  • is it just a concept? i want to try it

  • Be fast and win iPhone 5: goo.gl\k55ge

  • cool concept. but people could easily program an app that finds other accounts under the same username or uses p2p to get what other people saw when they used the app and then everyone know he was parying like it was 1999

  • 4 stars ????? c'mon...

  • "Augmented whatever" seems to be the new catch phrase these days. I guess all these nonsensical augmented apps are "augmenting" someone's bank account too.

  • Pokedex?

  • Woman with phone = Angela

    surfer hair guy = Jim

    post-it girl = Pam

    (The Office)

  • what a bitch, 4 stars!?

  • @HoneySiegalSurvivor I trust facebook even less and haven't used them in years. I dont think its so much about Obama though. All things considered he's new in the game

  • @HoneySiegalSurvivor I dont doubt it. I personally dont use services which I feel would have too much control over too much of my information. Google being the biggest player in all that I think. You'd be suprised how much they know about everybody but no one knows what they were doing with all of that info

  • @ Rich stop being a fanboy. Both phones are great. Just because you like your iphone doesn't mean everything else sucks. I live my iphone, ipod touch, and evo. Still debating should I get ipad or wait for android tablet or ipad 2

  • Its not for Android or iphone. RIM bought TAT last year

  • @IRejectUrReality TAT linked to fraud of Obama's lawfirm Sidley Austin using my company of Zenadev ILLEGALLY in SEC documents. The people behind the development of the technologies in a company called Insilco. The kicker is how the real story putting your data into a computerized system like facebook gives the crooks as high as attorney Obama the opportunity to do illegal stuff .They made medical, bank and court records of me DEAD. How much did RIM pay? OBAMA IS A CROOKED ATTORNEY. Honey Siegal

  • The issue is its only on android at the moment. SUCKS, bring it to iPhone. even charge for it, i don't care i'll pay for it. But there is no way i'm buying an android phone.

  • will this go to andriod

  • Great for business/networking!

  • I would like to see a TAT augmented ID on Android!

  • Creeepy as fuck. But congrats for this guy for being rich now from selling to apple.

  • Apple bought this (y)

  • this is awesome.

  • Apple just copped this for a cool 30 million. Can't wait to use it when the get it up and running.

  • Apple bought it.

  • Pulling a number just got a whole lot easier..

No interaction needed, just hold a phone at them until their face matches up :o

  • if you put it on the internet to begin with, why are people so worried about privacy when people in the same room can see this info?

  • woow apple bought this happpy

  • i would put porn all around my head

  • OMG DO WANT THIS

  • And soon there will be nothing left to hide. AI will advance so well that they will use this information to their advantage when they inevitably take over. Then the Cylons will... Opps, sorry. I'm spoiling it for you all. Be very afraid of your toaster.

  • Oh man this would be so handy in a night club.

"Cathy Davis: 2/5 stars, Bad kisser, Has crabs "

  • This is the most useful application I have seen. I just can't believe there isn't a startup doing this yet.

  • WOw Super

  • What prevents someone from creating a profile on your behalf and putting information about you such as a review? Now when someone points at you they can see all your reviews/ratings. Something to think about...

  • OH NO! People will point their cameras at me and MAGICALLY find out my bank info!

  • Fucking scary...

  • that is pretty awesome

  • I want it for the iphone

  • iphone?

  • some people will refuse using it. some people will embrace the paradigm shift in social interactions. The best way to go, IMO, would be enabling people to set their levels of privacy settings as in any social media networks. Users should be able to select who can identify you.

  • Everybody who is complainging bout privacy obviously do not understand how this works. If you don't sign up and make a profile for this, then it will not find any info on you. People can point cameras at you all day long and nothing will pop up UNLESS YOU HAVE CREATED A PROFILE. You sign up, create an account, just like facebook and every other social networking site. Then the stuff that does pop up is only stuff that you choose to make available. There is nothing sinister about this.

  • I think it's funny how people bitch and moan about losing their privacy. From what I see, all the information people can see is stuff you put up in the first place. You're not losing any privacy you haven't already freely given away. If you don't want people to know, don 't put it out there.

  • This is actually pretty damn awesome. Just don't be an idiot about what you make available and you're good.

  • Privacy is taken into consideration...many news channels have already put down TAT on this subject, and were not willing to listen to them. They said that this is meant to be a secure network and you have complete control over what information shows. When taken into a business setting, like the video, this is a tool that has a lot of potential.

  • ow i don't belive!

  • MAKE THIS FOR THE ANDROID!

  • Amazing :D Want!

  • everyones worried about privacy, what about myspace or facebook or even youtube , aren't ya already putting all your info there for the world? i see opportunity & new stuff being made with this.

  • TAT software is nice, but this Software is not good, i dont like it, there would be no privacy if everybody can do that. Thats stupid grabbing via photo and then comes a profile up where u can vote with stars and can write any comment about the person.

Plz no thats a bad idea TAT, u are better in creating awesome OS for devices. But this really sucks.

  • bullshit

  • Comment removed

  • i just put my iphone in the garbage until a week using n900, n900 is going to change the world.

  • DON'T WANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • As far as kidnapping or anything like that goes, it doesnt really apply here. Because majority of the time for kidnapping the victim usually knows the person doing the kidnapping or its completely at random. they wouldnt really take the time to get to know your name or care ("it puts the lotion in the basket" type deal).

  • I think some people are blowing this way out of proportion. Just as it was demonstrated in the video they user had control of what information was being shown. If you dont set anything up to share then none of your information would pop up. To take it a step further if you did not want anyone to know anything about you could set it up to show a contact info that said "stop pointing your camera at me" or anything along those lines.

  • @valcore01 or just not download the app at all lol

  • Where can I download this app?:

  • it doesnt work actually, have you seen a cam on the front side of your iphone? besides, apple does not give access to the cam API. nice concept though, .. but it is only a concept

  • i wouldnt worry about privacy only because of the option to interchange the applications

  • It's exactly as Josh Harris predicted. Look up his documentary titled We Live In Public. The world is falling into a public world through internet capabilities such as this one, and soon we will no longer see privacy as a societal norm. Anyone's life can be pulled up right in front of our eyes at the click of a button.

  • And despite my love of technology, the loss of privacy could have chillnig results on the limits of personal freedom. We really need to think about how far we push these limits before big brother statists slit our throats with them.

  • i love how this would never work on an iphone, cause the camera is on the other side.

unless it works with the mirror?!?!?!??!?!

  • Its nice BUT it is other step to blogal information control of every person who "is or was" online. I don't like it. If I'd like company presentation or if I'd like to know something about somebody I'd prefer to talk with him (not to stalk him on the internet behind his back) I am IT and I regred that I'm part of this upcoming information control dictatorship and censorship.

  • I like the stupid acoustic guitar music when that dudes name pops up in the presentation.

  • No need for facial recognition here. As long as I have it on my pocket, how difficult would it be for other phones to detect it, and extract information from there instead?

  • This is the future of technology, whether you guys like it or not. This kind of technology is already being used in Japan. You will soon start hearing a lot about CRT, which isn't face recognition but you can basically aim your phone at a product that has a code embedded in it and you can go directly to that website for the product or wherever they choose to direct you. It's all about convenience, interconnectivity, and convenience.

  • Sounds annoying. It won't be hard to notice tons of people aiming their phones directly at you more often with this tech. You'll be wondering if they're taking pics of you or recording video also. And hey, the police/govt. might just want their own private channel they can access when they point their cameras at you too.

  • Understand that ppl will only see what you share, dont be dumbasses about privacy, if you don't want ppl to see something just dont share/use it

  • It's pretty obvious that people only see what you share. It's funny that people think this is a stalker app when it's no worse than facebook or any other internet footprint you leave.

  • TAT, you people are literally the scum of the earth.

  • Next time... Numbers, then...we will never be a individual person again.

  • Time to erase all my things in internet, starting by facebook

  • Where is my privacy ??? bitch

  • All day long I think of things

    but nothing seems to satisfy

    Think I'll lose my mind

if I don't find something to pacify

Can you help me, occupy my brain?

    Oh yeah!!!!

  • I hate companies who tape over the logo of other products. YES you are using a iPhone!!!

  • they used the iphone for an example. They develope UIs (User interface) that can be used on more then one type of phone. Its not an app yet because apple wont alow augmented reality apps until sept. They arent selling the phone, just the UI. It will probaly be in app store in the future

  • Yes. It is an iPhone, but we didn't want people to focus on the device, but the UI and application.

  • copy copy

  • the eden of the east!!!!

  • NEVER!

  • higashi no eden lol!

  • No thank you. Welcome to stalkerville, population, YOU.

  • Hmm couldn't the sw figure out Dan had a tie on his neck on thus set his profile automatically or at least use the last config?

And hmm these sure look like iphones, maybe it's the 3GS?

    Nice work!

  • they used the iphone for an example. They develope UIs (User interface) that can be used on more then one type of phone. Its not an app yet becauseapple wont alow augmented reality apps until sept.

  • 1star, They already sell our personal info to 3rd party companies. Now they want our biological info??? They do this shit for biometrics, Do you all really want machines scientifically tracking and predicting your behavior and identifying your strenghts and weaknesses. This is not freedom. This video is propaganda using "positive reinforcement " to make it acceptable.WAKE UP!! We ar losing our freedoms!!

  • this looks pretty cool! :D this maybe the iphone killer, but i doubt that Apple wont make a new phone! and i dont think any company would compete against the COLOSSUS App Store! :S

  • looks pretty cool but no doubt its gonna be expensive

  • Big Brother is ALREADY watching us terrible indeed

  • am i wrong or what, you can see the guy making a portrait ... but the iphone doesnt have a fron-camera?

  • I think it's a mock-up movie playing on the phone with someone tapping the screen in the appropriate places rather than a functional application.

  • That's not an iPhone.

  • only 4 stars.... what a shame.

  • DAMN! CRAZY

  • where is ur goddamn privacy if any jerk can do that

  • For some reason I don't really see this catching on. But I guess if you just remember to leave out your private info you should be fine. Still, you have a point.

  • @Scyllllla if you are worried about privacy, just don't post something that you don't want to be on the web, and it won't be available. Including your name, face and penis length. lol.

  • that was bucck******

  • This could be good but where there is technology, there are people who will find ways to abuse it and maybe even use it to do harm to other people.

  • The thing is you may share or not your info.

    That's freedom. Hiperliving!

  • Oh it's so STALKIN' 2.0

  • lol you can rate people how weird :p

    like videos

  • [repost] @[[MayasNet|dbalieiro]]

  • did you see, when you go to the disco all the people will be flashing hot girls to know all the information ahah

  • ahahaha

  • Great material for the iPhone. The app's response, function, and interface are just beautifully presented. TAT, you guys are doing a real good job with this and this application has the potential to wow a lot of people. Great job.

  • I can do that now.I just walk up to someone say "hi my name is hue.what is yours?"

  • my god

  • Por eso me gusta la serie "Ghost in the shell" stand alone complex",seguro que tomaron la idea de alli.

  • forget it, I don't want to lose my privacy.......

  • Does it do cat shit recognition?

  • It's interesting to watch, but in reality it's a bit limited and inefficient in that it affects only those who see you in real life. It might be fun in a small group or class, but someone with just a simple web page would reach far more people without being this fancy. Im sure it might fit in somewhere..

I think i just had an orgasm

  • I'm scared.....

  • This is fucking scary.

  • @psykocreep No, this is fucking awesome!

  • @psykocreep AGREED. More scary for me than most. Records of me DEAD linked to fraud of TAT and AT&T at the highest levels of government and security. I am one mother who can and will make a difference.

Check out the links on my website especially SEC documents which indicate TAT and Bank One fraud of the Obama administration linked to this technology.

No wonder google youtube keeps trying to muzzle the truth. We need some honest law enforcement to do their job. Help me save the United States.H

  • Madre mia, que miedo.....

  • Oh, btw, they forgot to mention, but the woman is a serial killer.

  • Cool technology, but the app is not even close to what its potential is. Holding a camera up to someone randomly? Kinda wierd. When an application that really well utilizes this ID technology hits the markets a few years from now, everyone will latch on. This one will die fairly quickly, or never even get off the ground!

  • kinda like a human pokedex...

  • ugh how awkward would it be just recording someones face infront of them

  • marking of the beast?

  • wellcome to 1984

  • Oh man what a scary future we have ahead of us.

  • ohhhh. so cool.

  • is this on the app store yet?

  • This looks amazing. Amazingly scary that is. I'd never want a complete stranger to get info on me like that just from pointing their smart phone at my face.

I think we're letting technology to yet again take over our souls. If I want someone to know my name, I'll decide whether to tell them or not.

Even if I set it so that only my contacts could 'find' me using this, it's so unpractical. The obvious thing to do would be to find you from the list on whatever service you're using; Facebook, etc

  • What is that music? Is that Zero 7? I wanna buy it.

  • WOOOOW

  • Ah!

  • great some old pedo points his mobile at some random kid and gets aaaall there information

    anyone up for kidnapping?

  • For any of you worrying about privacy issues, consider that you will always have the option to make your information invisible to people. But trust me, you won't want to for long when everyone else is enjoying the crap out of it.

  • That is pretty awesome but i really dont think this is safe in this stalker-pedo world we have going on here =/

  • awesome, but how does his face show up when the phone is facing him ? there is no camera on the front of the iphone... how are we going to set out "ID" ?

  • 88% done.

  • It's great that this exists - without the guy's ID I would have sworn he was Murray Hewitt from Flight of the Conchords

  • incredible.......

  • this is pretty sick, kinda creepy in a way, but totally cool

  • Cool. that's some great advancement in technology.

  • Well I don't use Myspace or anything like that, but this is kinda cool.

  • omg very nice... the twitter thing, I dunno about that.

  • extremely kool if it was real

  • Is it me, or does the company name 'Tat' invoke a sense of crappiness? Shame really because the app looks pretty cool.
