it's a fascinating reflex, but unfortunately i have heard that it's the baby holding his/her breath so not really something that should be done 2 much. my little brother used to react out of suprise when i did it 2 him lol, but he never stopped crying til i gave him a hug :)
Your actually stopping your baby from breathing thats why she stops crying!! and also why she cries even more when she catches her breath coz she dont like it! Its cruel!!
when you blow in her face... you are actually taking air away her. Making it harder for her to breathe that is why she stops crying for a split second... and starts crying again shortly after.
that's true. happycoook12 is exactly right. you're making it so she for a second can't breathe to cry. you would do the same thing if you put a strong fan in front of an adult. they can't catch their breath. i know you're not meaning to hurt her. it is obvious you love her dearlly. you are just frustrating her. i'm sure she doesn't find it cute.
Hey Favorite Mama from down Unda! I am holding her on her feet. She loves to stand!! It's so funny that Lacey does the same thing. I am guessing that all babies react that way, but having never seen it before I thought it was hilarious! Glad it got you laughing!
