Yes I had the same problem, I do use AVG antivirus

Open your AVG interface

Double-Click on the Web Shield

Select the Instant Messaging tab

then just uncheck MSN Protection

but if you are using someother antivirusthen check the settings to see if there is a Messenger scanner setting similar to AVG could be causing the same type of problem.

use reginout tool to fix registry errors of your system
