personally i prefer the rs turbo for looks and power etc but i prefer the RS1800 at it has the mk3.5 strengthened shell, dont rust as easy and is newer.

i owned one. it was a 1.6 CVH with a garrett TO2 turbocharger, 133 hp, same block as the escort RS turbo but with a smaller, more responsive charger at lower revs. huuuuge fun but very, very dangerous. bad brakes, suspension, handling. very fast though. mine was a '93 and it was the fastest hot hatch at the time. top speed 212 km/h , 0-100 km/h : 7.8 sec. i really miss it..

how exactly are fords slow? the GT, RS, XR and ST are all superbly fast for the era and are in no way classed "slow". These fiesta's are old but where deemed pocket rockets against the likes of the R5, 205 GTi etc.

yeh its all about gettin of the line and gearing it right, some of them could of been a second quicker/slower, 80% of it is the driver. still lovely RS's, some looked daft though, like the 5dr? and was that an RS1800 at the end.
