  • first thing i want to say that my english is not good..

    i've some question

that is pre-split blast on the last row in front of slope ?

i want to discuss with you about controlled blasting ? do you mind ? my email addres : yazaazhari@gmail.com . thank's sir.

  • beautiful....

  • SENYOR PIROTECNIC,.. POT COMENÇAR LA MASCLETÀ....lol

  • That shit feels cool

  • Thx for post. Why was there that explosion along the fuse at 0:7 please?

  • @badback22 the explosion along the fuse is where we spliced 2 coils of 3.5g cord together - left about 15m on the roll at the junction

  • Nice shot!

  • Is this at the Ensham mine?

  • 5m heavy toe in that sucker, column charge of normal anfo... PF was about 0.4 - nice soft siltstone/mudstone - only issue was the bench in the far end, had to step up and down in height at the same time to avoid cut-offs, hence the frag that goes flying at the start

  • yep, dyno non-el 42's on the centre zipper, 109s herring-boned off on the echelons

  • Nice firing sequence, is it a non electric detonator employing zepper cut V - 1 ?

  • @renatobvillanueva yup - centrelifted shot using non-el... zipped down the middle with 42ms, and herringboned off the zipper with 109ms.....

  • looked like surface delays. Somewhere around 14's? Perfect shot though it rolled right through and no one died :)

  • was that straight anfo or heavy anfo?

  • wow amazing shot

  • Wow low powder factor eh? I have never blasted at a coal mine but I hear it can be quite a bitch. especially if you get those rolling coal seams all over the place. very nice shot.

  • wow!!!!

  • that looked insane

  • WICKED....they always look better when they are coming right at the camera....good work!

  • that is friggin awesome! 5 stars!

  • that was a good shot man

  • Wow

  • that sure looks like a coal shot to me.

  • how much do it cost a mine to have one shot like this

  • how much coal does that break up? would you say about 10-20 feet of ground is excavated by doing that? That was a lot of explosives. Was it old style tnt or that new stuff I can't remember the name of? (I learned tnt barely used anymore from discovery channel or something.)

  • hole depth is about 16m on average, and thats not coal being blasted, its overlying rock.... explosive used was a combination of a heavy anfo toe of 5m, and the column packed with anfo, with 5m of stemming on the top....... total powder factor for the shot was between 0.33 and 0.37

  • What's anfo? I drive a truck in a limestone quarry (i'm not a blaster). My company uses ammonium nitrate. How long did it take to drill all those holes?

  • took about 3 days for a pair of drills to do the holes. anfo is Ammonium Nitrate + Fuel Oil

  • @rollingthunder04 mmmmmm anfo, love playing with that stuff

  • You don't blast coal. Coal is a soft rock. All you gotta do to mine coal is dig at it and let it cave in. You can't blast in a coal mine due to the Methane. No flames or sparks alloweed in a coal mine or...BOOM!!!! You'll be pickin your eye balls outta your asshole.

  • you do blast coal....check out my vids....email me if you have any more questions

  • Yes i meant to say in underground mining you cant don't blast coal. Surface blasting is different.

  • yes, surface blasting is very different....i guess that i was assuming since the vid you commented on was above ground that you were referring to above ground blasting....but, in that case, you are correct about underground.... :)

  • lol! ownage!
