omg I wish I had watched this before I did my eyebrows tonight I hacked them all to bits: ( they are to short by the nose. but I will re watch this before I go at them again. thank you
really useful thanks!! i tried QVS tweezers too and they are just rubbish, now i use cosmopolitan ones from superdrug pack of 3 all different points, best tweezers ever.
ever since you uploaded this video, i dont know any other way to do my eyebrows :) just wondering cuz you never used it, what was the givenchy wax for?
yes defintely agree with the Tweezerman plug. Got my first pair about 4 years ago, and have never looked back. Once you do, you realise how bad other tweezers are in comparison! And they come in such great designs. Got my boyfriend a green pair so he didnt feel girly (he broke his first pair though lol, so theyre not unbreakable with big man hands!)...
This young lady is awesome. I love this. Finally something I can understand. But no matter , she has fabulous eyes, even 4 days out. LOVE the way she teaches.
ugh, i have some of that wax/powder eyebrow filler stuf (well, not that brand) and while it does fill in great, it makes my eyebrows so dark! theyre normally very sparse and short, and im so pale that the difference looks dramatic. *sigh*
surely by applying any product to our eye area you are encouraging infection as by plucking, the pores open and swell allowing any product to enter? @Doobs31 I've always plucked or waxed my own in a similar way to Lauren. i've never once had any problem with any sort of infections. Before I tackled them myself I used to go to a few different beauty parlours depending on where I lived. They would always apply make up right after the waxing/plucking for redness, right after the plucking. So I dont think it was a concern for them either. I feel like having clean skin and using clean tools goes without an explaination.
Hi Lauren:) I always pluck my eyebrows and a few weeks ago I did them way to far apart I tried waiting for them to grow back but it just looks a mess! have you got a suggestion that maybe will work? <3

Thanks for being such an awesome person and for giving us so many tips, it really helps lessen those stressful days in front of the mirror. You're amazing <3<3
Thank you this was extremely helpful, using the white pencil really made sense, and I'd never heard of doing such before I just hope I have one here in the house, as my brows are in much need of attention I will be putting this information to use, yet today. Again thank you for your time and energy in doing theses videos, not all understand that it takes time and energy do so.
Thank you so much for doing this eyebrow plucking tutorial! I did my own brows for the first time, and they turned out great because of this video. :)
Hi Lauren! I really appreciated this tutorial as I have been relying upon beauticians for years & years. Although I have to ask - what do you do if you DO happen to have a mild mono-brow? Am tempted to wax it off at home but I'm too chicken to use wax near my eyes! Any suggestions? xx
I used to do it like ths but I have found that what works better is the exact opposite. I fill in my brows with the blackest pencil I can find and pluck around it. For me this is way neater but perhaps it is a matter of personal preferance. This technque is good but not my preferred method.
I was wondering if you could do a quick and easy look for a tired expectant mum. I'm just 34 weeks pregnant and really want a pick me up. I've blonde hair blue eyes if that helps a bit x Annabel xx
You should check out the 10 minute videos from Pixiwoo. Super easy and extremely wearable for any type of hair/eye/skin color. :) Of course Lauren is amazing too, but just in case you wanted a quick solution while waiting to see if Lauren gets any up.

I LOVE your tutorials! I'm 31 and I have never done my brows myself 0,o Think I may give it a try. You have made it look so easy. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
I always have problem trying to trim the upper part to make it look tidy too but i always ended up having strange brow shape~ do we actually need not to pluck the upper part at all?
Ok, so what if I have over plucked in between my eyes and it is NOT growing back? I am just coloring them in but it looks so fake. I guess I just need to keep practicing and I will get it right, what looks right on me...I just love you. I know you are English but your accent is so heavy where in England are you? I LOVE IT!!!
Great video, this will be soo helpful! I was wondering if you might be able to do a tutorial for makeup for blonde, pale girls like myself haha. I realize that you have dark hair, and most of the tutorials on youtube are for and by dark haired girls, but perhaps you have some knowledge or wisdom to share on eye makeup and such for those of us who look wayyy too made-up with the typical makeup for girls with dark hair. :)
much prefer getting my eyebrows threaded!! the shape always looks so clear and clean. Also i feel the hair grow bak thicker when you tweez, parlour lady always tells me off if i tweez them, because she can tell the difrence when they grow back lol!! also threading lasts longer!! though i must say it is very hard to thread your own eyebrows. but if your havnt tried it i would defo go get it done, i always get compliments for mine.
Thanks for this video, v helpful. Your brows always look so nice when you fill them in but whenever I put anything on mine I feel like I've defeated the object of plucking as they look massive again! Will try to follow your technique & see how I get on :p x
I would love a video on tricks to looking more awake and youthful, especially since I am expecting my first baby and will have to fake looking like I got any sleep. Love your videos! xx
I've never had any special technique to shaping and plucking my eyebrows. I never use any special tools or anything.
So that's what both of my eyebrows are completely different shapes, and the one on the right is missing half of the hair. Also, my right eyebrow doesn't have much curve to it, while the one on the left is extremely curved, so it looks like I'm always raising an eyebrow and questioning things.

Request: Any Harry Potter related make up look would be awesome!! Either a Death Eater look like Narcissa or Bellatrix, or just a beautiful Hogwarts house look.
Loveee her accent and yes tweezerman is by far the BEST tweezers you can get! i've tried a lot! many from sephora that are way over priced and you can get a good pair of tweezerman from many places which is helpful and they aren't expensive
I am qualified in Beauty Therapy and I use the Rubis tweezer....ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!! Although a tad pricey at £18 plus but worth every penny. They are an anti-bacterial tweezer. I bought mine from QVC. They are a fine and sharp tweezer and will remove even the tiniest of hairs.
@MISSchloeack10 I hope you dont mind me commenting. I am qualified in Beauty Therapy. If you keep the skin slightly taut then it should hurt less, do not stretch your skin, just slightly taut. You can also use a warm compress on your eyebrow for a few minutes before tweezing as this will open the pores and help with the removal of the hair. Hold the tweezer as close to the base of the hair as possible and tweeze in the direction of the hair growth.
@MISSchloeack10 it hurts in the beginning but ,trust me, you get used to it and after a few times it won;t hurt you at all ;) and if you do it regularly, there's less to pluck, so it's quicker and less painful.
the differnce between the plugged brow and the not plugged is huge! love your brows ever since, and I really love that you don't do them so thin like many others do! Great Tut, will do mine in a few minutes. Normaly my mum (mu-artist) do them for me but she's on vacancies :D but with your tips I'm not going to fail ;)
This was really helpful, thanks Lauren! Some good tips to improve my technique, which started with classic over-plucking in my teenage years and have been slowly growing them back to a more natural shape!
One question I have is: what is the best way to trim brows? My brow hairs are insanely long and get impossibly unruly even when the shape is good. I can't pluck them because then I'd have none left, but I feel like I over-trim sometimes.
It is very helpful video, but I'm blonde, and actually ... I don't have eyerbrows. I mean ... my brows are invisible, so basically, using white pencil doesn't help me, because I already can't see where my unneeded hair are. So ... my wuestion is - what would you advice for blonde girls like me ?
Wow, this was SUPER helpful! A lot of people make eyebrow tutorials, but they never show the shaping and tweezing part. They only show how they fill in their brows, which I already know how to do. Great job! =]
No makeup and you are still lovely. Thank you so much for doing these tutorials I have a great time watching them, then using your tricks. Congratz on your house and puppies btw! Oh! could you start Halloween tutorials soon so we can practice..lol Best wishes !
In a way I'm glad I have light brows as regrowth is much less visible. But they're such a pain in the arse to pluck because I can hardly see them D: But this video is an absolute god-send. Thankyou!
Hi Lauren! Was wondering if you could do a tutorial for girls who wear glasses? I adore doing my eyeshadow, etc. but then by the time I put my glasses on I feel like it's a bit redundant as all you can see is the glasses. Any tips? Thanks! Love your videos :) xx
I absolutely found this video helpful. The only problem that you didn't cover was the hair that grows on the top of the brows. I have an arch and my hair tends to grow more on the arch area and I don't know how to keeping up with that one. I find myself having to go to the eyebrow place everytime it grows back because I know I will mess it up. How often do you pluck your eyebrows?
Felt the same way when I lost my tweezerman tweezers!! No other tweezers would grab the hairs! Now, I have 2 pairs of them (: great video Hun, just did my brows about an hour ago, but I watched anyways (:
Ok so i have blonde eyebrows and they are really thin and in some parts they are so blonde it looks like i have bald spot on my eyebrows :( i hate them and every time i get a brow filler they just look weird because i cant find the right color for blond hair! i need help! and im embarrassed because i also look even more weird with out any thing on them at all!
@tazieya What really helps me (I have the same problem, my hair is an odd shade of brown) is to find eyeshadows instead of brow fillers. Coastal Scents generally has good 88 color palettes for EVERYTHING (really cheap too) and lately I've been mixing colors for my brows and it really helps! Although, for you, there's a few tan/beige shades you can mix or try straight up. Or, if that's a little much, you can try to just find beige or tan eyeshadows, and mix and match. I really hope this helps.
Another very helpful video, thank you Lauren! The white pencil idea is brilliant, never new this trick! Waiting impatiently for the Dear Lauren videos! :-)
@iinaaiin you're probably just not used to seeing the brows filled in like that, took me a while to get used to it lol Follow the advice Lauren's given and it'll gradually begin 2 look more normal xx
Hi Lauren, I love urban decay colours but really struggle with the glitter getting everywhere. Could you do a video with tips on how to use the glitter colours please? Like the order to do the make-up in please? Thank you x
@panacea81 please can you tell me in the UK where i can get a brow stencils? preferbly boots/homebargains/bodycare/superdrugs? or any supermarkets you know off? cheap please under tenner?
Hi! I have a little problem when it comes to eyebrows: my eyes are kind of close to each other and I've noticed that when I let them grow near the base of the nose my face looks weird.....What do you think I should do???
Great video, and great tips? Have you ever thought of making one about threading? I use baby powder on a makeup sponge to outline and it helps grip the hairs better and then I thread my own hair off...it lasts about 2 weeks. It's so simple and since I have very thick and dark hair, it helps a lot!
Oh I love your videos, but this one is so helpful!! Thank you :) I rarely pluck my eyebrows because they are pretty much already very neat (I'm lucky that way) But no-one ever told me 'how' to pluck them in a good way, so this is great :3 I'll keep it in mind the next time I have to pluck mine (even if it might be a while xD)

thanks lauren you're always honest with everyone :) Love how you look out for our interest and recommend things that aren't super expensive and work! :)
I thread my eyebrows...I find it so much easier to sit in a chair and have someone else do it. And after the first couple of times, it doesn't hurt at all. =)
I like the white eyeliner trick. I always find stray hairs that need plucking when I've already done my makeup because they show up against my highlighter colour.
My eyebrows are uneven. The end of my right eyebrow goes up, the end of my left eyebrow goes down. When I fill them in it looks even more uneven. Any tips to make them look even?
@Emmely454 Pluck off the hairs on the top of your right eyebrow and the hairs underneath your left one. It'll taper them off, but that looks good imho. ^^ Or fill in more at the bottom of your right eyebrow and on top of your left one, not both identical. This will make them look thicker/fuller.
My eyebrows are evil, so usually get them waxed, but give tweezing a whirl after watching this. Cheers for the tip :-D

Thanks! Rachel xx

I was looking for hair styles that will travel well under my motorcycle helmet and look good with very little fixing once I get to work.

MaggieWolf25 5 months ago
@MaggieWolf25 using a dark liner instead.

Thanks, Lauren! Very handy! Hey, Did you know we all have microscopic bugs on our brows?

Wow, this was SUPER helpful! A lot of people make eyebrow tutorials, but they never show the shaping and tweezing part. They only show how they fill in their brows, which I already know how to do. Great job! =]

In a way I'm glad I have light brows as regrowth is much less visible. But they're such a pain in the arse to pluck because I can hardly see them D: But this video is an absolute god-send. Thankyou!

What if you have really dark eyebrow.. what eye shadow should I use to fill them in? Dark brown doesn't do it.

Ok so i have blonde eyebrows and they are really thin and in some parts they are so blonde it looks like i have bald spot on my eyebrows :( i hate them and every time i get a brow filler they just look weird because i cant find the right color for blond hair! i need help! and im embarrassed because i also look even more weird with out any thing on them at all!
tazieya 5 months ago
@tazieya What really helps me (I have the same problem, my hair is an odd shade of brown) is to find eyeshadows instead of brow fillers. Coastal Scents generally has good 88 color palettes for EVERYTHING (really cheap too) and lately I've been mixing colors for my brows and it really helps! Although, for you, there's a few tan/beige shades you can mix or try straight up. Or, if that's a little much, you can try to just find beige or tan eyeshadows, and mix and match. I really hope this helps.

My eyebrows are uneven. The end of my right eyebrow goes up, the end of my left eyebrow goes down. When I fill them in it looks even more uneven. Any tips to make them look even?
Emmely454 5 months ago 2
@Emmely454 Pluck off the hairs on the top of your right eyebrow and the hairs underneath your left one. It'll taper them off, but that looks good imho. ^^ Or fill in more at the bottom of your right eyebrow and on top of your left one, not both identical. This will make them look thicker/fuller.
