  • I grow avacado plants too. First thing I noticed about yours was....they need to have water to the top of the glass!

  • best baby avocado tree i have ever seen. the midle is so cute!

  • @Athecubus thanks athecubus :)

  • @minnierox7 change the water, wash the seed after a couple of days because you could could feel that the outside feels slimy. also, remove a bit of flesh or skin an the bottom, you will notice that when you remove the flesh, the part turn redish brown but if you remove the skin, it should be yellowish white because the flesh isn't cut off. Good luck!

  • the middle one looks so cute and adorable! :D

  • @Athecubus thank you so much. the middle one has grown big now :)

  • To grow an avocado put the seed in the soil point up circle down. Do a search for selected avocado variates to see how to plant a seed.

  • All i wanna know is:Why does your own voice freak you out?

  • @sandezack lol i guess i was surprised how low it was : D

  • @totomari1 im not to fond of my own voice either:)

  • You need to fill with water all the way to the top of the glass. I just did a video about my avocados. I invite you to watch it.

Thanks for sharing your avocados from seeds!

  • @MyInspiredCreation thanks :)

  • my pit has been sitting in water for a couple months now. no roots, no stem. I change the water regularly, i keep it warm but not hot. It hasn't gotten moldy, nor dried out. What am I doing wrong? Or am I just being impatient? I've heard from some people that avocados sprout roots after two weeks? So what the hell?!?

  • @Natedawg422 That is very frustrating. Mine had either the root or the stem to keep my hopes up but you don't see either of them after couple months? However, if it is not moldy or dried out, you could keep the avocado half emerged in the water to see how things go but I recommend getting another seed and start fresh to see if that one grows a root or stem. Good luck :)

  • @totomari1 I've done exactly that. I got a new seed and started over, this time it has started splitting and I can see really tiny root development inside the crack but it doesn't appear to be growing any further. XO This is bull crap!

  • @Natedawg422 That is indeed annoying, and I know because i have had similar experiences with egg cups. I would recommend that you persevere. I have managed to get one seed to grow. I can't remember what I did with the particular seed, but it just came across it when it had started to sprout from the middle. ( i had it buried waist high in some compost, but i'm sure I had in in some water for a few weeks prior to this) Also, carefully peeling the bottom of the skin helps.

  • Just plant it, it will grow. Mine had less root system than yours when I planted it and it grew stem, leaves and is doing well.

  • you should put them in soil....

  • @oizzabutiken i already did. Check out my Growing Avocado from Seed part 2 :)

  • the music is so fitting

  • @mardal3 Thanks :)

  • Very moving.

  • @jacobvanvonderen Thanks :)

  • Thanks for info!

  • what do you have stuck inside the seed to help it sit like that?

  • @brandybecky26 those are toothpicks broken into halves. you stick the sharp end to the avocado and place about 3 or 4 on each avocado :)

  • Question to you. Did you purposely cut them half way open or is this just the growing process?

  • @AngelikavonDeutschla actually it's a growing process. They actually just split open after about couple weeks.

  • I was having a hard time growing a seed from my mom's friends avocado tree. I

decided to just split it open with a knife so now it only has one half of the seed.

I was lucky that I didn't destroy it. The roots are pretty big and it is like 2 inches and it has two small leafs. I also have been placing the jar under my regular lamp at night and that is what has been helping it grow because there hasn't been much direct sun.

  • @modernricky thanks for the info :)

  • Beautiful little cado plant =)

  • @4GreenEarth2 Thank you :)
