LOL! the mortal kombat theme haha that was so random :p what a sweeeeeet truck! i saw a truck like this from both my trips to O'side lol wish i got to film it :/ sounds like a CAT engine if u ask me howd u get all these stops were they all close range or...? that stop at 5:10 was amazing 5:44 thats what im talking about!!!!! haha lol the beat up tailgate looks like a BP one after a week ;) now that u got the stops...get it unloading!!!

There are a couple of things odd looking about this truck. I agree the arms are a little different, and it's because they don't have the usual Amrep kinks in them, they are straight just like the Bowles trucks that I've captured over the years. I'm by no means an expert on identifying diesel motors by sound, but I keep thinking the way that thing sounds, it's not a Cummins, but what is it? The exhaust is plummed a little wierd too, and I'm sure that is contributing a lot to that meaty sound. A++
@shadofax96 Yes I wonder if the arms were a 'transplant' from a different truck..? It should have one additional segment in the front, but you'll notice the hopper entrance was also modified, so I wonder if the hopper change came first and in order to accommodate, EDCO messed with the arms.
@Trashman242 That Pete 310 is definately powered by a Cummins L10!!!! Most Cummins Diesel engines hav this reving grunt sound!! That's definately not a Cat either!!!
holy crap. i could download an mp3 of this truck's roar haha i love how it kept spitting black smoke... no one likes a stupid low emssion truck an i the only one who thinks those forks have an odd shape to them? The shot of the trash falling at 2:18 was pretty epic! the tailgate looks like its seen better days. Just awesome job Scott
@rws676 hahahaha mp3.....I wouldn't say the forks do, but the arms definitely have been changed. They should have one more angle than they do, but these were probably welded over again by EDCO just because they're that cool lol. Or brought from some other type of FL. Such a nice looking truck and that sound (particularly like the sound when backing up kinda fast) its just an insane combination! I need to film this truck :D lmfao at the tags of this video too. Cant believe I saw this in person but didn't see it operating :( I also like how the tailgate has slowly changed into a bubble haha fantastic video
@3amrepmike3 I personally liked the sound for the whole cycle at 4:02 a little better, with that total badass fan going in the background. So...Incredibly...Loud :D I found myself just all out grinning one time when I was watching that part lol

Cal Disposal has one of these and a heil7000 310I want to film burrtec fontana has a 310 roll off and sts burrtec riverside has pete 310 amrep asls and i will film them again awesome video and thanks a ton for getting this i really enjoyed it and its cool we have the same favorite combo

And I got extreeeeemmmeeellllyyyy lucky one day when I went all the way over to San Marcos just to find it/one like it (because they do have a few of these with Maxons too), and all of a sudden I turn to see the Pete 310 cab down one street and am like "SHIT!!"
I have even more to post, but it's mostly from the two times I filmed him unloading. I've actually seen this truck unloading three diff times it's funny haha

Missing ribs! Look at the mud flaps! The older logo! They must have put the new logo on the side recently. This truck must have the best sounding manual packing ever! Along with the dump cycle! I didn't even know a pete could sound like this! 1980 (or around there) cummins right? 4:28, THAT IS AWESOME!! Look at the smoke! How is it possible! Jeeze! The body almost reminds me of a Maxon because of how from far away it looks more round! It is amazing how he revvs all the way through the cycle! YES
@CurottoCanMaster82 Yeah it could even be late 80s, these trucks were cool even up through the 90s. And yes Petes do get this good, they just aren't today so most people are mislead.

I turned off Pink Floyd to listen to this video. It was tough, but I made the right decision. When they decide to retire this truck I want to buy it and restore it. This is probably the best old FL I have ever seen!!! Nice work!
