How so, Iam glad I found someone that thinks like i do about this modern day crap they call country. I grew up on real country. Even your gospel has changed. The old time music is gone. George Jones said it right, Us older ones ant dead yet.
One of the few true country artists, the likes of Ray Price, and Faron Young, As others have said, not like the so-called singers nowadays. Good listening!
well mo, i dont listen to this new crapola either, thats why im here listenin to george. and, thats why they have a ernest tubbs record shop, if it can be got, they can get it.
I've have played country music all of my life - - it does not get any more country than this. This song is every bit as important as anything Hank Sr. ever did. Stardell - Joe Leake, Rosedale, MD
I'm probably not quite as old as I sound (although I'm seem to be getting older), and I realize that styles & trends change; people come and go. But I stopped listening to country music about 20 years ago, and probably will never go back. There hasn't been a true country record made since "He Stopped Loving Her Today".
When you listen to good 'ol country from these good 'ol boys, you hear the words loud and clear, not like the modern rock with noisy bands and you have no idea what their saying. Just great listening to George Morgan and his daughter is also.
THIS IS COUNTRY MUSIC... Not like the Rockstar wannabe's that are in Nashville today claiming to be country . Hi 5..... and thanks for posting.......... Mike
THANK YOU! I have Justin Trevino's version of this from a few years back, but hadn't heard the original. George Morgan left us too early. KEEP 'EM COMIN'
In my humble opinion, this is by far the best recording of this song. Thanks for posting.*****
