I've noticed it depends a lot on the source from which the music is coming as to how well the speakers sound. What I mean is, just like with headphones, an Ipod sounds better than any of my kid's mp3 players. It seems the Ipods put out the best sound even when it comes to bass. Not sure why, but they do. I like the mounting to the windshield bolts idea. It beats buying the 32 dollar brackets.
lol @horn, sombody must have been excited to show off their shark system! =P sweet speakers! im about to order a shark system for my fz1 - i tried to rig up my own system by taking apart a set of powered desktop speakers since they run on 12 volt DC i thought i would give it a shot, well it works but does not have the amps to push volume of speakers over the sound of my bike at 4k rpm - any speed over 30mph i can hardly hear them =/ so i guess i will just have to invest in a system from shark =D
@sfpdtrainer They sound pretty good on the road. They don't deliver a lot of lows/mids but the highs come through over the road noise. It's not a high fidelity experience but it's audible.
