i dont think the director should have made cladwell shout during his song. A man who is in power would never use shouting as a way to convince people. Also it kind of blur his words
cladwell doesnt pronounce his words enough, its to breathy, but i reaallllly like bobby. my musical theater class is putting on this show,but we havnt cast it yet. i want to audition for bobby, but this guy sets a pretty high bar for high school bobby strongs
This is really good. My school is about to do it and I'm really hoping it's just this good. I think Hope sings a bit too loudly at the end and I really don't like Cladwell. Other then that it's all good.
My school did this show the other year. Although I can't make the statement that yours was better than ours(school pride, you see) I can honestly say that this is one of the best versions I've seen, especially for an athletically oriented high school.
And to the previous comment, Urinetown is supposed to have a fairly large cast. Between the main characters, townspeople, Cladwell's cronies, you amass a good deal.
SJRTheater belief is to give as many as possible the chance to shine, including those who are talented but might not be geared for theater. Thats not a specific quote, but a general idea, but at an all boys school in a very athletically oriented school, our cast consists of lax, soccer, baseball, football, and hockey players!!

I kinda liked him shouting.
It was original in my opinion.
I love it.
I have about 42 people on the whole cast and I kinda like it.

this cst should NEVER be this big...the score for this show is hard...my school is gooing to do it soon and wehave a big cast too =(
hopefully we will be less akward with our blocking then they were. BUT i loved the bobby and the set was good.
