Adm. Nakhimov was a give way vessel in that terrible tragedy and should not place that much reliance upon the negotiations over the VHF. Clearly she should slow down or alter her course to starboard and not take any chances.

I took part in the memory trip to the place where Nakhimov sank. It was shown in this film. Gratefulness to te authors of the film! We must not forget this tragedy and its victims! I worked on Nakhimov in 1982-1985 and this disaster hurt my heart very deep. Comparison with Titanic is not correct in many aspects but both ships became symbols. We remember Titanic after 100 years and Nakhimov after quarter of century...
