He had empathy. So many politicians don't. There was a good line in the New York Times, something along the lines of: If Bill Clinton sees you across the street, he'll cross to you and be happy to pump your hand and talk to you. If Obama sees you, he'll smile and wave, but he'll expect you to cross to him.
Gawd, if he could only have run for a 3rd term the peace and prosperity would've continued, but we got DUBYA and he nearly destroyed everything: the economy, the environment, our world status, etc.
To all of the right-wingers out there who still like to bash Clinton after all these years, you might as well just stop, seeing as how the economy under him was much better than when Bush Jr. was president. If lying about his sex life was the worst thing he did, then he was a great president compared to most others. There's a reason that polls show him to be the most popular post-WW2 president since JFK. (Yes, more popular than Reagan.)
@AnthonyJPiccione All Clinton will ever be remembered for is being impeached. A hundred years from now when they get to Bill Clinton in history class some little kid will learn he was the second president impeached then they'll move on. Sorry no one remembers who had a good economy.
I'd really like to think that Bill Clinton would consider taking on a leadership role in government again, although I know he says he can do more of what he wants to do outside of government.
this reminds me of how effed up things were when Clinton came into office. They passed the Deficit Reduction Act of 1993 without a single GOP vote. That was what set the wheels in motion for us to prosper. The GW took the reigns and with the same failed policies as Reagan and his Daddy put us into an even bigger mess than Clinton inherited
If only Politics in the USA was to remain as moderate and classy today as it was then, now with the Tea party going hard the spectrum has moved to the right. very sad
How can Bush inherit the politics to his son and how can Clinton inherit the politics to his wife. This is no democracy. They can only build war not peace. The US-american people have to wake up and take to the streets and demonstrate against their politicians. No war!
Clinton blows the doors off of Obama. If the Democratic party embraced Clinton goals (not all of them, however..) and tried to be more like him, our country would be so much better off. Obama and Bush are neo-cons, although I like W. Bush considerably more than Obama. Clinton minus the Lewinsky scandal is the ideal modern Democrat, just like Reagan is the ideal modern Republican.
@PIAF22 "although I like W. Bush considerably more than Obama." LOL WUT?! Please. You almost got me until you went there. Both are neocons but Obama has made the White House, the physical white house more transparent with their easier access to public files. Bush signed all of the neocon bills PATRIOT, No Child Left Behind, etc, Obama just didn't put a stop to them.
@Hermey7777 It's because the more power that liberals get, the angrier and more extreme they get. Bill Maher states that Obama is not even a liberal. Angry liberals will never have someone far enough to the left!
@sportstuber11 What is neo-con about leading from down-playing America's role in the world? Liberals classically are more diplomacy-over-force than conservatives. Also, even if Libya was a good example, you can't hold that up against every other policy he has ever put out there. health care alone is enough to demonstrate where his ideology is.
now im 35 years old and i have never, never seen a politician like this man in my lifetime. Not Obama (who i stayed up late a cried for) not Blair, none of them can tough this man. And like all politicians i bought him hook line a sinker THEN found out what he really was.
I mean this guys got it. If he became leader of the Nazi Party you'd probably half think about it.
Obama has charisma, but of a different kind. This guy has that folksy charm that America love so much, sex appeal and brains.
Yupp, he can connect like no other. I like you was heartened to see Obama win, but knew that he really is a lightweight that can come across eloquent, but really cannot connect with the people .
The first instance they cite was Sudans offer to extradite bin Laden in 1996. The Clinton administration turned them down, saying there wasnt enough evidence to convict him in an American court. Originally this was denied by administration officials, but according to the Times, senior sources from within the administration now confirm it was true.
Of course, he said nothing about central banking and fiat money- the root cause of the failure of our economic system and the decreasing value of he dollar. That's no surprise, though, since no establishment politician of the Right or the Left will discuss either of those issues...
HAH..i guess you forgot all those scandals we all went through and his incompetance of not taking Bin Laden when Brazil had him under arrest and offered him to us since he was a wanted terrorist and of course never mind that this good president of yours was IMPEACHED
@3dartistguy Bush didn't give a shit about OBL either. The impeachment thing was a complete joke and only highlighted how partisan the Retardlicans had become. Ken Starr was anything but an "independent" prosecutor who couldn't get Clinton on Whitewater so he went after his private sex life (all taxpayers' expense!). The impeachment vote was conducted by a lame-duck Republican House in Dec. 1998, and their charges didn't even get a simple majority in the Senate, much less two-thirds.
Ken Star went after Clinton's sex life because CLINTON Lied about not having sexual relations with that ugly big nosed fritzy haired woman in a court of law....thats why Clinton was impeached, and it wasn't a joke. Hillary's business partner in that law firm went to JAIL and that other guy committed suicide in the White House...supposedly. Of course, you'ed say that Ken Star wasn't an independent prosescutor. Nixon said the same thing about Archibald Cox during the Watergate scandals of the 70s.
@3dartistguy And what business was it of Ken Starr's to ask Clinton about his private sex life? Talk about a waste of taxpayer money. Ken Starr was a well-known right-wing partisan who was appointed not by the by a panel of conservative judges who removed the original special prosecutor, Robert Fiske (who also was a Republican, but not a partisan fanatic). Starr was hoping to bring down Pres. Clinton so a future Republican president would appoint him to the SCOTUS. Didn't work!
Because Clinton LIED in open court UNDER OATH about not having Sex with that Big Nosed, Fritzy haired girl, and PERJURY is a CRIME and he was a sitting President at the time. Obviously, you're such a LIBERAL you don't care if a sitting president committs PERJURY under OATH in a Court of Law... CLinton LOST his lawyer's license as a result. Nixon claimed that Archibald Cox was was a Left Wing Liberal from the Kennedy school of government during Watergate! Read Your History.
@3dartistguy Open court? Since when is a grand jury room the same as "open court"? Starr asked Clinton about his affair with Monica in front of a grand jury which is done in PRIVATE. You can't even have your lawyer present in the room with you when testifying before a grand jury. YOU need to ready YOUR history if you believe that Ken Starr was anything less than a right-wing partisan hack. Starr had absolutely NO business prying into the president's sex life.
@GeorgiaKev Clinton voluntarily gave up his law license for four years. Big deal.....like he even needed it anyway, the guy makes about $100,000 for every public speaking engagement he makes. And yes, I am a liberal, thank you. You're such a CONSERVATIVE that you actually believe that Ken Starr was an objective, non-partisan and professional prosecutor.
The basic fact that CLinton committed PERJURY, LYING UNDER OATH in court doesn't seem to bother you in anyway? The fact that Clinton got impeached by the Congress and got away with it doesn't seem to bother you just becusase you're a liberal? You're not exactly holding the liberal standard up very high. The fact that Clinton got away with it because of all his money, power which the rest of us don't have doesn't bother you, huuh? Lying, Cheating, perjury, adultery doesn't mean that much to you?
@3dartistguy Money and power didn't have anything to do with it. Yes, maybe Clinton used some of his influence to get his acquittal, but he got off primarily because the charges were bullshit. The guy shouldn't be stripped of his presidency because he had an affair, most of the hypocrites in the Republican party have affairs, Newt Gingrich was having an affair with his intern at the exact same time he was trying to take down Clinton for doing the same.
No one was saying that he should removed for having an affair, but for committing PERJURY in a court. Again, Clinton had no regad for his oath of office, or for telling the truth. He committed perjury in the Paula Jones case because he refused to settle it out of court, and then he was righteously impeached for PERJURY, not for adultery.Clinton had no regard for his oath of office or for telling the truth. Members of Congres have been removed for engaging in adultery however.
@3dartistguy Have you ever told a "sex lie" in your life? He was put under oath to be asked if he had cheated on his wife? Why not do that with every member of Congress for that matter? I'm more bothered by the perjury Ronald Reagan committed at John Poindexter's trial by saying he "didn't remember" anything about the Iran-Contra scandal. Selling arms to the Ayatollah is a hell of a lot more serious than consensually touching a female intern's butt.
No, i don't. If I ws ever in a court of law and swore on the Bible to tell the truth, I would! Clinton did not because his oath never meant anything to him. Telling the truth never meant anything to him. He was impeached NOT for adultery, but for PERJURY, not for adultery, but for PERJURY. Ill say it again, not for adultery, but for PERJURY. Im sorry if you're so in love with Liberal ideology to see that Clinton was and is essentially a pig.
@3dartistguy And I will say this again. Bill Clinton should never have been asked under oath by a prosecutor if he had an extramarital affair. A prosecutor's job is to investigate criminal activity. Adultery is NOT a criminal offense. It was blatant abuse by Starr of his position as "independent" counsel and showed he was on a witchhunt. Did Reagan's perjury bother you? How about Judge Thomas when he said he never had discussed Roe v. Wade with anyone? Nope--you're a rightie.
Clinton was not put on the witness stand for having an extramarrital affair. Paul Jones filed a sexual harrassment lawsuit against CLinton whcih you can be brought to court for, and he refused to settle out of court which he could have. He committed perjury in that court, whcih which is why he was impeached whcih is why he was under investigation by Ken Starr. President Reagan was never accused of perjury in court. you're too much a leftie liberal to see that. Perjury is a crime in itself.
The reason why is because Clinton committed perjury and lied about not having an affair with that other female....thats when it became Ken Star's business. And again, Archibald Cox was also accused of being a left winger by the Nixon Adminstration during Watergate. If only Clinton hadn't lied before the American people and comitted perjury...but again, that doesn't seem to matter to you very much huh? You're not holding the liberal standard very high. I find that very , very sad.
@GeorgiaKev Bill Clinton cared more about getting Bin Laden than Bush did. Bush let him live so he could be used as a form of fear mongering, distract the people from the problems at home with the threat of terorist attacks. At least Bill Clinton actually tried to do something.
@MrLunitunz Well, to be fair, I'm not happy about Clinton's half-hearted efforts to catch bin Laden. I know he tried to kill him once back in '98 after the bombings of the African embassies, but after that he really didn't try much. I do think Clinton was a good president overall, particularly with domestic affairs, however, his foreign policy was only fair at best.
@GeorgiaKev Watch Bill Clinton's interview on Fox News, in his mind at least he did tons to catch Bin Laden, but the Republicans and various others prevented him from going the distance. Bush on the other hand had plenty of opportunities and never did anything except start pointless, unrelated, wars.
As for foreign policy, being a child of the nineties I'd say there wasn't much he needed to do. The Cold War was over and the War on 'Terror' hadn't begun, so it was relatively peaceful.
Clinton has the opprotunity in 1997 to capture Bin Laden when Brazil had him under arrest and offered him to us since he was a wanted international criminal and our government told them to just let him go...a wanted terrorist. Had we taken Bin Laden into custodity back then, it could have prevented 9/11.
@3dartistguy There's no evidence that Bin Laden was even in Brazil in 1997, except from you, and you've proven to be soo trustworthy. Bin Laden wasn't even on the FBI's top ten in 1997. He wouldn't be until he bombed the embassies in 98. Whereas Bush has done everything you described, in 2005 he even scaled back the CIA task force designed to capture Bin Laden, saying "I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority."
Dude, look it up. Bin Laden was a wanted terrorist in the world. They had him under arrest and they offered him to us in 1997. If CLinton hadn't been too busy getting head in the oval office he might have done his job and put the AMerican peoiple first by accepting their offer.and taking Bin Laden into custodity and again maybe preventing 9/11. There was a muslim by the name of Mousad who tried to warn our government, but he was slain. Again, look it up youirself. Do the research.
It was the LAtimes dude. "The offer, which would have brought Bin Laden to the Arab country as the first step of an extradition process that would eventually deliver him to the U.S., required only that Clinton make a state visit there to personally request Bin Laden's extradition. .Clinton's failure to grasp the opportunity represents one of the most serious foreign policy failures in American history."
@3dartistguy The article you cited doesn't mention half the stuff you raised. Doesn't mention Brazil, doesn't mention Bin Laden being under arrest, doesn't mention 'Mousad'. As for the stuff it does mention, the article blames the Clinton ADMINSTRATION and Senior Clinton officials (i.e not Clinton personally) for these mis-fires, and is consistent with the account Clinton gave of himself in that Fox News interview. Paul Bremer and Richard Clarke both said that Clinton did care, more than Bush.
Dude, you are so deluded-here's what I found on the internet-"Bill Clinton ignored repeated opportunities to capture Osama bin Laden and his terrorist allies and is responsible for the spread of terrorism, one of the ex-president’s own top aides charges. Mansoor Ijaz, who negotiated with Sudan on behalf of Clinton from 1996 to 1998, paints a portrait of a White House plagued by incompetence, focused on appearances rather than action, and heedless of profound threats to national security."
@3dartistguy You're deluded. I already discussed what was said in the article you mention. Yes, Clinton made mistakes. But the fact is he tried harder to get Bin Laden than Bush ever did, and Bush had the nine months before 9/11 and the many years before his Presidency was up after 9/11, time he instead spent waging pontless wars trying to finish what daddy started. Bin Laden was a much bigger deal during Bush's presidency than he was during Clinton's, so that says something.
The War wouldn't have started at all if Clinton hadn't been asleep at the switch! A U.S. intelligence official, speaking on condition of anonymity, this week called the Clinton administration's decision to pass up a chance to arrest Osama bin Laden in 1996 a "disgrace," saying "somebody didn't want this to happen." Who was the somebody? WHY CLINTON OF COURSE! "Under Clinton, at least three opportunities to have Bin Laden handed over to the U.S. were rejected inexplicably."-source, the NY TIMES!
Under Clinton, at least three opportunities to have Bin Laden handed over to the U.S. were rejected inexplicably. According to the Sunday Times of London, Clinton himself said his refusal to accept the offer to hand over Bin Laden was the "Biggest Mistake" of his presidency. According to anonymous sources in the CIA, Clinton did not want Bin Laden arrested.THAT SHOULD PROVE TO YOU ONCE AND FOR ALL THAT WE WOULDN';T HAVE BEEN AT WAR AT ALL IF IT HADN'T BEEN FOR MR CLINTON, NOT BUSH!
Clinton made mistakes. He admitted as much. He said none of them had been perfect. Bin Laden was not as big a deal in 96 as he was in 98 or in 2001. Saying Clinton didn't want Bin Laden arrested could mean anything, i.e that he wanted him dead instead. Fact is Bin Laden was a bigger deal in the Bush era and Bush didn't do anything about him, even saying he didn't care.
Bottom line, the man's dead now. Isn't that all that matters?
have you NOT read any of the postings I have put forth? Why do you continue to insist on blaming Bush when the real fault lies with Clinton? Yes, Bin Laden was a big deal back in the 1990s and Clinton personally let him get away to terrorrize the world more. Bush on the otherhand, took dramatic bold action and went to WAR against the terrorists and giving freedom to the people's of Iraq and Afghanistan and for that, Bush got called a War criminal which is not., but a freedom fighter.
@3dartistguy If you honestly believe that, you're a bigger idiot than you've previously let on. Bush declared war to further his own interest, to finish what daddy started. The wars he started in Iraq and Afghanistan did absolutely nothing to curb terrorism, as exemplified by the fact that A) Al Qaeda still exists B) Bin Laden wasn't even IN either of those countries. Iraq had nothing to do with terrorism and Afghanistan is a mess, an unwinable one at that.
nO, , you're the idiot. You refuse to pin the blame on the whole war on Clinton's failiure to get Bin Laden which he had several opprotunitities to get him and blew it whcih caused 9/11 to happen. By going to war, we pushed out Bin Laden out of Afghanistan. Have you ever been there? I have. It not nearly a mess as it was under when Bin Laden controlled it. Bush freed Iraq from a brutal dictator not in revenge for his daddy. You're an armchair liberal who knows nothing. I was over there, not you
@3dartistguy If you honestly believe that Bin Laden was Bill Clinton's fault, you're an idiot, and a bad historian. Bin Laden's uprise can be blamed on a number of people: Bush, who had nine months to do something about him and didn't, Clinton, as we've mentioned, Reagan, The Reagan Doctrine basically allowed for Al Qaeda to exist, The Soviets, and Bin Laden's parents, who gave birth to the fuck. You're just blindly ignorant Reuplican who just wants to do a Conservative hit-job on Clinton.
nO, i BLAME CLINTON FOR FAILING TO GET BIN LADEN WHEN HE HAD THE CHANCE AT LEAST THREE TIMES. IF CLINTON HAD DID HIS JOB INSTEAD OF GETTING HEAD IN THE OVAL OFFICE, 3,000 PEOPLE'S LIVES MAY HAVE BEEN SPARED, ASSHOLE. I VOTED FOR CLINTON IN '96, ASSHOLE. YES, THE TRAGEDY OF 9/11 WAS CLINTON'S FAULT BECAUSE HE COULD HAVE GOTTEN BIN LADEN AT LEAST 3 TIMES AND FAILED TO DO SO. YOU'RE A BLINDLY IGNONANT SPENDOCRAT WHO WANTS TO DEFLECT RESPONSIBLY OFF OF MR CLINTON'S LEGACY. 9/11 WAS CLINTON'S FAULT!
@3dartistguy If you voted for Clinton, why are you trying to character assasinate him? You're acting like a child.
The fact is, 9/11 was ultimately no one's fault but Bin Laden's. Bill Clinton didn't get him. George Bush Jr didn't get him. But none of that matters anymore, the bastard's dead now, and he was killed before he could kill anyone else. There's no use pointing fingers because no one was perfect, and Bush dropped the ball just as much as Clinton.
Dude, I didn't say I was proud to have voted for him in 1996. If I could take it back now, I WOULD. cLINTON WAS JUST A HYPOCRITE. Anyone looking at this objectively would see that CLinton dropped the ball three times in his failure to get Bin Laden. At least Bush was trying to get Bin Laden CLinton deserves the blame of what happened on 9/11. Ignorant people like you call Bush a war criminal for going to war, he was not. The real criminal is the jerk who failed to get Bin Laden THREE times!
@3dartistguy Clinton wasn't a hypocrite. The hypocrites are the far-right Republican politicians who tried to impeach him for having an affair when they were doing the same thing.
If Clinton failed, it's because he was trying to be diplomatic. Bush didn't have to be and yet he never got him. Bush just didn't care. Didn't care about freedom in the West or in the Middle East, he cared about his own agenda. But you refuse to see that. Instead you drag this argument around in circles.
CLinton wasn't a hypocrite???? How about accepting bribe money from the ex-wife of billionaire Marc Rich for a pardon because he was wanted by the IRS for failing to pay his fair share in Taxes? But again, you're making excuses for CLinton FAILING three seperate times to get Bin Laden when he had the chance and this man was a wanted terrorist. Clinton wasn't concerned about diplomacy. Bush gave freedom to Iraq and Afghanistan and history will judge him kindly for that just like FDR and W.Wilson.
@3dartistguy No they won't. If you lived in the world you'd see most people think that Iraq was a pointless needless war, even a decent chunk of the Republicans.
Let's try a different tack, shall we? How about I hound you until your ears bleed about every single mistake you've ever made in your life. Would you like that?
Clinton wasn't perfect, no one is. If you want to troll Clinton because he got praise here, be my guest. Our discussion proves you don't do so for intelligent reasons.
Dude, Im not doing that. If you were related to one of the victims in the World Trade Center and you found out that the whole tragedy could have been averted if a former president had just done his job instead of getting head in the oval office, you'ed be pissed. If you volunteered for military service was stationed over in Iraq, you'ed have a different perspective. Bush made a difference around the world. Bush was responsible for getting rid of two brutal dictators. Clinton did squat.
Furthermore Dude, Clinton and your cronie crowd are always touting how great he was, and when we look closer, we realize that he wasn't a great president, and how he fell asleep at the switch constantly and neglently allowed people to be killed needlessly because of his great ineptitude,Hillary Clinton won't ever be elected because her husband could never be considered "first gentleman" since you actually have to be one and not a pig that screws anyting in sight. Your hero has feet of clay.
@3dartistguy You're not actually making any claims about his administration anymore, just childishly exclaiming "OOOHH he had an affair" as if that had anything to do with his administration. Iraq and Afghanistan are not free nations and won't be for a very long time. Perhaps sexual references are all you understand. Pounding away at a hopeless situation isn't in the best interest of America... sometimes the best thing you can do is pull out.
I don't have problems with the fact that he cheated on wife, but tht he committed PERJURy and got away with it. We pulled out of Afghanistan prematurely in the early 1980s and that country became a bigger mess because the Taliban moved in. I surely hope that now we've pulled out of Iraq the same thing won't happen again there and we'll have to go back in there. But anyway, CLinton screwed things up by failing to get Bin LAden three times when he could have and needless deaths happened.
My heroes are flawed too, but they're not incompetant bunglers that present themselves as being super perfect in their own minds and yours. I hope you remember when you accuse Bush of being a "war criminal" or a "murderer" that Clinton had three opprotunitiies to get a wanted international terrorist that later was allowed to kill others that died needlessly if Clinton had did his job as president competantly.
You mean when he wanted to go after him in Afghanistan and the Republicans accused him of trying to change the issue from Monica Lewinsky?
At least he tried and took steps to get him.
The Bush administration sat on several documented pieces of intel that warned of an attack by Al-Qaeda from sleeper cells in the United States - specifically using airliners. Then, after 9-11, Bush completely failed to get OBL, and even abandoned the search in favor of attacking Iraq.
@3dartistguy If you hate president Clinton so much, why are you watching Clinton videos on youtube. I can`t stand that senile old bastard ronald reagan btw. I`m sure you agree that it was a damn shame that hinkley missed. God bless you and merry christmas.
Why do you hate a president who created 21 million jobs? I dislike Clinton because of the scandals and embarrassment and humilation he put this country through. Clinton is a crook, but you don't seem to mind that. You don't seem to mind that he was the biggest hyprocrite in the world by denouncing the GOP from "favoring" the wealthy and then accepting a bribe from the ex wife of billionaire Marc Rich who was wanted by the IRS for not paying his "fair share" in taxes for nearly 20 years
@3dartistguy The Lewinsky scandal was a private affair. He cheated on his fucking wife. The GOP wanted destroy Clinton from day one and started a bullshit investigation and wasted millions of tax payers money. Ken Starr didn`t find anything else than the Lewinsky affair which was NOT illegal. Why did he force the president to lie about his sexlife?? Because the whole point was to start a vendetta. Keep in mind that Starr had an agenda. He hated Clinton, and wanted to destroy him.
Thats the same thing Nixon said about his special prosecutor, Archibald Cox and Reagan said the same thing too about his special investigator. Look it up. Clinton perjured himself during the Paula Jones case in court which IS illegal. Of course you don't have any problems of Clinton giving a pardon to a wealthy millionaire wanted by the IRS and hiding out in Switzerland for twenty years in exchange for an undislosed sum of money to Clinton's library..but we won't mention that....
@3dartistguy You cannot compare watergate to lewinsky-gate. presidents has been cheating for years. Clinton was not the first, and he won`t be the last. Kennedy is famous for his cheating and he is still rankes as one of the greatest presidents ever. FDR had a mistress and is ranked as the greatest president ever. Clinton did what other great presidents has done. Clinton was a huge success. He created a surplus, and reduced the deficit. A president can pardon who ever he or she wants to pardon
Yes you can compare Watergate and Contragate to Lewinsky gate-does it matter to you at all that while decrying about Republicans helping the weathy that Clinton not only lied in court committing PERJURY and got away with it and taking bribe money in exchange for a pardon..but none of that matters to you huh? JFK, FDR, etc that was a different time period and I doubt they would get away with it today. If you're own wife can't trust you, than how can you expect the rest of the country???
@3dartistguy Ken Starr should never have been allowed to question the president of the united states of America about his sexlife. Well, 50% of all men are cheating so i guess there`s a lot of lying bastards among us. I don`t care about the pardons at all. Maybe i would have cared if he had pardoned Charlie Manson or something. The GOP impeached Clinton for lying about his sexlife. Nancy Pelosi did not impeach Bush/Cheney for lying about Iraq. I wish the dems were just as nazi as you reps are.
Are you retarded or soemthing? They didn't impeach him for his sex life, such as it is, they impeached him for committing PERJURY in court during the Paula Jones case. Again, they impeached him for committing perjury in court, not his disgusting sex life..and it was CLinton who refused to settle out of court with Paula Jones. Had he settled, he would have never gone to court and committed perjury on the witness stand. Clinton didn't learn anything from Nixon's Watergate experience.
@3dartistguy Retarded?? Go fuck yourself you fucking halfwit. I don't take shit from anybody. I`m a New Yorker. We talk back. What are you? A fucking redneck or something? don`t talk to me again. I wasn`t rude to you before you called me a retard. nobody talks to me like that.
well Im Orginally from LONG ISLAND, NEw YORK AND ITALIAN...and I don't argue with people who obviously can't read and such brainwashed idiots that they keep regurgitating the same thing over and over. Again, CLinton was impeached for PERJURY, not his sex life. do i need to spell it out in the sky for you?
there you go again. Bill Clinton, President of the United States, was impeached by the House of Representatives on charges of perjury and obstruction of justice on December 19, 1998, but acquitted by the Senate on February 12, 1999. Two other impeachment articles, a second perjury charge and a charge of abuse of power, failed in the House. The charges arose from the Lewinsky scandal and the Paula Jones lawsuit-souce wikipedia.
@3dartistguy Ok, perjury because he lied about his sexlife. I would have lied too for christ sake. But why didn't Pelosi impeach Bush/Cheney for lying about the war in Iraq? You`ve gotta give it to the reps. They impeached president Clinton for lying about an affair. That is a declaration of war, and the dems should wake up and start to hit back. Nancy Pelosi was a weak speaker. She should have impeached Bush/Cheney, Tom Delay and the rest of them..
There was nothing to impeach Bush about. Taking out Saddam Hussein wqa s good thing to do globaly. The bastard refused to cooperate with UN weapons inspections. Hussein, Bin Laden, Gaddafi and Kim Jong Ill are long gone. The world is safer without them. CLinton refused to settle out of court with Paula Jones. Sexual harrassment is a very bad thing. Had Clinton settled out of court, he wouldn't have lied in court and impeached for committing perjury as Ive said for the hundredth time.
@3dartistguy Paula Jones??!! She had her own agenda. Nothing illegal happened anyway. i don`t think Bush was honest about weapons of mass destruction, and lying about a war is extremely serious. i think the democrats should declare war on the GOP and totally screw them next time they get a super majority in the congress. Let`s sabotage the next republican president the same way that the GOP has sabotaged president Obama and his agenda. Lets give em some payback. I`m fed up now.
No, using state troopers to bring her to Clinton's hotel room so he can put the moves on her white cheating on his wife ain't illegal....you're very ignorant. it took ten emails for you to finally acknowledge that CLinton was impeached for perjury wnd you don't get it. Obama got his wey every time, the 787 stimulous tht didn't create any jobs, the carefree spending increaing the national debt, downsizing the military, etc Im fed up with the spendocrats trying to socialize our country!
@3dartistguy He commited perjury as a result of being asked about his private life. And he lied about sex with Monica Lewinsky. They impeached for lying about his sex life. I don`t understand how somebody from New York can be a republican. Everybody i know are liberals. This is a liberal state. I`m disappointed in you. You act like a southerner. You cannot expect more from people who sleep with their brothers and sister, but you`re a New Yorker....
WOW you just comfirmed how ignorant you are.Ive been living in Virigina for about ten years ever since I joined the Navy. My eyes opened up about Clinton. Even my aunt and uncle are Ronald Reagan Republicans who live on LI because we believe in working and earning and not being dependent on the federal government for a handout. Again, Clinton lied and committed perjury in court. Perjury is a crime that you or i would never get awy with beause we aren't rich like Clinton who stole.
@3dartistguy I served in the navy, but that`s beside the point. I think the GOP are crazy bastards and i can`t believe that people support them. They`re crazy rabid dogs. Reagan was a horrible president. Iran/contras... They should have impeached the old senile bastard for arming our enemy.
I think the Spendocrats are really socialists in disguise and Obama is just fixiated on punishing people for their success. THe more you make, the more you get taxed. thats not fair.i couldn';t believe someone like Obama could ever be elected in the first place. I got fooled by voting for Clinton once, and never again. Clinton and Obama are nothing like a JFK . they are true hypocrite socailists and we are not a socialist country nor will we ever be!
@3dartistguy President Clinton was criticized for being too conservative. And i like the way you call Obama and Clinton spendocrats when the truth is that nobody spends more than the republicans. Where were you during Reagans 8 years when he increased the deficit?? Where were you when Bush totally ruined our economy and almost took us into a great depression?? President Clinton did very well on the economy. He had a budget surplus and reduced the deficit and created millions of jobs. Go away!
President Reagan created 21 million jobs and you hate him for that. Obama has increased the national debt to 15 trillion dollars in just three years and he's created ZERO JOBS. Clinton continued to advocate Affirmative Action which keeps qualified white boys like me unemployed. I was serving my country in the Navy for the last nine years and I had a full time job until Mr Obama came along and started downsizing our military and the space program, creaing MORE unemployment. YOU GO away!
@3dartistguy The amazing thing about you republicans is that you`re completely brainwashed. How can you whine about president Obama when Bush caused his fucking problems. Bush left the country in a mess, and president obama had to clean up for him. And he did. The economy is growing again, and people are not losing their jobs anymore. The stimulus failed because of the taxcuts. 1/3 of the stimulus was taxcuts, and they didn`t help the economy at all. Taxcuts does not help the economy. It`s a myth
No' you're completely brainwashed. Obama's 787 stimulus hasn't created any job growth whatsoever. Obama has increased the National debt to 15 trillion in just three years. Unemployment has remained sky high average of 9 to 10 percent in the last three years. The economy is NOT growring again. The tax cuts DO not create the defict, overspending by the Obama adminstration has. You're either just brainwashed, uneducated, or ignorant and you got the nerve to condemn southerners.
@3dartistguy I hate southerners... They sleep with their cousins and live in trailers.... We can`t stand those bastards here in New York. We had a moron from Texas in my school, and the guys used to beat the shit out of him everyday. His stupid accent... god i hated him. And if it had been up to the south me and my brothers would have been slaves for the white man. they used to lynch people like me in the 60`s, so yeah. i do have a BIG problem with the south. They killed Martin Luther King too.
So WHAT? you're a fan of Clinton. Guess where's he's from ARKANSAS WHERE THEY DO THAT SORT OF THING, ASSHOLE! CLINTON'S THE MOST MORONIC, IDIOTIC SOUTHERNER EVER ELECTED TO THE PRESIDENCY AND YOU LOVE HMI! YOU'RE A PHONEY SICK LIBERAL SOCIALIST, AND PLENTY IGNORANT TOO!
@3dartistguy haha, i just pissed you off didnt i. Well, you pissed me off so i guess we`re even. Well, it was fun talking to you, but i have to work now. I own my own business, and employ 15 people, and i`m a PROUD liberal!! And i pay my fair share of taxes, and i don`t care. I even pay for benefits to my staff and employees. They get free health care and dental care, and i pay more than the minimum wage! Call me stupid, but i care about people. That`s why i`m a liberal.
@3dartistguy and i`m no fan of Clinton. i think he did well, and he cheated on Hillary, so what? she forgave him. And everybody cheats. And how is Mark Foley doing?? You reps are so full of shit...
@3dartistguy The economy was fantastic under him and you call him a socialist? Do you have lips on your asshole, because it sure seems you're talking out of it.
yeah, sure, if you were a minority and benefited from Affirmative action you could get a job. I just lost out to a job to a less qualified female minority. Reagan created 21 million jobs for everyone, not just minorities. That is what equal opprotunity is about, not just preference for one group, but for everyone. you stupid liberals don't understand that. You're always thinking about making up for the wrongs of the past instead of true equALITY FOR ALL!
@3dartistguy The called me a fucking "nigger" when i went down to Alabama on holiday. People insulted my white girlfriend and called her a "niggerlover" Do you want more reasons for me hating the south????
@3dartistguy i hate Reagan for adding to the deficit, for ignoring aids, for trading guns with our enemy Iran. I also blame him for taking the GOP from the center to the ultra right-wing. The GOP used to be pretty reasonable before Reagan. Ford, Eisenhower, even Nixon were pretty moderate candidates. Reagan created the tea party and their fucked up ideas. i hate him for that yes. too bad John Hinckley didn`t aim better!
@3dartistguy Why do you care? you`re a New Yorker. That`s what you said. But i`m not used to New Yorkers who like George Bush and the GOP. something is wrong with you. And on military spending. The president did the right thing when he cut military spending. He ended the war in Iraq, and he`s ending the war in Afghanistan, and he got Bin Laden which is something your party didn`t do. Bush didn`t even look for him. He said he didn`t care. That`s something we took notice of here in New York....
Under Clinton, at least three opportunities to have Bin Laden handed over to the U.S. were rejected inexplicably. According to the Sunday Times of London, Clinton himself said his refusal to accept the offer to hand over Bin Laden was the "Biggest Mistake" of his presidency. According to anonymous sources in the CIA, Clinton did not want Bin Laden arrested.
CLinton did not care about getting bin Laden. In 1997, Brazil had Bin LAden under arrest in 1997 and they offered him to us since he was a wanted international terrorist and our own government refused to take him into custody, a wanted terrorist..if we had taken Bin Laen into custody, 9/11 would hae NEVER happened.
I've decided that Bill Clinton is my favourite President. Don't get me wrong, I like Obama, I like Kennedy, hell I even like Nixon, but Bill Clinton is my absolute favourite.
Look at Bush in the background. He doesn't know what hit him. Clinton knows how to talk to the average American. "This decision you're about to make better be about what kind of economic theory you want." It was almost like he was giving voters a tough wake-up slap, not pleading for their votes.
@TheJasonDR An ignorant comment about black people from a Republican. Shocka...brainwashed zombies? You telling me George W Bush was a better president than Bill Clinton? You think Romney, Perry, Bachmann, Santorumand Cain are more electable than Barack Obama? 2 words to sum up the Republican Party: SARAH PALIN.
@TheJasonDR Many Democrats have stated they would vote for Ron Paul over Barack Obama, but you Republicans aren't smart enough to choose Paul as your nominee.
@CapitalBhoy78 ..Ron Paul ?...you do understand that Libertarian is as far right as you could go except for anarchist of course...all republicans hate the govt Ron Paul is sorta in a changing time where soon the constitution will be banned and everything will be scary
@TheJasonDR A Democrat would never vote for a Republican? OMG....then explain how Republican presidential candidates have dominated the southern states over the past 30 years even back when registered Democratic voters outnumbered registered Republican voters by about 3 to 1 in nearly all southern states? I guess you never heard of the "Reagan Democrats."
@TheJasonDR Just like the white-trash NASCAR rednecks are the only thing that pumps blood into the republican party? Uneducated, brainwashed morons who automatically swallow whatever dirt comes out of Rush Limbaugh's and Glenn Beck's mouths.
@TheJasonDR No, actually the Democratic Party exists because history has shown time and again that while the free market is a good thing, unbridled, unrestricted, and unrestrained capitalism (i.e.--hyperindividualism) will destroy the fabric of any society.
@GeorgiaKev ...still the same party that supported slavery correct ?...or was it those darn republicans that shed blood and tears to free the slaves ...hmm

PIAF22 1 month ago
@PIAF22 "although I like W. Bush considerably more than Obama." LOL WUT?! Please. You almost got me until you went there. Both are neocons but Obama has made the White House, the physical white house more transparent with their easier access to public files. Bush signed all of the neocon bills PATRIOT, No Child Left Behind, etc, Obama just didn't put a stop to them.

The first instance they cite was Sudans offer to extradite bin Laden in 1996. The Clinton administration turned them down, saying there wasnt enough evidence to convict him in an American court. Originally this was denied by administration officials, but according to the Times, senior sources from within the administration now confirm it was true.

3dartistguy 1 month ago
@3dartistguy Bush didn't give a shit about OBL either. The impeachment thing was a complete joke and only highlighted how partisan the Retardlicans had become. Ken Starr was anything but an "independent" prosecutor who couldn't get Clinton on Whitewater so he went after his private sex life (all taxpayers' expense!). The impeachment vote was conducted by a lame-duck Republican House in Dec. 1998, and their charges didn't even get a simple majority in the Senate, much less two-thirds.
GeorgiaKev 1 month ago
Ken Star went after Clinton's sex life because CLINTON Lied about not having sexual relations with that ugly big nosed fritzy haired woman in a court of law....thats why Clinton was impeached, and it wasn't a joke. Hillary's business partner in that law firm went to JAIL and that other guy committed suicide in the White House...supposedly. Of course, you'ed say that Ken Star wasn't an independent prosescutor. Nixon said the same thing about Archibald Cox during the Watergate scandals of the 70s.
3dartistguy 1 month ago
@3dartistguy And what business was it of Ken Starr's to ask Clinton about his private sex life? Talk about a waste of taxpayer money. Ken Starr was a well-known right-wing partisan who was appointed not by the by a panel of conservative judges who removed the original special prosecutor, Robert Fiske (who also was a Republican, but not a partisan fanatic). Starr was hoping to bring down Pres. Clinton so a future Republican president would appoint him to the SCOTUS. Didn't work!
GeorgiaKev 1 month ago
Because Clinton LIED in open court UNDER OATH about not having Sex with that Big Nosed, Fritzy haired girl, and PERJURY is a CRIME and he was a sitting President at the time. Obviously, you're such a LIBERAL you don't care if a sitting president committs PERJURY under OATH in a Court of Law... CLinton LOST his lawyer's license as a result. Nixon claimed that Archibald Cox was was a Left Wing Liberal from the Kennedy school of government during Watergate! Read Your History.
3dartistguy 1 month ago
@3dartistguy Open court? Since when is a grand jury room the same as "open court"? Starr asked Clinton about his affair with Monica in front of a grand jury which is done in PRIVATE. You can't even have your lawyer present in the room with you when testifying before a grand jury. YOU need to ready YOUR history if you believe that Ken Starr was anything less than a right-wing partisan hack. Starr had absolutely NO business prying into the president's sex life.
GeorgiaKev 1 month ago
@GeorgiaKev Clinton voluntarily gave up his law license for four years. Big deal.....like he even needed it anyway, the guy makes about $100,000 for every public speaking engagement he makes. And yes, I am a liberal, thank you. You're such a CONSERVATIVE that you actually believe that Ken Starr was an objective, non-partisan and professional prosecutor.
GeorgiaKev 1 month ago
The basic fact that CLinton committed PERJURY, LYING UNDER OATH in court doesn't seem to bother you in anyway? The fact that Clinton got impeached by the Congress and got away with it doesn't seem to bother you just becusase you're a liberal? You're not exactly holding the liberal standard up very high. The fact that Clinton got away with it because of all his money, power which the rest of us don't have doesn't bother you, huuh? Lying, Cheating, perjury, adultery doesn't mean that much to you?
3dartistguy 1 month ago
@3dartistguy Money and power didn't have anything to do with it. Yes, maybe Clinton used some of his influence to get his acquittal, but he got off primarily because the charges were bullshit. The guy shouldn't be stripped of his presidency because he had an affair, most of the hypocrites in the Republican party have affairs, Newt Gingrich was having an affair with his intern at the exact same time he was trying to take down Clinton for doing the same.
MrLunitunz 1 month ago
No one was saying that he should removed for having an affair, but for committing PERJURY in a court. Again, Clinton had no regad for his oath of office, or for telling the truth. He committed perjury in the Paula Jones case because he refused to settle it out of court, and then he was righteously impeached for PERJURY, not for adultery.Clinton had no regard for his oath of office or for telling the truth. Members of Congres have been removed for engaging in adultery however.
3dartistguy 1 month ago
@3dartistguy Have you ever told a "sex lie" in your life? He was put under oath to be asked if he had cheated on his wife? Why not do that with every member of Congress for that matter? I'm more bothered by the perjury Ronald Reagan committed at John Poindexter's trial by saying he "didn't remember" anything about the Iran-Contra scandal. Selling arms to the Ayatollah is a hell of a lot more serious than consensually touching a female intern's butt.
GeorgiaKev 1 month ago
No, i don't. If I ws ever in a court of law and swore on the Bible to tell the truth, I would! Clinton did not because his oath never meant anything to him. Telling the truth never meant anything to him. He was impeached NOT for adultery, but for PERJURY, not for adultery, but for PERJURY. Ill say it again, not for adultery, but for PERJURY. Im sorry if you're so in love with Liberal ideology to see that Clinton was and is essentially a pig.
3dartistguy 1 month ago
@3dartistguy And I will say this again. Bill Clinton should never have been asked under oath by a prosecutor if he had an extramarital affair. A prosecutor's job is to investigate criminal activity. Adultery is NOT a criminal offense. It was blatant abuse by Starr of his position as "independent" counsel and showed he was on a witchhunt. Did Reagan's perjury bother you? How about Judge Thomas when he said he never had discussed Roe v. Wade with anyone? Nope--you're a rightie.
GeorgiaKev 1 month ago
Clinton was not put on the witness stand for having an extramarrital affair. Paul Jones filed a sexual harrassment lawsuit against CLinton whcih you can be brought to court for, and he refused to settle out of court which he could have. He committed perjury in that court, whcih which is why he was impeached whcih is why he was under investigation by Ken Starr. President Reagan was never accused of perjury in court. you're too much a leftie liberal to see that. Perjury is a crime in itself.
3dartistguy 1 month ago
The reason why is because Clinton committed perjury and lied about not having an affair with that other female....thats when it became Ken Star's business. And again, Archibald Cox was also accused of being a left winger by the Nixon Adminstration during Watergate. If only Clinton hadn't lied before the American people and comitted perjury...but again, that doesn't seem to matter to you very much huh? You're not holding the liberal standard very high. I find that very , very sad.
3dartistguy 1 month ago
@GeorgiaKev Bill Clinton cared more about getting Bin Laden than Bush did. Bush let him live so he could be used as a form of fear mongering, distract the people from the problems at home with the threat of terorist attacks. At least Bill Clinton actually tried to do something.
MrLunitunz 1 month ago
@MrLunitunz Well, to be fair, I'm not happy about Clinton's half-hearted efforts to catch bin Laden. I know he tried to kill him once back in '98 after the bombings of the African embassies, but after that he really didn't try much. I do think Clinton was a good president overall, particularly with domestic affairs, however, his foreign policy was only fair at best.
GeorgiaKev 1 month ago
@GeorgiaKev Watch Bill Clinton's interview on Fox News, in his mind at least he did tons to catch Bin Laden, but the Republicans and various others prevented him from going the distance. Bush on the other hand had plenty of opportunities and never did anything except start pointless, unrelated, wars.
As for foreign policy, being a child of the nineties I'd say there wasn't much he needed to do. The Cold War was over and the War on 'Terror' hadn't begun, so it was relatively peaceful.
MrLunitunz 1 month ago
Clinton has the opprotunity in 1997 to capture Bin Laden when Brazil had him under arrest and offered him to us since he was a wanted international criminal and our government told them to just let him go...a wanted terrorist. Had we taken Bin Laden into custodity back then, it could have prevented 9/11.
3dartistguy 1 month ago
@3dartistguy There's no evidence that Bin Laden was even in Brazil in 1997, except from you, and you've proven to be soo trustworthy. Bin Laden wasn't even on the FBI's top ten in 1997. He wouldn't be until he bombed the embassies in 98. Whereas Bush has done everything you described, in 2005 he even scaled back the CIA task force designed to capture Bin Laden, saying "I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority."
MrLunitunz 1 month ago
Dude, look it up. Bin Laden was a wanted terrorist in the world. They had him under arrest and they offered him to us in 1997. If CLinton hadn't been too busy getting head in the oval office he might have done his job and put the AMerican peoiple first by accepting their offer.and taking Bin Laden into custodity and again maybe preventing 9/11. There was a muslim by the name of Mousad who tried to warn our government, but he was slain. Again, look it up youirself. Do the research.
3dartistguy 1 month ago
@3dartistguy I did. Bin Laden has never been under arrest. You're lying, and unless you cite your sources, I won't be convinced otherwise.
See, you don't get to win an argument by spreading blatant lies, that's not how debate works.
MrLunitunz 1 month ago
It was the LAtimes dude. "The offer, which would have brought Bin Laden to the Arab country as the first step of an extradition process that would eventually deliver him to the U.S., required only that Clinton make a state visit there to personally request Bin Laden's extradition. .Clinton's failure to grasp the opportunity represents one of the most serious foreign policy failures in American history."
3dartistguy 1 month ago
@3dartistguy The article you cited doesn't mention half the stuff you raised. Doesn't mention Brazil, doesn't mention Bin Laden being under arrest, doesn't mention 'Mousad'. As for the stuff it does mention, the article blames the Clinton ADMINSTRATION and Senior Clinton officials (i.e not Clinton personally) for these mis-fires, and is consistent with the account Clinton gave of himself in that Fox News interview. Paul Bremer and Richard Clarke both said that Clinton did care, more than Bush.
MrLunitunz 1 month ago
Dude, you are so deluded-here's what I found on the internet-"Bill Clinton ignored repeated opportunities to capture Osama bin Laden and his terrorist allies and is responsible for the spread of terrorism, one of the ex-president’s own top aides charges. Mansoor Ijaz, who negotiated with Sudan on behalf of Clinton from 1996 to 1998, paints a portrait of a White House plagued by incompetence, focused on appearances rather than action, and heedless of profound threats to national security."
3dartistguy 1 month ago
@3dartistguy You're deluded. I already discussed what was said in the article you mention. Yes, Clinton made mistakes. But the fact is he tried harder to get Bin Laden than Bush ever did, and Bush had the nine months before 9/11 and the many years before his Presidency was up after 9/11, time he instead spent waging pontless wars trying to finish what daddy started. Bin Laden was a much bigger deal during Bush's presidency than he was during Clinton's, so that says something.
MrLunitunz 1 month ago
The War wouldn't have started at all if Clinton hadn't been asleep at the switch! A U.S. intelligence official, speaking on condition of anonymity, this week called the Clinton administration's decision to pass up a chance to arrest Osama bin Laden in 1996 a "disgrace," saying "somebody didn't want this to happen." Who was the somebody? WHY CLINTON OF COURSE! "Under Clinton, at least three opportunities to have Bin Laden handed over to the U.S. were rejected inexplicably."-source, the NY TIMES!
3dartistguy 1 month ago
3dartistguy 1 month ago
@3dartistguy We're going around in circles here.
MrLunitunz 1 month ago
have you NOT read any of the postings I have put forth? Why do you continue to insist on blaming Bush when the real fault lies with Clinton? Yes, Bin Laden was a big deal back in the 1990s and Clinton personally let him get away to terrorrize the world more. Bush on the otherhand, took dramatic bold action and went to WAR against the terrorists and giving freedom to the people's of Iraq and Afghanistan and for that, Bush got called a War criminal which is not., but a freedom fighter.
3dartistguy 1 month ago
@3dartistguy If you honestly believe that, you're a bigger idiot than you've previously let on. Bush declared war to further his own interest, to finish what daddy started. The wars he started in Iraq and Afghanistan did absolutely nothing to curb terrorism, as exemplified by the fact that A) Al Qaeda still exists B) Bin Laden wasn't even IN either of those countries. Iraq had nothing to do with terrorism and Afghanistan is a mess, an unwinable one at that.
MrLunitunz 1 month ago
nO, , you're the idiot. I was over there, not you
3dartistguy 1 month ago

3dartistguy 1 month ago
@3dartistguy If you voted for Clinton, why are you trying to character assasinate him? You're acting like a child.
The fact is, 9/11 was ultimately no one's fault but Bin Laden's. Bill Clinton didn't get him. George Bush Jr didn't get him. But none of that matters anymore, the bastard's dead now, and he was killed before he could kill anyone else. There's no use pointing fingers because no one was perfect, and Bush dropped the ball just as much as Clinton.
MrLunitunz 1 month ago
Dude, I didn't say I was proud to have voted for him in 1996. If I could take it back now, I WOULD. cLINTON WAS JUST A HYPOCRITE. Anyone looking at this objectively would see that CLinton dropped the ball three times in his failure to get Bin Laden. At least Bush was trying to get Bin Laden CLinton deserves the blame of what happened on 9/11. Ignorant people like you call Bush a war criminal for going to war, he was not. The real criminal is the jerk who failed to get Bin Laden THREE times!
3dartistguy 1 month ago
@3dartistguy Clinton wasn't a hypocrite. The hypocrites are the far-right Republican politicians who tried to impeach him for having an affair when they were doing the same thing.
If Clinton failed, it's because he was trying to be diplomatic. Bush didn't have to be and yet he never got him. Bush just didn't care. Didn't care about freedom in the West or in the Middle East, he cared about his own agenda. But you refuse to see that. Instead you drag this argument around in circles.
MrLunitunz 1 month ago
CLinton wasn't a hypocrite???? How about accepting bribe money from the ex-wife of billionaire Marc Rich for a pardon because he was wanted by the IRS for failing to pay his fair share in Taxes? But again, you're making excuses for CLinton FAILING three seperate times to get Bin Laden when he had the chance and this man was a wanted terrorist. Clinton wasn't concerned about diplomacy. Bush gave freedom to Iraq and Afghanistan and history will judge him kindly for that just like FDR and W.Wilson.
3dartistguy 1 month ago
@3dartistguy No they won't. If you lived in the world you'd see most people think that Iraq was a pointless needless war, even a decent chunk of the Republicans.
Let's try a different tack, shall we? How about I hound you until your ears bleed about every single mistake you've ever made in your life. Would you like that?
Clinton wasn't perfect, no one is. If you want to troll Clinton because he got praise here, be my guest. Our discussion proves you don't do so for intelligent reasons.
MrLunitunz 1 month ago
Dude, Im not doing that. If you were related to one of the victims in the World Trade Center and you found out that the whole tragedy could have been averted if a former president had just done his job instead of getting head in the oval office, you'ed be pissed. If you volunteered for military service was stationed over in Iraq, you'ed have a different perspective. Bush made a difference around the world. Bush was responsible for getting rid of two brutal dictators. Clinton did squat.
3dartistguy 1 month ago
Furthermore Dude, Clinton and your cronie crowd are always touting how great he was, and when we look closer, we realize that he wasn't a great president, and how he fell asleep at the switch constantly and neglently allowed people to be killed needlessly because of his great ineptitude,Hillary Clinton won't ever be elected because her husband could never be considered "first gentleman" since you actually have to be one and not a pig that screws anyting in sight. Your hero has feet of clay.
3dartistguy 1 month ago
@3dartistguy You're not actually making any claims about his administration anymore, just childishly exclaiming "OOOHH he had an affair" as if that had anything to do with his administration. Iraq and Afghanistan are not free nations and won't be for a very long time. Perhaps sexual references are all you understand. Pounding away at a hopeless situation isn't in the best interest of America... sometimes the best thing you can do is pull out.
krossk424 1 month ago
I don't have problems with the fact that he cheated on wife, but tht he committed PERJURy and got away with it. We pulled out of Afghanistan prematurely in the early 1980s and that country became a bigger mess because the Taliban moved in. I surely hope that now we've pulled out of Iraq the same thing won't happen again there and we'll have to go back in there. But anyway, CLinton screwed things up by failing to get Bin LAden three times when he could have and needless deaths happened.
3dartistguy 1 month ago
@3dartistguy My 'hero' is flawed. Like all great heroes.
I'm gonna let you go around in circles, because that's all you really seem interested in doing. Have fun with it.
MrLunitunz 1 month ago
My heroes are flawed too, but they're not incompetant bunglers that present themselves as being super perfect in their own minds and yours. I hope you remember when you accuse Bush of being a "war criminal" or a "murderer" that Clinton had three opprotunitiies to get a wanted international terrorist that later was allowed to kill others that died needlessly if Clinton had did his job as president competantly.
3dartistguy 1 month ago
@3dartistguy You're just saying the same stuff over and over. Do you honestly have no other arguments?
MrLunitunz 1 month ago
@3dartistguy
WTF?

@3dartistguy If you hate president Clinton so much, why are you watching Clinton videos on youtube. I can`t stand that senile old bastard ronald reagan btw. I`m sure you agree that it was a damn shame that hinkley missed. God bless you and merry christmas.
Yellyist 1 month ago
Why do you hate a president who created 21 million jobs? I dislike Clinton because of the scandals and embarrassment and humilation he put this country through. Clinton is a crook, but you don't seem to mind that. You don't seem to mind that he was the biggest hyprocrite in the world by denouncing the GOP from "favoring" the wealthy and then accepting a bribe from the ex wife of billionaire Marc Rich who was wanted by the IRS for not paying his "fair share" in taxes for nearly 20 years
3dartistguy 1 month ago
@3dartistguy The Lewinsky scandal was a private affair. He cheated on his fucking wife. The GOP wanted destroy Clinton from day one and started a bullshit investigation and wasted millions of tax payers money. Ken Starr didn`t find anything else than the Lewinsky affair which was NOT illegal. Why did he force the president to lie about his sexlife?? Because the whole point was to start a vendetta. Keep in mind that Starr had an agenda. He hated Clinton, and wanted to destroy him.
Yellyist 1 month ago
Thats the same thing Nixon said about his special prosecutor, Archibald Cox and Reagan said the same thing too about his special investigator. Look it up. Clinton perjured himself during the Paula Jones case in court which IS illegal. Of course you don't have any problems of Clinton giving a pardon to a wealthy millionaire wanted by the IRS and hiding out in Switzerland for twenty years in exchange for an undislosed sum of money to Clinton's library..but we won't mention that....
3dartistguy 1 month ago
@3dartistguy You cannot compare watergate to lewinsky-gate. presidents has been cheating for years. Clinton was not the first, and he won`t be the last. Kennedy is famous for his cheating and he is still rankes as one of the greatest presidents ever. FDR had a mistress and is ranked as the greatest president ever. Clinton did what other great presidents has done. Clinton was a huge success. He created a surplus, and reduced the deficit. A president can pardon who ever he or she wants to pardon
Yellyist 1 month ago
Yes you can compare Watergate and Contragate to Lewinsky gate-does it matter to you at all that while decrying about Republicans helping the weathy that Clinton not only lied in court committing PERJURY and got away with it and taking bribe money in exchange for a pardon..but none of that matters to you huh? JFK, FDR, etc that was a different time period and I doubt they would get away with it today. If you're own wife can't trust you, than how can you expect the rest of the country???
3dartistguy 1 month ago
@3dartistguy Ken Starr should never have been allowed to question the president of the united states of America about his sexlife. Well, 50% of all men are cheating so i guess there`s a lot of lying bastards among us. I don`t care about the pardons at all. Maybe i would have cared if he had pardoned Charlie Manson or something. The GOP impeached Clinton for lying about his sexlife. Nancy Pelosi did not impeach Bush/Cheney for lying about Iraq. I wish the dems were just as nazi as you reps are.
Yellyist 1 month ago
Are you retarded or soemthing? They didn't impeach him for his sex life, such as it is, they impeached him for committing PERJURY in court during the Paula Jones case. Again, they impeached him for committing perjury in court, not his disgusting sex life..and it was CLinton who refused to settle out of court with Paula Jones. Had he settled, he would have never gone to court and committed perjury on the witness stand. Clinton didn't learn anything from Nixon's Watergate experience.
3dartistguy 1 month ago
@3dartistguy Retarded?? Go fuck yourself you fucking halfwit. I don't take shit from anybody. I`m a New Yorker. We talk back. What are you? A fucking redneck or something? don`t talk to me again. I wasn`t rude to you before you called me a retard. nobody talks to me like that.

there you go again.
3dartistguy 1 month ago
@3dartistguy Ok, perjury because he lied about his sexlife. I would have lied too for christ sake. But why didn't Pelosi impeach Bush/Cheney for lying about the war in Iraq? You`ve gotta give it to the reps. They impeached president Clinton for lying about an affair. That is a declaration of war, and the dems should wake up and start to hit back. Nancy Pelosi was a weak speaker. She should have impeached Bush/Cheney, Tom Delay and the rest of them..
Yellyist 1 month ago
There was nothing to impeach Bush about. Taking out Saddam Hussein wqa s good thing to do globaly. The bastard refused to cooperate with UN weapons inspections. Hussein, Bin Laden, Gaddafi and Kim Jong Ill are long gone. The world is safer without them. CLinton refused to settle out of court with Paula Jones. Sexual harrassment is a very bad thing. Had Clinton settled out of court, he wouldn't have lied in court and impeached for committing perjury as Ive said for the hundredth time.
3dartistguy 1 month ago
@3dartistguy Paula Jones??!! She had her own agenda. Nothing illegal happened anyway. i don`t think Bush was honest about weapons of mass destruction, and lying about a war is extremely serious. i think the democrats should declare war on the GOP and totally screw them next time they get a super majority in the congress. Let`s sabotage the next republican president the same way that the GOP has sabotaged president Obama and his agenda. Lets give em some payback. I`m fed up now.
Yellyist 1 month ago

3dartistguy 1 month ago

3dartistguy 1 month ago
@3dartistguy President Clinton was criticized for being too conservative. And i like the way you call Obama and Clinton spendocrats when the truth is that nobody spends more than the republicans. Where were you during Reagans 8 years when he increased the deficit?? Where were you when Bush totally ruined our economy and almost took us into a great depression?? President Clinton did very well on the economy. He had a budget surplus and reduced the deficit and created millions of jobs. Go away!
Yellyist 1 month ago
President Reagan created 21 million jobs and you hate him for that. Obama has increased the national debt to 15 trillion dollars in just three years and he's created ZERO JOBS. Clinton continued to advocate Affirmative Action which keeps qualified white boys like me unemployed. I was serving my country in the Navy for the last nine years and I had a full time job until Mr Obama came along and started downsizing our military and the space program, creaing MORE unemployment. YOU GO away!
3dartistguy 1 month ago
@3dartistguy The amazing thing about you republicans is that you`re completely brainwashed. How can you whine about president Obama when Bush caused his fucking problems. Bush left the country in a mess, and president obama had to clean up for him. And he did. The economy is growing again, and people are not losing their jobs anymore. The stimulus failed because of the taxcuts. 1/3 of the stimulus was taxcuts, and they didn`t help the economy at all. Taxcuts does not help the economy. It`s a myth
Yellyist 1 month ago
No' you're completely brainwashed. Obama's 787 stimulus hasn't created any job growth whatsoever. Obama has increased the National debt to 15 trillion in just three years. Unemployment has remained sky high average of 9 to 10 percent in the last three years. The economy is NOT growring again. The tax cuts DO not create the defict, overspending by the Obama adminstration has. You're either just brainwashed, uneducated, or ignorant and you got the nerve to condemn southerners.
3dartistguy 1 month ago
@3dartistguy I hate southerners... They sleep with their cousins and live in trailers.... We can`t stand those bastards here in New York. We had a moron from Texas in my school, and the guys used to beat the shit out of him everyday. His stupid accent... god i hated him. And if it had been up to the south me and my brothers would have been slaves for the white man. they used to lynch people like me in the 60`s, so yeah. i do have a BIG problem with the south. They killed Martin Luther King too.

yeah, sure, if you were a minority and benefited from Affirmative action you could get a job.

Reagan created the tea party and their fucked up ideas. i hate him for that yes. too bad John Hinckley didn`t aim better!

3dartistguy 1 month ago
CLinton did not care about getting bin Laden. In 1997, Brazil had Bin LAden under arrest in 1997 and they offered him to us since he was a wanted international terrorist and our own government refused to take him into custody, a wanted terrorist..if we had taken Bin Laen into custody, 9/11 would hae NEVER happened.

Look at Bush in the background. He doesn't know what hit him. Clinton knows how to talk to the average American. "This decision you're about to make better be about what kind of economic theory you want." It was almost like he was giving voters a tough wake-up slap, not pleading for their votes.
