We took apart an existing GSX-R 600 gear box and measured all the parts and gears by hand with simple measuring tools such as calipers. Then the parts are CAD'ed in solidworks and pro/e and imported to Autodesk VIZ for animation.
great man... the video animation i did can not even come close to this. great choice of music and the way you move the camera. just a curiosity how long did it take you to do all this. i might be doing something similar for my fyp in two years time. thank you so much.
Great job Neme! I've actually rebuilt a GSXR transmission, and your breakaway is more accurate than anything I've seen online... I'm sure you got an "A", but I'm going to say great work anyway ~ GSXRJJordan @ zilvia

I wouldn't be able to concentrate for a long enough period to even complete a few parts for a project like this.

Wow, fantastic job. How many man-hours went into the project?
fookthefrench 4 years ago
About 2 weeks and around 6-8 hours a day.
We weren't completely comfortable with the software and the work flow and interface of autodesk viz was pretty annoying

it's great work...but clutch and paddle shift do not go together, no?
msmittynu 4 years ago
It's not necessary to declutch during an upshift, but it was to demonstrate how the clutch assembly works.

When I was younger I used to nitpick at great works until I learned a lesson.
Dont criticize anything, even in an indirect manner, if you can't (or didnt) do it yourself.

I took the class about 5 years ago and it took about half a semester back then. Probably the same now.
