Mange jeg prater med sier at Offroadere ikke har noe sprut i motoren, men jeg synes nå det var bra sprut i den der. Sjøl så har jeg nå en 1986 FJ1100. Min andre sykkel. Den første jeg hadde var en 1985 Suzuki GSXR750.
Ha en fortsatt fin søndag. Våren er like rundt gjørnet :)
An Africa twin is a great bike, I had one somewhere in the 90's. I started with transalp, then moved to Africa Twin and then the Varadero. For offroad the Africa Twin is the best, the Transalp misses the power but is fun to ride with and the Varadero is to heavy for offroad and in my opinion is more for the road. The Varadero is a beast, very strong. But for offroad, I choose Africa Twin.
Nice video good rider :-) But the Yamaha Supertenéré was better. She had 10 PS more 12kg less and was faster (200km/h).She is the Dakar champion with 7 victorys.
Yamaha won the Dakar rallye in 1991,1992,1993,1995,1996,1997,1998 ! And the bike not was "designed" but Dakar bike was build on base Super Tenéré :-) Africa is good bike but XTZ 750 is better : lighter, faster, stronger :-)
NIIIIIIIICE... That superb bike is quite easy to handle for a "regular use" but in this case, well, congratulations, the biker's so good that it seems easy to achieve!!!! I wish I could do it!!! mine is from 1991, it is unbreakable. What a good bike! the next one will be an AT as well. The lest models are very nice!
i'm going to travel to africa by motorcycle. Our idea was to ride with an africa twin. Is this a good choise? cause an africa twin is quite heavy an i don't know if it consume a lot of fuel!
this is an excellent choice of bike fuel is not bad easy 40 mile per gallon its around 250kb but this is fine if you have good riding experience the rd04 africa twin was designed for the dakar that may be a better choice for deep sand but study your route carefully first rd04= heavy offroad rd07= tarmac light offroad
Its a good choice although if you´re looking for something with power, reliability and good performances consider the BMW´s. The transmission is a key point (not a chain but a cardan) two clinders but not in V shape (motorwise). They rock for Africa....
yeah u get the reliability from the bmw but the cost is farm from the africa twin it is also far to heavy for serious offroad there still excellent touring bikes it all depends on the money and rider lol
Bra håndtering av sykkelen det :)

the man is at least 190 cms and 90 kgs.But of course, that is not an excuse.
I hear people blaming ATs for being too heavy to handle, then going and buying tank-like GS s.
