@AndromedaBeta The song is called "This is Always" written by Mack Gordon. You can find it on the Chet baker cd "My Funny Valentine" if not on itunes. One of my fav Chet songs and I have many,lol. Hope this helps.

Chet Baker's music was fantastic. But it's a fact worthy of comment that he fell apart and ruined his body. He wasn't jesus christ. You can love his music and his contribution to his craft and still not be blind to the fact that his teeth rotted clean out of his head (amongst other things) due almost entirely to his bad habits going totally out of control. Get over it.

I like how dec15 and I both get thumbs down for saying, in essence, that Chet died looking almost 30 years older than he was. It might be a bit off topic, and maybe it's not flattering to Chet, but look - it's true. I am not criticizing people for loving Chet Baker - he is one of my personal favorites. It's just the truth. Few people look at 58 as they did at 28. But 30 years usually does not take people from Adonis to Boris Karloff in the Mummy. Irreverent; maybe. Disrespectful; not my intent.

Chet Baker was a brilliant, genius musician. He was not a perfect human being. There are plenty of praiseworthy comments in this thread about Chet. I never said he was not worthy of that praise. I don't think otherwise. Nothing I said should be taken as any kind of contradiction to the fact that Chet Baker was a great musician.
