I cant believe some of the people commenting on here. This poor woman took the time to put a up an instructional video to help people get in shape and she gets a few dozen personal little digs made about her appearance.
I can't do those last two exercises where your completely on your side either on your elbow or arm - and I'm a bloke :( lol The second exercise looks much more within my grasp, so I'll focus on that. Thanks for the inspiration and thank you for the video. Peace out! :)
Good video. (In the opinion of a layperson... I am not a fitness expert.) I especially liked the last exercise, tho I had a little bit of trouble balancing myself...perhaps because I am not used to the exercise. I'm pretty thin..with lovehandles...so that's a clue as to my fitness level and experience with different exercises. Hoping the balancing will come over time.
And c'mon...people wasting their time on here criticizing the woman's appearance? Please.
As a Fatty McFatterson trying to tighten and tone, I really appreciate this video. I know I need to tighten my obliques, but a mental block has kept me from really working on them. Mostly it's being embarrassed that I'm so out of shape. Having this video handy helps me see exactly what to do, since I have never tried to work on this before.
Are there any exercises which are more challenging than these? I currently do side planks with a dip for 80 dips on each side (on elbow and feet elevated to be level with torso). I want an exercise where I can do no more than 10-20 reps, to really challenge the obliques.
I like to do the plank position, but every time I do it, by elbow/arm gets tired before my arm and I believe it is not suppose tot do that. Can anyone help me correct that?
You could try the side plank with a stability ball. , There would be no pressure on your elbow or shoulder, as your torso would would rest on the ball. It would be a bit tricky to stay balanced on it, though. You would have to do it close to a wall so you don't roll back.
ty so much ,,, normal woman figure should be 36-24-36 but my figure after excersice is 24 -36-24 ,,,, i m looking like cloun and i m so mad at myself,,,, by doing these oblique i m actually feeling my muscles and i loose 2 inches,,,,,,, ty again so sos much , u help me put together everything ,,,,,,, i m finally appreciated for my figure ,,,,,,

the dumb bell side bend is not fitting for women, it thickens the waist.
i think many women want to have a smaller waist, not thick muscular waist...
everything else is good
