  • Why we are not allowed to use a new cube (1 month)?

  • How much does cocacola pay you for this vid?

  • what brand of cube are you using?

  • does wd40 work?

  • @erikboi777 NO

  • Seems like it could easily get on the stickers this way. Wont it fuck them up?

  • @GamePortable no im sure it was silicone spray. its crc heavy duty spray

  • @JBoogie300 I have a Sheng En F2 speed cube. You dont need to lube the speed cube because its prelubed. Hint: Its called a speed cube

  • @Geoized but then it slowed down after like a month. then i lubed it

  • @JBoogie300 thats weird, I have the same cube for over 3 months already and its working fine ... Where'd you buy the cube?

  • Nice i got my time from 3-4 mins to 1-2 mins by this :)

  • my pieces turned grayish on the inner part. is that good or bad?? i did this on a Shen En F2 speedcube.

  • Can i use Crc silicone spray (not heavy duty, just silicone spray?)

  • i wan't to know something, it's the same silicone that is used for the cars dashboard???

  • U spray it 2 times?

  • choose the silicone that does not contain any petroleum disstilates

  • hi...i just bought my cube...is it ok if i lube it now or i have to play with it for like a week or so?

  • use vaseline so it melt the cube a little, then wipe it clean and then clean it more with alcohol or goo-gone and then lube with silicone

  • i dont have silicone :( btw what is silicone spray used for anyway?

  • coke

  • i sprayed my cubies with silicone on a pepper bag on my bathroom floor but for some reason my bathroom floor is slippery. I want to do some more spraying. Where is a good place to do it? Outside is will get rained on and blown away.

  • You could try to use a counter or something. Pretty much anywhere that's flat. When you paper under the pieces, make sure there's a lot of paper under and around so that the silicone doesn't get everywhere.

  • @biggajigga721 will it be smelly?

  • i tried wd-40 and it didn't work the best. my cube is choppy when it turns. i suggest not using it.

  • is it ok if i do this twice or does it make it overlubed?

  • I would recommend lubing it once and reassembling your cube to see if it was enough spray. If it's not to your liking, re-lube it. Be careful though, if the silicone builds up, it'll get sticky.

  • Coca -Cola Ad

  • I live in UK where can I buy silicone spray? and what will it be called??

  • Please check in the comments.

    It's been answered already.

  • Try 'Tableau Dry Lube'. Works pretty good. You can get it off the internet :)

  • I live inUK where can I get Silicone spray??

  • Wd-40 made my cube little faster but does sillicone spray make it faster`?

  • Where can i buy sillicone spray?

  • You can find it at Wal-Mart.

I've answered this in the comments before, please read them.

  • oo thx

  • can WD 40 help lubricate plz :( reply fast ppl

  • I said in the video that it isn't good to use WD-40.

Since it is petroleum based, it will eat away at the plastic in your cube.

  • uhhm uhhm i used WD 40 what do i have to do i used WD 40 before i watched this wid please HELP! reply plz

  • Wipe it out as best you can.

  • isnt WD-40 a sillicone spray?

  • No.

It is an oil based lubricant.

  • Comment removed

  • when i sprayed the silicone on it, the plastic inside my cube turned white. why is that?

  • It's the silicone itself.

  • my old cube has vaseline on it but now i have silicone to lubricate it. do i have to clean off the vaseline first?

  • If you keep the vaseline in, it'll keep eating away at your cube.

Wipe it out as well as you can with an old rag or paper towels and then lubricate it.

  • where do u get silicone spray??? PLZ RESPOND FAST I REALLY NEED TO LUBE MY CUBE.

  • hardware store

    like home depot

    walmart

    or somethin

  • THis is not so great all show u a way that takes less than 5 miunets just LOOK AT MY CHANNEL

  • can u use WD40?

  • Please read the description.

  • no it will melt ur cube

  • omg .. can some1 reply me???? if i dont have a silicone what sould i put??

  • buy it. really, every other lube out there is bad for your cube, like biggajigga721 said.

  • its called the store

  • Thanks, this really helps, i can do my cube in 20 seconds now!!! I put a video up of it, check it out.

  • Rembember guys/girls it really has to be CRC Heavy Duty Silicone or another product with only silicone in it. Or else it will turn really sticky and turns even worse than what you started with.

  • Hey Biggajigga721! it's me Jrockerdude91 again.just wanna let you know that I bought the CRC HEAVY DUTY SILICONE.and I did EXACTLY as you did.and it works PERFECT! thanks you so much man! and also GREAT tutorial =]]]]]

  • can i do the same thing with a megaminx?

  • hey...i heard silicone will turn into some glue thingy that makes ur cube stuck....but....i also heard that vaseline will eat ur stickers off....but...my cube (i found it) is reli smooth when i put vaseline in it..it wont eat the stickers because the cube isn't the original one...it's not stickers...more like...it's painted on...

  • for the sillicone part its only when u spray sillacone in wit the pieces not tooken out and the vaseline will eat the plastic and turn ur stickers white

  • I used to lube my cube with vaseline. The stickers wore off I bought new stickers and wiped off the vaseline, solved it constantly for a week. Put vaseline back in, solved it constantly for a few days, wiped it out, and the cycle continued.

Eventually I had a cube that moved incredibly smoothly with no vaseline inside. Now I have found some silicone and will try it out.

  • you need a puzl 3x3x3, they rock

  • CRC silicone is the best and contrary to the description, you do NOT need a used cube. You can use a new one, just give it a few solves. I have also found that you do NOT need to do this a bunch of times waiting 10 minutes in between. Just line up the cubies and spray ALL non sticker sides once, then wait just ONE session of 10 minutes. I've done this with several cubes in the past 24 hours using 3 used cubes and 2 Brand new ones that were solved about 5-10 times each.

  • does it HAVE to be CRC Heavy Duty Silicone? cause I bought Teflon Silicone Lubricant.can it still work? as long is silicone product? please let me know.Thank you so much Biggajigga721!

  • Make sure that it's 100% pure silicone and it doesn't contain any petroleum products.

It should be on the side of the can somewhere.

If it's pure silicone and it doesn't contain petroleum products, go for it.

  • can i use WT 400?

  • I would assume no.

Check the can to see if it's made of pure silicone.

If it isn't, don't use it.

  • o no!!!! mine is 2 days old.... is it gonna do somthing bad plz reply

  • Your cube is only 2 days old or the vaseline has been in for 2 days?

If your cube is only 2 days old, solve it maybe 10 or 15 more times.

If the vaseline has been in for 2 days, just take your cube apart, WIPE IT THOROUGHLY, and put it back together.

    See how it feels.

If its loose, great. If not, silicone it like I did in the video.

  • i put it but its no good

i tried wiping my vaseline off but not sure if i wiped it all help me plz reply

  • i did that and it sucks!

  • Are you sure you followed all of the instructions?

    How old was your cube?

    How much did you spray?

  • it's more smoother than before but i did the other method on my new cube and it is really fast.

the siliconespray has dryed here but actually you need to move it cuz otherwise is the effect not so much.

  • What other method?

  • u r so gay you the fuk would do that and have a timer just look at you fukin phone or somthing

  • You're cool dude.

  • why the fuck does it matter dumbfuck

  • Wow you're just as bad as him.

    Go away.

  • bad as who?

im saying that it doesnt matter to use a timer.

  • he actually just told you to go away. he is really serious.

  • why would i care

  • because you're a whimp. that's for sure. now shut up. for fuck sake.

  • i really dont care

  • how do you remove vasoline from your rubiks cube?

  • Take it apart like I did in this video and wipe each piece.

  • Does ANY silicone spray work?

  • EVERY, not any.

  • No.

Some silicone sprays have fillers such as oil in them.

Try looking on the side of the can and checking if it's 100% pure silicone, as that's what you want.

  • do they sell small bottles cuz i dont think ima need ahuge bottle i mean u must have alot of cubes i have 2 and thats a pretty big bottle hey and how much is that crc and were u get it????

  • Honestly a big can like this will cost you like 2 dollars, and you don't have to use it for just cubes.

Go spray it on all of your doors hinges or something lol.

I haven't seen a can smaller than this one though.

  • does this work on diys?

  • Yes.

Don't DIY's have the screw inside of them to adjust tightness?

  • yeah that just makes u control popping. the lubrication would make it faster.

  • my bad.. anything else i could possibly use, when the hell am i ever gonna need silic cone rofl

  • does wd 40 work

  • No.

    Read the description.

  • Is this a better way?

How frequent do you have to apply this?

Is it better than putting oil/cream?

    Hmmmmm.

  • You really only have to apply this once, but some people like to apply it more than once.

It's WAY better than oil/cream because oil/cream will actually build up and slow down your cube.

  • Well, I actually went to K Mart today, and instead of buying it for $10, I just sprayed my cube. I find it much better than cream as it lasts longer? Iunno, but it seems better and we'll see how long it'll last.

The silicon oil was good for making things more 'slippery' and good for 'children's toys' so I thought it was good, haha.

    Thanks for the tip :D

  • did it ruin your stickers

  • Nah.

Unlike Vaseline, which eats away at the plastic in your stickers, silicone doesn't do anything to the stickers.

  • lube your cube eh? Bet you do that a lot.

  • you find the spray silicone lube at any hard ware store. note "must be 18 yr older to buy. had to find that out the hard way=)"

  • I was able to buy it and I'm 14.

  • Views are over 9000 etc.

  • hey, has anyone tried non-spray silicone lubricant? i've been pondering about using it, since i can't seem to find silicone spray anywhere..

  • Hmm.

I've never seen regular silicone lubricant that wasn't a spray.

Is it in a power form, or what?

  • uhh do you mean "Powder"? actually, i'm not exactly sure, i've never used it before. i've only seem them in their containers. it looks like you'll need to squeeze it out or something.

  • Yeah I mean powder form sorry.

I dunno, whatever it is, check the label to see if its 100% pure silicone.

  • dont use the non spray its for sealing holes and stuff. so its more like glue.. you find the spray silicone lube at any hard ware store. note "must be 18 yr older to buy. had to find that out the hard way=)"

  • lol i notice u got that timer from dollar tree

  • I sprayed mine like you did, but when it dried, it wasn't as white and white bubbly-ish as yours, it only had a little bit of white but yes, I did spray them 2 times completely, would it still work fine? Is it possible to over-lubricate like this?

  • Yeah, it's fine if the white didn't show up, it probably means your sprays were more even compared to mine.

It's possible to over-lubricate using any method, but really if you did it like I did, you'll be fine.

  • it can be bedtime lube for your rusty pole too ay? xD

  • can you still use silicone even though you've alrady put vaseline in?

  • Yeah, but I would advise you to take apart your cube like you did in the video, and wipe the Vaseline out before you silicone it.

  • bright.

  • If I silicon my diy before I put Cubesmith tiles on it will it ruin the stickability? So I guess I'm asking if the silicon won't allow the tiles to stick on to the plastic.

  • Unless you have a thick film on the outside (which should only happen if you spray it directly on the outside lol), the tiles should stick.

The adhesive on the tiles is pretty strong, so I would imagine they would stick.

If you're still reluctant, just tile it and then apply the silicone.

  • Thanks!!!

  • does silicone ruin the stickers?

  • Nah.

But if it gets on the stickers the cube will get slippery for a little bit.

    It'll wear off though.

  • also, a great lubricant to use is vegetable oil. it won't eat away at your cube, and you probably already have it :D ... but, prepare to get your hands oily for about 3-5 solves or so .. so i suggest just wiping it down with a paper cloth often to remove the excess

  • Uh no.

Cooking oil will build-up into a thick black paste.

    Silicone is far superior.

  • iv hade my cube for years and i ony use vasolene and it works fine

  • do you know where can buy the silicone or Jig-A-Loo in hong kong

  • Because I don't really know what's out where you live, I would say try looking online for a company that ships silicone out to Hong Kong.

  • where do you buy silicone?

  • You can buy it at any hardware store, or any store that has an automotive department. It'll be next to the WD-40 and other lubricants.

  • wat happens if you lube a cube that has been sanded and been used for like 4 days?

  • If you clean out the sand, it should work fine.

  • Lol, my classmate has the same rubik's cube like this, Lube'd each side bla bla, when I turned it, it fell apart lol

  • can i use a skateboard bearing lube?

  • I don't think so, I think it's oil based.

  • with silicon... its sticky when you start off after the pieces are sprayed. the cube is 2 days old ( so New i guess) and its yh just kinda sticky. especially wen you move a side slowly you feel it stick.. is that just coz its a new cube thats causing this problem? - great vi btw =P

  • Yeah, the stickiness is from both the silicone and the new cube.

Just solve it a few times and it'll become faster/stick less.

  • yup

  • what about a lube that has graphite,.,,

  • It matters.

If it's pure graphite, you should be able to use it.

If it is a lubricant that has a filler, such as oil, don't use it.

  • i have the same lube as you i used it and its good but i noticed some with that lube gets awesome how long did it take for urs to break in?

  • What do you mean break in?

Are you asking how long will it take to loosen up?

It depends on how much you put in and how much you use your cube.

Around 10 solves for me to get used to it and for it to get loose.

  • thanks

  • hey i thought this was a porno, u discraced me.........

  • weird but my cube is fine and i use moisurizing lotion =P

  • Lol lotion isn't nearly as fast as silicone.

It'll diminish your cube's life too.

    Have fun.

  • lol

  • this is a lie petroleum jely works fine!!!!!!

  • Um lol.

    No, it doesn't.

  • what r u talking about i have had my cube lubed that way for months.... My cube is better than my friends whos cubes are lubed w/ silicone.

  • Oh well, preference is preference.

I'm not going to try to sway you the other way.

  • heY... wHAt do you caLL tHAT liQuid sPraY????

  • I cAlL thaT LIQuid SprAy SilICOnE.

  • k....tnX misTer.....i wiLL tRy tHAt....

  • eh, wasnt exactly what i was thinking when i clicked the link..

  • WD-40 ok?

  • Did you read the description?

WD-40, or any oil-based lubricant will destroy your cube. It'll make the plastic brittle, and eventually dissolve your cube.

  • Well, I guess I started too, but when I realized it was a materials listed, I thought I didn't need to read it. Fault on my part.

Any super stores sell CRC Heavy Duty Silicone? Walgreens, target, or a store of that kind?

  • Why is this method better than just spraying the inside. And does this do anything to the tiles?

  • This method makes the lubrication more thorough. The tiles aren't affected by the lubrication at all, they just become a little bit slippery if you put too much.

  • u cant but silicone spary un the UK, believe me, all i got to use it vaseline and wd40

  • Are you sure?

    There's gotta be silicone somewhere.

Have you checked any hardware stores?

  • ofcourse, in the UK you have homebase, wickes, B&Q, nothing, and no walmart in UK ofcourse

  • Well, you can either check there, or you can try buying online.

  • what happens if i lubericate a new cube???

  • It just won't be as fast as with a fairly used cube. The used cube has had the inside worn down slighty enough to allow the pieces to slide smoothly.

  • if I used vasivine, can I wash it off well and use silicone?

  • Yes.

  • i only use this method cause if u spray directly in the core it ruins ur cube and makes it pop easier

  • I've actually sprayed directly in the core.

I don't think it would damage your core because the silicone eventually goes in there anyways.

  • i cannot find silicone in my country mexico dude

  • Have you tried ordering online etc.

  • Um, I think my Rubik's cube is a ripoff. Got it at Target for pretty cheap. Everytime you move it, it makes a loud spring/twist sound. It moves REALLY fast already I've been told, but I was wondering if I could still use this method without damaging it. Have you encountered this before?

  • That sound is just the inner-working of the cube. I've had it sound like that before. Like a dull squeak right? You can still lubricate it this way..

  • i got mine at wal mart and it does the exact same thing, its just cause its new

  • i just noticed that u have a cubesmith cube, nice

  • Cubesmith tiles*

    Also thanks.

  • dont ever ever ever use WD-40 lubricant it will ruin ur cube all the way! when you put that in ur cube ur cube has an expiration date..

  • I've used it to wear down a REALLY tight cube when I'm too impatient to wait for a cube to break in. The key is to not leave it in there for a long time, and to clean it out really well afterwards.

  • oh god why can i use vasiline ? and what happenes if you put to much in it ?

  • If you use Vaseline, it'll wear away at your cube's plastic and make it weak. It may become so bad that your cube will fall apart.

  • wow it is not that bad of a deal they are cheap. besides no one has even proved that it is bad.. cubes where down no matter what u put in it..but i do agree i dont like vasaline..it makes it smooth and quiet but not faster.. silicone makes it faster but not so much quiet

  • if u only have vaseline(such as me), this is what i do. first open up THREE peices maximum of your cube, put vaseline on a q-tip, spread the vaseline around the axles of the cube. do this for each side. with common sense it can be done opening the cube only once. wash your hands, wet a washcloth wipe the vaseline off; dry. if you feel you haev to much vaseline, open the cube, wrap your finhger in paper towl, wipe off as much vaseline as possible, everywhere, close the cube, wash cube/hands

  • MY 4x4 is super lubed it is like one touch of a side it goes down! its so awesome. also i used the same silicone as you
