@romulus219 Why mention windows? It's a near-perfectly engineered piece of laptop hardware, and the operating system proves to be no limitation. I have OSX, Windows, and a Linux distro on my macbook... and luckily it's all legal.

What exactly are you going to do on it? Its not close to powerful enough for graphic processing, and frankly, that's about the only thing Macs are actually good at.

I don't know who in their right mind would spend $2000 just to surf the web or do word processing...

I did... Also I play Crysis and UT3 almost maxed on my macbook pro (not the new one obviously, but still relatively new) so don't give me that "tried and true" gaming rebuttle all PC users seem to be on about. (no offense or disrespect meant by the way =3)

the macbook air is actually a decent choice now i think. if only they included the external optical ddrive free i might actually get it... if it had at least 2 ghz cpu lol.

not sure if i like this new macbook pro, i have the 2.4 ghz aluminum one and i think i like it better. i hate that new keyboard. the only thing they actually improved upon is that i dont have to take the whole comp apart to change te hard drive.

there is one firewire 800 on the macbook pro. i'm talking about the regular macbook. the regular new aluminum macbook does not have firewire 400 or 800 nor any sort of workaround. it is the biggest mistake they've made in recent years. the macbook air is fine as an ultra thin portable laptop for those who wont use their macs for intensive things like designing or movie making or movie importing, so the absence of a firewire on macbook air is not a big deal, but it IS a big deal on the macbook.
