  • it's a great atmosphere....!!

  • Damn Fun Police. I hate the fluro brigade that slash beach balls

  • must of been better than the cricket wish i was there it looks lots of fun all those convicts under one roof

  • If people didn't drop so much shit on the ground there wouldn't be so much to throw in the air. I've never seen the wave with so many airborne object. Funny as. But banning, hardly policeable is it?

  • I would hate to be a person who gets in trouble for doing the 'mexican wave' after being identified off this video ;-)

  • well its australia isn'it course there's going to be illegal activity, that's what you expect from convicts.

  • woowowowowo just wasted 52 seconds of my life

  • why is it elligal

  • u cant make mexican waves any more....in scg...reason??? sum nuts throw their drinks on others....fair enough

  • ok that makes sense

  • They usually try to catch the guy trying to start the wave

  • @Udits11 yeh but generally its like 20 people get up and start it. plus its always better at the g

  • i work at the scg as crowd safety the mexican wave is not illegal its banned act from cricket association, and yes we usaully can pik the single instigater.

  • yeh becasue most aussies are very laid back and say shell be right.

  • damn u aussies no security in ur country

  • if u call this illegal..what u call smoking pot?

  • lol mate come to england, weed aint illegal

  • that was my point!! i said if throwin stuff .. littering is "illegal..what u call smokin pot?"

compare to that this is nothin

  • and what country are you from supergravey not super aus! surely with you history and culture, and what the fuck is a kickass time wanker!

  • o_O ????

  • Australia is one open prison isn't it ?

  • Thats pathetic, why don't they juts allow no-one into the cricket ground so players can't be 'put off' :@

  • Whatever

  • fuckin convicts all illegal

  • Yeah all illeagal, but having a kickass time. I love that joke, it's so old and out dated but the Brits still find it funny. A bit like there country...

  • what is the logic behind making the wave illegal?

  • apparently when people do this they throw beer and stuff in the air, so they tried to ban it. doesnt stop it though.

  • It was because people were throwing bottles and heavy items causing injury to others, not because it was putting the players off.

  • ah the good old 'boo' of the members

    love it

  • lol i like the info

  • why would people be going to jail? Isnt the cricket enoff entertainment?

  • I went to a match at the "G, whenever the Banned mexican wave sign went up on the big screen the Bay 13 guys would start one.

  • why is it bannnnnnnnned?

  • Logistically it creates too much rubbish when people throw things up into the air. Which is fair enough, because a lot of people get beer splashed onto them. But realistically, it's a stupid ruule. Hence the flouting of the ban.

  • Thats the fun of it all,i got hit by a blowup sheep @ Headingley haha good times!

  • faaaaaaaaaark how did you sit on the hill in that heat?

  • wasn't that bad actually. must've been a sea breeze thing which made the place cooler than the other suburbs that were copping the 35+ degrees. or maybe it was just the flying beer that made the difference...

  • You used to be able to bring in your own esky full of beer (24 can limit though!!) in the 1970s.

Used to be a few half full cans flying about and the odd BBQ chicken too.

And there was often fighting on the hill.

    The memories ...
