the one thing that could make this guitar any better, in my opinion is double black binding... custom style... gorgeous... although its already a beautiful guitar... sounds really nice too... i am actually in the planning process of building an almost identical guitar... except i want to bind it :)... fender parts, hopefully a warmoth neck, a nice bit of mahogany sitting at home (not very telecaster i know, but still nice)... cant wait to get started... just waiting on some funding, lol
I'm just a newbie but it seems to me that the type of wood the body of this guitar is made of is irrelevant, seeing as the entire area surrounding the pickups is the plastic pickguard, but any information you might have would be appreciated.
@scEOIN Pickups are not like microphones. The pickups pick up the vibration within the magnetic field around the strings, and the body, neck, and fingerboard wood and the hardware all make their contribution to that vibration. A good electric guitar resonates as a solid object, and the strings will vibrate in varying frequencies depending on what they are attached to, different woods have various "flavors". Believe me, the wood matters. A musical instrument is the sum of it's parts, ALL of them.
@punkeratheart Cheers man thanks. Great playing by the way, I've watched a load of your vids. Just doesn't seem fair that you get to play all of these beautiful guitars and I'm stuck here with just the one acoustic for over a year now, haha.
@scEOIN My videos? I don't have any uploads, but I do have some sweet guitars. I made them sweet, they started out as "with potential"......but I am not the uploader, I was just replying to your comment to be helpful.
Greg... Could you give me some advice on buying a new guitar please? :D I am looking for one costing between 300-500 Euros Thank you for your time! Keep up tha good work! :D
How do you like Ebony board on this Tele Greg? I also put an ebony neck (a Musikraft Mahogany/Ebony) on a 1-piece Mahogany body Tele & it kicks. Plays & sounds exclt! That Barfuss neck pickup...nice. Strat -like tones. :>)
Great playing and great tones as always but you have a so personnal print, a so special touch I suppose came with your long hours of practicing that makes I often need to see the guitar you're playing to recognize it. Well I actually don't have good monitors but I can ensure you I know guitars because I work in that field. I sometimes don't directly hear if you're playing single coils or humbuckers. This is only my opinion without any negative intention.
For me who owns a maple fingerboard Tele, this fingerboard looks extremely dark. And the tone is amazing. Where can I listen to some of your songs, Greg?
my boyfriend has this guitar. tele in the same colour and everything. so sickkk

Hi Greg in your opinion what is the most fluent neck on a tele that still sounds good? D shape or C shape?

Nice Tele. The ebony adds a nice quality to the tone and agree that this has some of your best work. But I am biased preferring Teles anyway ;)

Greg, is that a "super wide" warmoth neck, how do you like playing it and is it a standard thin, boat neck or fat back neck? Nice playing, as always.
