yeah the valves on xt 600 just stay put for some reason i had a strage rattle around 3500 rpm it turned out to be the cam chain raplaced it and now it runs good just check evry time and you should be safe

You were lucky to have noticed the cam chain on time!

My bike was feeling a little under powered and when I was passing a slow truck the cam chain broke!

It wasn't making any weird sounds like yours is in this clip tho...

I was lucky, I only had to replace the cam chain and both exhaust valves...

Yes, cam chain was stretched way too much.

Hvala. Sad znam kako to zvuči. Ja sam imao sličan problem, samo je zvuk bio dosta dublji. Ispostavilo se da glava od mašine nije uredu. Dok sam mijenjao glavu kontao sam možda da promijenim i lanac, ali nije mi se dalo jer bih morao skidati mašinu. Zamijenio sam glavu i sada prdeka normalno dok opet nešto ne rikne. :)

As it seems this was not valves sound, but sound of worn off cam chain. I replaced it, and now machine sound preaty heathy.

wow. I got my whole xt600 2KF '89 for just over 1000 EUR. :)
