I'm not quite sure what I'm doing wrong, but every time I try to do the rope twist braid thing, it always unravels. does is matter if I'm doing it with a really thick piece of hair?
@blue0eyes6 It's probably because you're turning the strands in the wrong direction :) Watch how I turn them. They should both be twisted say, "clockwise", and then twisted TOGETHER "counter clockwise". Or vice versa, but the main point is that you twist them individually one way and then TOGETHER the opposite way.
Thanks for such an informative video. I'm getting married next year, and I have a Renaissance inspired wedding dress, and I was looking for a way to do my hair... I really hope its long enough by then, because I'd really like to do that!
Damn thats ugly. It looked very pretty as just a rope braid on the side.

if you want to hide the pony tail holder, just wrap it about an inch awau from your head and hide it under when you wrap it ;)

Thanks. I found this helpful. I have exceptionally long hair that I sometimes braid and I'm always looking for new ways to wear my hair.
