason for watching that movie!:)

  • You sure have that right. And the rest of the cast is excellent, too. You've got Ioan Gruffud, Ray Winstone, Dancy and many others.

  • :) That's right!

  • In the incredable journey of Mary Brynt Jack Davenport is not the bad boy, he is a good man, Mary is the seductress and liar!

  • Oh Dagonet! You big sexy beast, why did you have to die?!!!? :(

gsbohn, great job. Thanks for including that big hottie, Ray Stevenson!!! XD

  • Most welcome.

  • Thanks for including Stephen Dillane. He manages to make even Thomas Jefferson look hot!

  • Yeah, I like him alot. You have seen Firelight and The Greatest Game Every Played?

I hope so. He was great in both.

  • Thanx for including James McAvoy!

  • My pleasure.

  • Are you kidding me? You're going to use the same song?

  • ^.. Uh danish actress at 01:09 - Mads Mikkelsen -

Haha :D I love your video, and again is it inspired me to watch some of the movies I havent seen yet.

  • Yes, I have several actors that are not from the UK but are STARRING in a UK film.

    Love Mads myself.

    Glad you liked it. Thanks

  • Wow, that was amazing - will have to seek out part 1 now. Do you have any Robin Ellis in Poldark in any - he was like the Clive Owen of the 70's a visual delight! THat's brilliant - looking forward to Watching KIng Arthur on TV tonight now!!

  • Oh... so glad you liked that. I will have to check out renting Poldark and see what all the fuss is about. People keep telling me about it. LOL

    Thanks for your comment.

  • thanks so much for the upload. I've seen most of these already but now i've have a couple more to add to the list :)

  • Isn't it great to find another treasure you haven't seen? Glad I could help. LOL!!

  • Thanks for this download. I love all British period films. Espwcially Hornblower and all the Sharpe series with Sean Bean. Can any others suggest simular movies to this? As a Brit liviving in the wild west of Moscow I really appreciate this site.

My mother from England has sent me Catherine Cookson movies and I enjoy them also. All freebies from the Daily Mail apparently.

  • well, i could recommend a good few but im not sure whether or not youve seen all of them or not coz most of them are shown in these video clips. But two of the best period dramas ive seen are "North and South" which stars a gorgous looking richard armitage and the 1995 mini series of "Pride and Prejudice" which stars another gorgous looking man, Colin Firth! the best and only Mr Dracy in my opinion....hope you like them.

  • Falling for a Dancer is an Irish series! Other than that nice job:)

  • yea, I agree but then i supose it was probably made by the bbc. unfortuatly most of our best irish dramas seem to be made by other people! lol

  • Falling for a Dancer is an Irish series!

  • Beautiful...your climactic ending was inspired,I've seen most of these but you gave me a couple to add to my "Must See List" Thank heaven for British dramas...we'd be stuck with Mall Cop or Meet the Spartans

  • Thank you very much. I particularly like the ending myself. Glad you did, too.

    Appreciate the words.

  • both parts absolutely fantastic!!! LOTR music goes brilliantly with it. so many yummy men ;>

but where is sean bean from sharpe?

  • Thank you for the compliment. Yes, I thought the music was a wonderful piece. Sean is in the first one - from LOTR.

  • Love part one and two. The intensity of the scenes and the music are so powerful. Love watching it...you have quite the eye and ear!! And thank you for putting up all the names!!! I absolutely love period dramas. I can't get enough of them. I want more!!!

  • Thank you very much. I love them too as you can see. The music came from Lord of the Rings. Spectacular piece - and goes well with what I was trying to achieve. I hope to do more as more period dramas come to my possession. Thanks again.

  • Thanks for putting this up, this is really a great video, i just love period dramas so thank you for making it. I love the music to, it goes so well with the video

  • this second part is even better, thank you...don't ever change the music...it just fits

  • Thank you. My sentiments exactly on the music. I'm glad you think so too.

  • king arthur is mint!

  • Never heard that expression, but I like it. Hope you watched it in HQ.

  • Great video... and the first one is great... I love them both...

  • Thank you very much for your comment. Yeah, the biggies went into the first one. I still have more I can do, but I am working on a Nicholas Nickleby video and also all of Lorna Doone.

  • Then I am looking forward to your next one! Your videos are really good.

  • Love it!

    Patrizia

  • Thank you. I hoped you watched it in the new "high quality" mode that youtube now is offering some vids. I don't know what the criteria is, but I am a lucky one to be picked to show in HQ.

    Thank you for "loving it".

  • Thanks so much. I am happy when someone likes what I do. Appreciate the comment.

  • Thank you. I hoped you watched it through the "high quality" link that was available for this video.

  • Amazing video!!! Can't wait for your next one!!!

  • Thank you so much. I am working on a new North and South vid now. It's going to look a whole different then what we normally see in vids.

  • Oh Alfa, my biggest fan. LOL!! Thanks for the kind words. I love it that you love it. You are the audience I create for.

  • Absolutely wonderful video. A favorite again. You are quite wonderful at these!

  • Thank you very much. I wouldn't say wonderful when I see the talent out there. But I do it because I love the subject matter as you probably do to.

Have any ideas of what could be done next? I'm looking for ideas ... anything except uploading a whole film in parts.

  • Wow. Um, I think that ANYTHING you make will be wonderful. You are a genius. All I know is I can not wait till the next!

  • Thank you so much. I particularly like that piece. I'm wondering how the mini-trailers are going to go over.

  • Another fantastic video!!! Your choice of music is great... :-)
