@anahowana Yeah, unfortunately. It's a really cheap Marshall. It's not bad for rock music, but the distortion and low-end is pretty weak. I'm not using the distortion from the amp on any of our videos... I use the Digitech Metal Master pedal.
@jmcatrow voila!!! i was really surprised by the oomph, the tightness&the bottom end since it's a solid state marshall, btw Chuck Schuldiner used to have the same model.i think that i know the kind of tones you like thus i advise you to see this, it gives a new meaning to the word: tight! watch?v=0jkhMwix31M
@cantthink0f0ne Slash more-so than Dime cause Slash was my first "guitar god". But yeah, the lick you're talkin about is pretty close to a lick Dime does in 'Walk'. Definitely.
@cantthink0f0ne Actually, now that I go back and watch it... the lick I was talkin about is in my 'Devastation' solo. Don't know which one you're talkin about in this one... but I certainly ain't gonna deny it, haha.
Thank you. I'm definitely not as technically-skilled as most lead guitarists... but if ya like this one, check out the lead in "Devastation"... I consider that one my best. Theres a few vids of it on here, but im not sure which one you can hear the solo best.
Many thanks on the guitar work man! And yea, the singer on this is our buddy Kris filling-in from the Maryland metaller's, "Darkness Foretold". They're totally righteous... check em out via our Myspace. We need a permanent singer now actually.
to the dude who played the solo, your marshall amp is a solidstate one, isn't it?

i cant help but hear a dime influence in the leads.. you do this thing twice or three times in the solo, its a dime lick, and it fits great.
