  • ouch. 20.5 mph???

  • probably the safest suv of its time when it was released.

  • this should be in a james bond movie!

  • These cars are rock solid, even the outlander with the AWC is a killer in the snow

  • @CrashJSTest I live in Queens but when snowpocalypse came and the plows were nowhere in sight my moms Mitsu handled very well in the snow. This is a car that you have to own to realize how excellent it is. The locking differentials really helped. As long as you have the right tires and sense to drive carefully when the roads go to crap you should be fine. Also I recommend dedicated snow tires for your highlander. All seasons are okay but to get the best grip you need tires with off road treading

  • @CrashJSTest The montero is perfect for the pocono mountains. After what we experienced this past winter, we are never getting rid of ours. We were one of if not the only moving car in well over two feet of snow

  • @CrashJSTest Also, this is a heavy car and at about 3 tons that momentum has to go somewhere

  • As someone who has lived with this truck for many years I would highly recommend it to anyone. My mom bought hers new in 03 and she does not regret it one bit. It may drink fuel like an alcoholic downs jack and coke, it is a capable vehicle and a reliable one. biggest problem was that it needed a new trailing arm. you can't beat unibody construction

  • @CrashJSTest Sure use your friends account. lol Weres the videos of the Explorer and Suburban your "had".

  • @CrashJSTest lol I bet you dont even drive. Got videos?

  • @CrashJSTest Still I'de like a truck that doesnt bounce like a ribbon. Any more excuses? Silly import driving sheep.

  • @CrashJSTest Accually that would have been true a few years ago but Americans are back to producing quality vehicles. My granmother has an 05 Malibu she drives daily and it is well made and pretty reliable. Silly import loving sheep. Ford Fusion is rated higher in quality than Honda Accord and Camry.

  • @CrashJSTest Older hyundais were crap and I am hearing reports of the newer ones having electrical problems.

  • @CrashJSTest I watched a durability video of a Ford F-150 vs. a Tundra and the F-150 was very stable while the Tundra was wobling like crazy dude.

  • @CrashJSTest Jap trucks rust fast. Besides Im not concerned about being in a crash. I've seen people get killed in BMW's and people walking away from hyundia's so I guess it all depends on the scenario I guess. Why are you getting pissed that I like an Domestic over an import? lol

  • @CrashJSTest They may perform well in some test but in reality a big f-150 is gonna tear through a camry lol this SUV might be diffrent but I'de prefer an american truck/SUV than a jap one lol just my $.02.

  • @CrashJSTest That was 2000 when they started that. Alot of imports sucked badly too.

  • this is very safe for its time

  • Great car! And excellent safety!

  • lol!

  • Guys should watch the pajero frontale crash pajero(with bullbar) and a Corolla.

Not much damages to Pajero(they had to remove the bullbar to seperate the vehicles.

    resisten super bien...idiota

  • best suv!!!

  • Please tell me How much KM/PH Speed is Pajero before crashing?

  • 40 mp/h = cca 64 km/h

  • 64 km/h

  • 64 KM/PH

  • Comment removed

  • ??? What are ya talking about, it has crumble zones and that result is good for that old car. That model came out 1999, so it is 10 years old car now.

In new model there are better crumble zones, where are many stages. But as you see, the frontend was the crublme zone, and the cabin area where passengers are, didnt get bad hit. That is crublme zone.

  • So what??? Why the fuck are u getting so got damn mad!!!!??? And it's a 2001 not a 99' thank u very much!!!

  • I am not getting mad, you are the mad here. 99, 2001 is same, this 3rd generation design came out 99, so it was designed at those times, late 90's. The saftey structure design is 10 years old.

And this youtube oriented my comments badly, I was answering to earlier posts, but they seem to be totally in wrong places. Not answering only to you, mainly for the earliers. ;)

  • Ummm.... no!!!! You are wrong. This montero body style that's in the video is 2000-2002. Then they changed it in 2003 thank u very much!!!!! What the fuck are you talking about 1999. This body style ain't no fuckin 1999. Cuz i went to yahoo image search and typed in 1999 montero and this body style did not show up. The old montero 4rm 1999 showed up so there... i just proved your dumb ass wrong, so i win, go see for your damn self. Buh bye!!! LOL!!!! ha ha

  • What is your problem ? This body model WAS DESIGNED and came out 1999 in JAPAN ! In usa they maybe kept selling the old model, and in europe it came in 2000. But in Japan it came out already 1999 and it was designed in late 90's because car design is not complete in one year. The whole car body structure designing takes years to do, so it have probably been already started in late 90's.And the old 2gen Montero is still produced in these days as well. Mitsbusishi was selling it with name classic.

  • Put in google this:

    "mitsubishi pajero v60 1999"

V60 is the chassis model this has, I promise that you get only pics of this new Pajero. The old was V40. The existing is V80. The model that came out 2003 is V70, and it doesnt have so many body structure uprages. Body was updated in 2006 model to stronger and crumble zones were updated.

  • Well im not talkin about chasis im talkin about body. But they upgraded and updated the body in 2003 right after this body style.

  • Well body design came out 99 actually, in Japan. :) To USA it arrived later,

2003 you are right, there came facelift. And in 2006 entirely new model which is still safer with 8 airbags and stronger body.

  • Well thats good they put in 8 airbags!!!

  • You are a fucking nutcase!

  • You are a fucking fag!

  • Get off the herion nigger jew.

  • Get off from riding your daddy's dick you cousin fucking inbreed redneck homo-cunt face white piece of shit!!! Now go back to cleaning the rust off your trailer at the back of the trailer park you fucking cock sucking hillbilly!!! You sound like a little cum-swallowing faggot with the name "Memphis35" or is that what your redneck faggot father named his little dick fondling son???? Now be a good little boy and go listen to your boring ass Garth Brooks country music in your mama's basement bitch!

Once i used this one: " im going to finger your mom with an eagle's claw and shove a baseball bat up her rotten disabled pussyhole and take out her fucking womb so she can't give birth to anymore stupid retarded ugly fucks like you, you little shit stain."

I used that one like at least 5 times LOLOLOLOL!!!!!

  • @Richboy219 Epic diss...lol

  • @TheRunescapernerd lol thanks!!!

  • @Memphis35

    HA your a bitch!!!

  • dats my daddys car

  • crumple zones are there to crumple, to absorb the energy so that the occupants aren't harmed

  • 5 star eurocnap from safety dept

  • actually euroncap didn't test this particular pajero

they tested the 2 door one. it got 3 stars

  • This 3rd generation 2 Door Pajero havent been tested in EuroNCAP. But if it were tested, its score would have been 4 stars. Thats what it got from ANCAP, and JNCAP and that is what Mitsubishi was targeting.

  • Deformation zones are there to get deformed, if you had a ridig frame, the retardation would have to be absorbed by you bode instead. In that case, some parts/organs will suffer damages.

  • Exactly, you are correct.

  • vamo

  • LISA LOPES DIED IN THAT SAME CAR!!!!!! Im so glad to find this, thank you.

  • sorry to hear bout that godbless her soul

guitarmaster456789 rest in pece lisa lopes

  • the old one was better. we crashed it at the same speed and the lights at the side puls a LITTLE bumper damage was all it did. Shame it was a write-off. if we didnt have the rare version it wouldn't have been..

  • In saftey, in pajeros case, newer is better. That that it didnt damage bad doesnt mean that it is safe, because then people inside the car will damage. The front must flex, there must be crumble zones, otherwise car is very dangerous, but whole car should not be crumble zone either like in chinese cars.

  • omg thats the same car i got and i thaght it would be safe if we collided with a wall or somthing but the car was mangled =]

  • It is safe. Why you think it isnt ? The soft frontend makes the crash for you much safer. If it would be taff, you would get all the damage. :) That is how Crumble zones work, the front end has to get in that, to be safe and flexible for passengers.

  • decent

  • not that bad, considering that it's pretty old

  • it only 7 not that old

  • for vehicle safety, 7 years is a lot. 7 years ago, there were more dangerous vehicles on the roads. the last 10 years, safety in vehicles has gone up a LOT.

  • yeah your right
