  • Oh wow man. I broke one of those yesterday except it was 1987. I got it for 5 buck at the card show. What a cowinsidence!!!

  • The Noan Ryan is worth $1.50, but the whole set is only worth $9.00

  • Where do you buy a box of those?

  • @RayzWin -- Dave and Adams Card World had a box of them about a year and a half ago. I got all of the older boxes in these videos from them at the same time.

  • Such memories- thanks. I remember buying a few packs of these at a flea market with my family way back in 1988, and thinking they looked really cool.

  • i coleect old baseball cards for fun just so i can complete the sets but i dont like buying old packs for the hell of it because there is not hits just a few nice rookies or errors

  • @nitrousinhalement -- That is part of what I would like to change about the hobby today. Too many people are getting cards for the big hit cards, and are not enjoying the other stuff. I would like to bring light to all cards. Someone else spent countless hours designing the cards in a way that they thought we would appreciate them, so lets all take the time to enjoy the smaller, but still great things in cards.

  • yeah, i'm not talking about the video at all, just in general. for instance, i'm a Ken Griffey Jr. fan. if i was gonna buy cases of 89 donruss, and say bowman, what would be the best route for getting the best cards? best as in best condition and the most high end players.....

  • @TrapHunt DONRUSS

  • whats the best version of a case to pull the most high end cards? there's wax cases, cello cases, rack case, vending cases, set cases, etc. whats the difference in those and is one better than the other to pull good cards?

  • @TrapHunt -- Well, I am somewhat puzzled by your question. The video that you have selected to ask the question about is from 1988, but cases from that era didn't have high end cards, so there is no advantage as far as that goes. There is an advantage with card condition. Vending boxes have the best conditioned cards because there is no gum for the cards to get sugar scratches, or creases from. But vending boxes were never sealed, so people can often remove the good cards and still sell it.

  • dude way to much talking just get to the cards no one cares if you think there messed up

  • @giants2581 dude. way too much typing, no one cares if you can't tell the difference between their, there and they're.

  • @beezysmeezy dude what do you mean way to much typing

  • @giants2581 no no no... too. not to. again, another fine example of what I mean. And thank you for not getting it, that makes it so much better.

  • @beezysmeezy what are you talking about

  • @giants2581 -- Wow. Anyone who watches my videos knows that they are verbally informative. For this video, one of the 2 major reasons for opening it was to show people what to expect. The camera doesn't show all of the details, so I explain what I see to make sure that people know what to look for.

  • @krisbenham alright man i guess your right if your trying to make a video on a old type of product or any product i guess you have to be descriptive and another reason why because if you sell them on your site people have to know if the card has a dinged corner so they know what there getting when they buy a card

  • @krisbenham Haha i cant believe you just said that giants2581 he is a lot of peoples favorite pack opener

  • @giants2581 His videos are to inform on a product and to show what your getting for your money. He's not here to blow by cards and not show you what has happened to the product.

  • Like the new set up

  • Dude they are from 1988, what do you expect?

  • @PianoManKD -- I am sure that you are being funny, but I expect any company that had billions of dollars at that time to do a better job of packaging, if indeed that is what caused the dings in the cards. Otherwise, I do expect mistreatment of cards when they are sealed because they are just going to sell them as a box without knowing about the damage, if any. I have a higher standard than the average person when it comes to cards. I want quality over quantity when I spend my money.
