I spent a year and a half in Alaska a good 200 miles north and way closer to the artic circle. I don't see how this could be midnight when the sun would set a 11pm and rise at 1am there. It may never get fully dark at night but Anchorage would get fully dark at night if only for an hour. I think your off on the times.
@bbaker904 , I didn't say it was midnight. I said it was close to midnight. Maybe within an hour or two either side. It was a very long flight. And the weather was dynamic. It rained, hailed, and then snowed all in a matter of minutes, going from hot outside, to cold, then back again. All in a matter of minutes. The best vacation I have ever had.
@smartdon007 This was roughly between maybe 9pm-12 am Alaska time. I don't remember the exact time, but I do know if I were back home, it would have been dark, not light outside.
weird...yet beautiful view though.

From what I seen of this video it doesn't look like the pilots were having a hard time controlling the aircraft.

@flightmarch11 Thanks. It was a wonderful flight, but OH so long. =) Recommend on long flights to get FIRST class. Not coach.

where did you fly from?
moviewatcheralaska 1 year ago
@moviewatcheralaska We went from Texas to Anchorage.
ibanez0711 1 year ago
@ibanez0711 So if you flew nonstop from Texas, then this would be Continental Airlines? I do know Continental has a hub in Houston, TX.
