Yes people train their horses to do what they want them to do. Some horses love to jump or run others don't. If they don't like it they don't do it well despite training. If they don't do well then that horse is not going to be in that "sport" anymore b/c you can't win on a horse that doesn't do well. I have a mare that loves to be jumped and raced...you can tell if they like it or not. Yes some riders/trainers are cruel but you can't say they all are based on the sport the horse performs.

fuckin cruel to put a horse over a jump like THAT. i can imagine the shape his sesamoids are in. Its NOT a matter of reading the body language what you see is the horse is trained not to REFUSE the jump lest he suffer the repercussions.

Please, guys, do not suffer, "Huaso" was an extraordinary horse, it didn't suffer by this jump, there are more films from that time about Huaso's jumpings, sometimes it used to put its nose on the floor, sometimes from its own decission it jumped over a 2 metters hight wall. Alberto Larraguibel really loved "Huaso" and also knew the horse he was riding on, he knew that Huaso could jump. As a deserved tribute Huaso never jumped again and was cared at its 26 or 29 years.

@gentlekaa there are no spurs of any kind in the captain's boots or any whip, that I can see. it's a matter of reading the horses body languaje. he ramed against the obstacle, no fears what so ever. any one who rides can tell.

1. if the guinnus world records thought there was animal abuse to this they wont allow it and would have siad no to making this a world record.

2. the rider obvislly have experiance in jumping AND horses and would no if this was cruel.

3. if the horse didnt want to jump dont u think he would of refussed it becase he knew the height and ovblissly he is going to have a small trip up at the end i do tht when i jump my dog when i ride or on foot

This jump is 8' 1 1/4" and the record was set in 1949 in Chile. It has never been broken. Horses is a sport. Horses are NOT crazy and many love to jump so much they run around the ring jumping all by themselves

Horse jumping is NOT an abuse it's a SPORT just like anything else. Some horses are just naturally crazy and dangerous jumping does not do that to horses.

There was a world record almost 3 meters, but the horse had SO MUCH force on its front legs, but he didnt break them, not at all, but he had the force over loaded and he went crazy, because he didnt know what was happening, and he went sso crazy, that he had to be shot, coz noone couldnt handle the horse *cwies* high jumping is an ABUSE

but a horse named Kings Own jumped 8ft 31/2 in. Thats a little more than what Huaso jumped. It wasn't recorded because the crowd wasn't public.

But it is still increadible!
