@thedrknghtno1 If you have the original serial on DVD, in fact both 1943 and 1949 versions, both narrators arfe the same person. Knox Manning who originally started as a radio announcer. He did the openings for the Rathbone-Bruce Sherlock Holmes radio program. He was the perennial serial narrator for Columbia into the Fifties. His melodramatic readings became his trademark.
the movie is good not better than new and i could do with out the racisism i really dont think batman would approve of it ....but i understand its a different time and batman will be what every the people need him to be selflessness
Y'know, considering that Batman's been around for 70 years, you'd think that a 60-some year old live-action "detective style" Batman image wouldn't phase me as anything more that absolutely awesome...yet, there's something just a little surreal about Batman busting through windows and whatnot when blended fantastically with the movie style of the 1940s. Absolutely delicious! x]
Clever bastards.

Vastly better than Adam West's Batman, just horrible but i really like this, very much in the film noir tradition

Well, it's better than Christopher Nolan's movies.

I actually really like the dramatic music over the tiles, like some really serious and creepy is about to be seen.
