I figured the chords on the fretboard so, that I can play the root on e6th- or a5thstring. mostly I play root and 5, going one string down or up, depends where the root is. additional I play the thirds and seconds, some major sevens. all this by ear. I´m an hobbyplayer.

im working on that right now for the exams to attend jazz school. what concept do you use to play those chords with a walking bass line?
im kinda a bit newbie-like when i play it, like being very basic oriented. wanna change that.... any tips? :)
