  • OH YA, lets disregard the fact that this only takes the place of several welders, cutters, torches etc. YA lets just talk about how the weld "LOOKS"

OH WAIT, ya that's right the welds just happen to be as strong or stronger than any other weld.....but sadly the weld doesn't "look" pretty.

GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!!! Go ahead spend 15K on a dozed tools to do what this thing does and then brag about how pretty your weld are. SHHHHESH

  • Are you kidding me? These welds would get you fired and thrown out of any shop I"ve ever seen. As the poster below stated, Either the machine isn't capable of producing quality welds or the operator is a dunce. As this is a video from the manufacturer, I'd wager than the machine is the culprit.

  • The welds look terrible. They would never pass a visual inspection. The plasma seems to have a lot of dross and the cut looks pretty wide. Maybe it is just the operator or it could be the torch pressure pushing the weld puddle all over the place. I think I will stick with my TIG machine until I see some drastic improvement with its welding capability.

  • I'm not knocking Miller welders by no means, they have great welders. I actually have the best Snap-On Mig welder you can get and its a great welder too. The Multiplaz is half the price though and can do a great job too. Plus its a plasma cutter.

  • Not only does weld it but it cuts it too. Works great with any metal i've tried. There is an adaptor for hard to reach places too. One of its mosted used features in our shop is the heating function. You can heat the nut on a bolt red hot and not the bolt, helps alot. The craziest parts are that it burns mostly water and you can carry the whole assmebly supplies and everything in one hand. Awesome machine.

  • I have been using the 3500 for about 4 months now. I work at a body and mechaincs shop and this is a very good machine for alot of different things. The welds in this video are not that great in this video but i think its the user because I can do better and I know people better than me. You could pay over $6000.00 for a Miller Dynasty that only welds up 1/4 inch steel. Orrr you could pay $2000.00 for a machine that that easily welds 3/8" steel, aluminum, cast (is awesome) copper, stainless too

  • @1SciencePlasmaWorks My Miller Dynasty cost around $4K, and will burn through 1/4" Steel with no issues. Aluminium, Copper, Stainless, etc.. are all easily done by the Miller too. I would love to try this welder though.

  • Most of these welds are very poor, and only on thin metals. Looks like the operator or the machine needs some improvement.

Can't pass visual test.. wouldn't even bother. I'll keep my Miller Dynasty 200.

  • The welding is not very good. Is that the best the machine can do or is it an experienced operator?

  • I have been welding for 25 years. This is a very nice looking machine. The only problem I could see with it's use would be in tight spots. Would like to see it being used in 4G or over head position. There was no flux on the rod being used. Is there a special place to order rods just for this machine? Who classifies them for shear and tensile strength? Most multi tools can be a big let down? Might give it a year or so before I purchase one. Lot's of questions but a neat machine!!

  • now just amp that up 100,000x and you got yourself a personal dooms day machine. blue beam of death FTW

  • nice little unit. But slow.....I have a single phase BOC 40AMP plasma which cuts upto 12mm and a 180AMP MIG that welds upto 10mm that cost me less than this unit combined. Both machines are 8kg and 20kg recepectively. Sure MIG is not as fine a job as TIG, but the process is 10X quicker.

  • Plasma is a waste of time and productivity. It has no value in the Pipe and Petro industry.

  • Best welding vid I've seen yet.

  • whats the pros and cons or plasma welding presay tig?

  • @nemitz71

Not quite as pretty as TIG, but... 100% duty cycle, no need for Argon gas, no tungsten to replace/sharpen.

  • nice video, excellent welder.

    Thank you.

  • where is the video?

  • Wow, excellent welds. Very cool welder. Post some cutting videos if you have them.
