  • New sound clips for NKA and Masquerade of shadows at shadowveilrecordscom

  • whoa-ho-ho-ho nice

  • this is classic guitar by the way

  • Speaking to the Seasons of Fire -

That is still in the works. Lots of songs have been written and recorded. NKA wanted to try something different. He has also been working on producing Masquerade of Shadows. They have about 8 records worth of concept albums written. Recording has been going well. They are hoping for a Halloween release for some of the albums.

    Thanks,

    Shadow Veil Records

  • Another poor Yngwie wannabe.

    Thumbs DOWN.

  • Ungwie Wannabe? Are youkidding me..oh wait I know, your prolly just a bald wanker and jelouse that you don't have awesome sexy locks like Norman K!!!

  • Sexy locks... you must be heavily gay dude, but seriously.

  • So anyone who shreds now is an Yngwie clone? Dude, he's been playing since '85, around the time when Rising Force was just getting started. Besides, his technique isn't even similar to Yngwie's (no sweep arpeggio wankery to be found!). And if you call his playing poor...well, then there's just no hope for you.

  • I call him poor because he COPIES what Yngwie does, I'm not bashing his technical skills.

Watch his other videos: he is VERY neoclassical oriented, thus another Yngwie clone.

If he achieved that through fingerpicking or 8 finger tapping, I couldn't care less, it's the sounds.

Finally, not everyone who shreds is a Malmsteen clone: Howe, Petrucci, Gambale, Lane, Garsed all do different stuff. Thanks god.

  • By the time he finally got around to releasing an album, Yngwie was already established as the neoclassical master, so if you look at it in terms of albums, you could be mistaken for thinking he's another Yngwie clone. But truth is, Norman already developed the style you see here BY HIMSELF right around the time Marching Out was released. Whether or not he sounds like Yngwie is pure coincidence.

Besides, can't you just enjoy it?

I'm starting to think you are jealous of his locks...

  • Yea probably becuse I'm gay like the guy above.

Please don't make me laugh. Malmsteen played that type of stuff in 1982 (and even before) when he joined Steeler and later Alcatrazz, to say that this Norman has nothing to do and to share and/or was never inspired by Yngwie is utter bullshit...

This is what pisses Yngwie off: every other guy playing exactly what he does and giving him zero credit whatsoever for that. Give credit to the master please.

  • Yngwie J. Malmsteen = pioneer, Norman K. Anderson = follower.

  • Just to set the record straight: Norman K. Anderson STARTED to play guitar in 1985, not developed his skills-or-something and what not (I googled him around).

Furthermore: his workhorse guitar consists of a YNGWIE MALMSTEEN Classical Stratocaster.

A pure coincidence, I might add...

  • Hello, I would like to set the record straight. NKA has been playing guitar since 1980. Yngwie is why he picked up a guitar. If you look in all three soon to be four NKA records you will see that he fully credits Yngwie for inspiration. If you think he's a clone from 4 short video clips so be it. I think he would take it as a compliment. Also This video is from 1999. NKA would just hope people could enjoy music. (Clones and all)Hopefully you will appreciate the new stuff.

  • Yes, sorry, I think he has chops but is a CLONE, nonetheless.

Joe Stump, Chris Impellitteri, Timo Tolkki, Cyrus Saint Leviticus, Norifumi Shima, Katsu Ohta and many others are clones to some sort of degree. Norman is no exception.

  • Thank you for watching the videos. The new record has Yngwie-isms of course but does stretch out into new territory as well. It has been several years.

    Sincerely,

    Shadow Veil Records

  • All righty, I wish you the best of luck, good business.

How many copies does such an underground album sell, just to have a rough idea (if you want to answer, if not it's OK). Regards.

  • Typically we sell about 1,000-2,000 copies every few years per album. Hoping to step that up in the future.

Unfortunately/fortunately we all have day jobs.

    Thanks,

    Shadow Veil Records

  • Master of Illusion is out now

    guitar9 . com

    Shadow Veil Records

  • AAAAARGH! Bloody 2-Handed Chainaxe Blow!

Whatever... Well anyway, so he's infuenced by him, but I still say he's definitely not a clone. Who said Yngwie invented neoclassical shred anyway? Besides, his output is 5% quality and 95% ego. Besides Marching Out and Fire & Ice, there's not much worht listening to. NKS however, writes actual RIFFS between the solos. I still think he's better. Why don't you get one of his albums and decide for yourself?

  • I forgot to mention that I am a Rep for Shadow Veil Records. We have a new NKA release titled Master of Illusion coming out in a few weeks. It is all instrumental. We also have a new band releasing 3 records this year and at least 3 next year. Masquerade of Shadows. They should have website and myspace soon.

    Thank you very much,

    Shadow Veil Records.

PS. check out Cyrus Saint Leviticus also on youtube

  • Hi! Finally... I've been waiting ever since the release of Awakened!! Such a spectacular album; I thought he was working on Seasons Of Fire? But after 7 years... I thought Shadow Veil was dead by now or something! Great to see he's still recording. I always found NKA to be best at instrumentals, but I think he also has a great voice. Pity that there's not at least one vocal performance. Maybe next time! I'll be sure to check out all the upcoming Shadow Veil releases; thanks!!!

  • very good man wow!

  • awesome man :) good work!

  • nice!
