hmmm...Ive heard that a lot of the songs they recently published had been there for a long time, there is a Paranoid Android live video from The Bends era too, Airbag for example was written originally when they where still called On A Friday (before getting signed)
but it just struck me as wierd cause i dont know if the Digitech Wh1 Whammy was available that long ago cause they use that device in that song specifically but i could be wrong it just may be a prototype?

the Whammy WH1 was first made available in 1991, Rage Against The Machine used it on their first album released 1992 (think 'Killing In The Name Of' solo). Jonny bought one late 93 and used it live for My Iron Lung's live debut Jan 1994. thus ends the history lesson :p

"this is a new song" says Thom. it's true that Maquiladora & Stop Whispering were old On A Friday songs, but Airbag was written and first performed in 1995.
on My Iron Lung: "it was one of those songs that I wrote the verse and I thought oh, that's great and it was really beautiful, so we just had to screw it up really, by putting the other bit in." see, Radiohead have ALWAYS been like this. they didn't change since The Bends or the guitar crunch in "Creep". They have always been beautiful about fucking up melody with noise!
I love how Ed and Colin keep exchanging "uhhhmmm" looks while Thom is talking and using Ed as a microphone stand... and Thom's mannerisms and fidgeting and inability to stay still. oh and the part where Ed ruffles Thom's hair. xD where did you get this interview footage? did you tape it back in 95?
