  • Three Large Core Defense Field extender rigs, a DC2, 1600mm rolled tungsten plates, two invul field 2s, two large shield extender 2s. End result 260,000 EHP. My answer to hulkageddon, and a hell of a lot better then that pilots 76k EHP.

  • @renardthatch Don't read too much into the EHP..... A lot of the pilots we ganked had bigger tanks then that and we out ganked them.

Concentrate on the hull, you want bulkheads if you're going to tank an attempted gank in a Orca.

  • Awesome vid man. I'm glad to see that there are still people who know that this is just a game.

    Peace

  • what a waste of ships. it only took u 10?? really?? only 10? i've seen people take out 4-5 mack/hulks with one bs. you guys fail.

  • @smokedeganja Orcas have the ehp of 50 to 100 hulks and macks. So.. You fail I guess.

  • hulkageddon is dumb go ahead and kill the miners so the ship prices and ore go up

  • Hulkageddon not quite as lucrative now since CCP changed the insurance conditions, took them long enough :)

  • Can't fight the big boys hey so you go for the miner! Try something that shoots back and make the video exciting.

  • @Jazzif69 wah wah, heard it all before. Read the description.

  • @Jazzif69 . They thrive off of and are sustained by your impotent tears of rage.

  • Nice kill - hope that wasn't the only ship the Pilot had ...

  • Pfft boring and gay.... Rare to see decent pvp anymore.

  • @0075mathews this was two years ago dumbass

  • who ever came up with hulkageddon shoudl be jettisoned with a life suit at the same time the star he is near is about to go supernova hulkageddon is a big excuse for the pvp rats with no skill to claim kill in high sec without concord intervereing

  • song?

  • 0:51 ITS A TRAP

  • DCII and Reinforced Bulkheads and the Orca would have happily sat there watching while concord did their thing, then started nom nom nom'ing though some nice battleship salvage and loot.

  • @adamgrocco Hmmm I'm not sure he would have. We ganked loads of Orcas with bulkheads and DCU's. We always went overkill.

  • The Video is lame so are the people who made it......Friggen Nobs

  • @LordMaxwellx This Comment is lame so is the person who made it.......Friggen Nob

  • @benmols HA HA HA HA HA ur a Nob !!

  • @LordMaxwellx Niiiiiice come back!

  • @benmols Hmmmm I sapose.....Like urs is any better nob

  • No DCII on the Orca. This displeases me.

  • Comment removed

  • i think the real irony is that high sec miners arent the real threat to ore prices and isk generation in reality. And while these guys killed an orca with some t2 mods on it, they probably lost the same isk collective value in all thier battleships, which then need to be replaced. Off to hit up the miner bots to replace your battleships boys?

  • @kineticdeath Read the description. All fittings were loot (at least for me they were), despite that, we were a very rich corp with very rich members. Most of our corp members controlled the implant market doing level 5's in their motherships.

  • @benmols ohh my bad, 432m loss for the orca guy, did you guys kill the mining ships too, in case they were miner bots? lol. the orca had meta 4 shield extenders or faction? Still you guys should (if you dont already) go farm the hell out of miner bots! lol

  • as much as i am against suicide ganking... it really is hilarious when it is not YOUR wallet going down lol

but yeah, hulkageddon is kinda fun. Even I participated a bit in the last one.

  • Because i'm too lazy to search, would someone explain what hulkageddon is?

(been playing eve for three weeks...)

  • @Selloutshort LOL YOU THINK 20 MILLION ISK IS A LOT... I don't think it possible to complete a lvl 5 mission solo and not make at least 50 mil. But one has to wonder if you can even pull 3's at this point, 20 mil is about what one makes from the bounty alone on lvl 4's... and you removed the original comment. Might as well have responded "You're right, I just created my toon 2 days before I posted, stupid noob is stupid." Would have pretty much said the same thing.

  • @Selloutshort We used carriers and moms for Lvl5's, fastest and easiest way to make isk. We basically ruled the implant markets.

  • @Selloutshort wow, are you really this stupid? Originally I thought the posters comment bitching about other's comments was a bit over the top, but then I read your comment... and that it was from 2 weeks ago... How can you be so motivated to comment on this video and yet not even have a basic understanding of the game? You completely reveal a large amount of ignorance by 1.) being clueless about Hulkageddon, 2.) asserting that BS are expensive. You probably think one makes a lot on lvl 4's, lol

  • I was in that field!:))

  • HAHAHa this is great, battleship gang blobs on a orca in some random icebelt XD

  • THe music was perfectly timed. THe majority of the Bs's wapred in when it picked up! Fantastic kill

  • I'm tempted to put a ban on all people who are new to EvE commenting on this video. Their comments are getting quite irritating now.

This is what we call a "Suicide gank." It was done as part of the HulkaGeddon competition. We were a pirate corp that did this stuff for fun even when HulkaGeddon wasn't on. Please, if you have not been playing EvE for more than a year, please refrain from commenting, or at least THINK about your irrational unlettered comments. Regards,

    Benmols.

  • @benmols

I've been at EVE for less than 3 months now and I know exactly what a suicide gank is, new != retarded.

  • @ComradeAlpharius Excellent, well your peers clearly have no idea about what's going on in this video!

  • @Selloutshort You're clearly new to EvE, or never been part of a proper pirate corp or even a large alliance. I'll leave you to vent your anger though. Good boy, let it out now.

  • @Selloutshort 2. Most of the corp had played EvE since Beta. We knew about concord. That's why it was a SUICIDE gank. Failtrol is fail.

  • @Selloutshort hahaha oh man. This is the best comment so far. 1. We didn't care about losing ships, we used to suicide carriers. We were a very rich corp. At the time, the insurance in EvE was strange, you could fully insure a ship, and with free fittings you would get MORE than the price of the ship back in insurance. So BC's would have infact made us lose money. So considering we did suicide ganks about 10 times a day would mean we were making money.

  • you forgot the other half were you get corp ganked for there revenge or concord smacking u for ganking in high sec

  • @Mrnentendoman I don't forget that part.... You can see Concord shooting us the second we warp in. And I would assume people watching this video already know that it's a SUICIDE gank. Since it says it's in high sec...

  • @Mrnentendoman Also, our corp was huge (I no longer play EvE). We had the biggest amount of capital and super capital ships for a corp of our size. We would have welcomed a corp gank, we played eve for PvP. We've been ganked and hot dropped a hundred times, we loved a good fight.

  • He couldnt fire back?

  • @LIFESaGAME247 It's an industrial capital ship, which is a glorified name for "carries lots of rocks". It doesn't have the systems to support guns powerful enough to defend it.

  • what's the first thing that warped in? the "Captain! Wtf is this!?" part. Is it a Typhoon? I got a little trouble recognising the silhouette. And I'm guessing you guys had a cloaky for a warpin. Which was the filmer.

  • @Kw1q51lv3r Yeah it was a typhoon. And I'm not sure if it was a cloaky or not. We did different things. Sometimes we'd use hulks as warpins.

  • My rule in eve is fly what you cant afford and rage in local XD

  • Garbage in (rats in), garbage out (garbage cans out): continuously jettisoning 1 unit of velspar to leave behind garbage cans (dang appropriate name) , while mining for your own full shipboard load, has proven to be a nice payback for can flipper rats as evidenced by chat channels. Results: It works. Can flippers can be confused!

  • @knurlykneed If you really want to mess with can flipper, fit your hulk/orca out with some light tackle, just enough to hold them still until your combat ships warp in from a nearby safe spot. We've done this a few time when known flippers showed up and popped quite a few of the pricks.

Some people need to learn to spot the difference between a carebear and people who mine with alts while camping :)

  • awsome video i hope you rape all the exhumers mining barges and orcas more money for me in my hulk :D cause im not a idiot.

  • Wow...gutless faggots...nice work. pffft

  • @roywoodjr1 Thanks mate, comments like this make it all worth while <3

  • @roywoodjr1 are you mad?

  • @vaju79 Not mad, just amazed at your l33t pvp skills as demonstrated in the video. I'm surprised you dont control all of the Eve Universe!?

  • @roywoodjr1 No, we don't control all of the Eve Universe. All of the biggest alliances in Eve do this, in fact, they don't target pathetic Orcas. They target freighters. they gank freighters. This is happens everyday in Eve. This video is not a one-off event. This happens A LOT. This is Eve. get used to it.

  • I went to the sponsor's website.. I can't believe that's actually a business O_o

  • @megamarsvin Why's that?

  • ccp have also said they dont inject large amounts of isk into the game to balance it out, they say and claim the games ecenomic structure mechanics balances the economy for them. i fully support these events if they are indeed used as intended and with less descrimination. i think ccp needs to take more care these things could drive legit players from the game and eve needs more players. more players = more money = a better game.

  • @wannos27 True eve players would rather see the back of these people! If you have an understanding of EvE then you wouldn't cry like a baby if your ship got ganked, if you do, then you can leave the game. It will be a better game for it!

  • ok so the event is aimed at giving the isk farmers and gold farmer in eve a devastateing blow so i have one question! what the hell are you doing when you decide to gank an orca ??? if im not mistaken that cannot mine and cannot contribute to the isk farming, also how the hell do you even know if the orca was a bot or isk farmer. your just a bunch of greifers at the end of the day. eve would be better off with less griefers than it would with less isk farmers.

  • @wannos27 First of all. That is not the point of Hulkageddon. Second of all the Orca is the vessel that the mining barges put their ore into. Third of all. There was various prizes given for the amount of Orcas killed in the whole event and also for the first Orca killmail of the event. Fourth and final point. We are not "Griefers" for that particular day we were gankers and pirates. A big part of EvE. Get over it.

  • @benmols its an event which ccp uses to bring stability to the eve economy and also delvier a blow to any third party ilegal isk farming ops in the game. thats exactly what ccp uses it for and sure they also use it as an event for the players to rack up some kills and rewards.. but the main reason is for what i said. ccp has also said this them selves. isk farming by thrid party companies in eve online is a big problem because the players buy isk illegally. it ruins the economy

  • @wannos27 Hahaha you actually think CCP organises hulkageddon? Amazing. CCP has nothing to do with Hulkageddon.

  • @benmols ccp has said that these ships are always replaced, to do that these guys have to spend the isk they intend to sell to players for real money there for putting that isk back into the eve economy. its one of the things ccp uses to to keep market stability and it also helps to stop the increasing problem with thrid party gold farming businesses who trade ilegally with other companies interlectual data. problem is not all miner/indycap pilots are associated with this ilegal activity.

  • @wannos27 Haha wow... Can you give me some citation please. Of course CCP try to stop the macro miners and the effect they have on the economy. But they do not do it by running hulkageddon! And they do not replace ships that are legitimately ganked!!! People get haulers and freighters ganked every day. They do not replace them. Ridiculous remarks.

  • @benmols im not a miner or a indy cap pilot so i dont really have anything to get over, i just think its wrong that such an event should exist with its explicit intentions as it targets the innocent as well as the criminals in the game. not every one reads forums there fore not knowing about these so called events designed at reducing the amount of isk in running system. destroying these ships on mass means they need to and will be repurcased from the market putting the isk back into game cycle

  • @wannos27 I'll simply quote somebody else who commented on this video: "this is the reason you really should play this game. EVE is a hard unforgiving sandbox... make of it whatever you want to."

This is what EVE is about. You can do anything. It is lawless (To an extent). It's a sandbox. They don't have to read the forums about the event. People get ganked in their mining barges even when hulkageddon isn't on! It's what happens every day in eve.

  • @benmols

    Or the reverse.

Had a buddy kill a tackler yesterday in his hulk. Granted it was a T1 tackler, but a Hulk win nonetheless.

    eve . battleclinic . com / killboard / killmail . php ? id = 13248610

  • hulkageddon, to stop retarded uneducated high sec carebears being just that and start doing something productive in eh EvE world.

  • @pinkyfull :

They are doing something productive. We buy their minerals genius.

  • fantastic.

  • ahh hulkageddon two, when eve looked shitty.

  • See... this is why I don't take my orca to the belt. No my orca hugs the station. Sure you can still arty it to death but with 200+ ehp it will take about 15-20 battleships to pull it off ofcourse that is assuming I don't dock the moment you start trying to lock me. You could try bumping me off station but I watch for that and dock before impact.

  • You don't have to come and confess, we lookin for you. We gon' fiiind you, we gon'find you. So you can run and tell that, run and tell that, run and tell that, homeboy ho-ho-homeboy.

  • all you hulk pilots better watch out for hulkageddon this time 'round! \o/

  • Where it gets rough, though, is when you get that first hulk, and you're down to 12 million ISK, you mine for maybe a day or so, and someone pops it. I was set back a month at least by this so-called "Hulkageddon" yesterday, and it was devastating in-game. Most people whose hulks get raped have ISK up the yin-yang, but in my case, it truly was a horrible setback. I'm over it, but I'm using a retriever for the next couple months, probably. My asking prices for minerals will be higher.

  • @dmorlan What's your ingame name?

  • @benmols

I'm a little nervous about calling undo attention to myself. I like to keep low-key in the game. I've been playing for about 8 1/2 months. I'm averaging about 10 million ISK per day, and I expect to have another hulk in just under a month. I got popped Friday night at 23:00 or so Eastern time in Ingbaener or something like that. (It is .05 space I believe) by an corp called Carebear Love or something. I'm not the type to spread hate mail, or flame mails, etc. That's pointless..

  • There's different kinds of people in the game, and some are just those types that dust folks. I had some high points. I was thrilled rolling my Hulk out, and mining so much ore without having to dock, etc. It's all part of the game. I'll get there again, I just wish I had more recourse than to be a helpless victim to 6 crazed, loot-thirsty thugs.

  • @dmorlan Well the best way to stop being ganked is to make concord or the police spawn in your belt. Create and alt, make them attack you / a can and then concord will spawn. Then you stand more of a chance when concord have already spawned.

  • @dmorlan

    Idea, stop breaking rules 1&2.

  • @dmorlan

    1. EVE Rule#1 Dont fly anything you mind losing/cant replace

    2. While it may not be true in your case or in the instance in this video, most miners are hardly aware Dscan exists. Unless you are in combat there is no reason for your Dscan not to be hot, what the hell else are you doing, with a proper anti-gank overview set + your eye on Local; Local goes +5 = something you should react to

    3. You can ask a higher price for your minerals, gl with that

    4. Active tank on anti-gank fit=fail

  • @morningthaw

EVE Rule #1 is "fly only what you can afford to lose" - what you can afford to replace is another matter entirely. If you're living somewhere you like, what you can afford to lose to stay there is pretty much everything you have.

Not that I'm taking the Orca's side here. High sec's security is an illusion for any asset worth more than a noob-ship, and no opportunity for people to learn that should be missed. But that first rule's wording is important :P.

  • Comment removed

  • @dmorlan

I strongly suspect the entire point of hulkageddon is to raise mineral prices and ORE ship prices on a regular schedule, resulting in large profits to whatever clever industrialist is ultimately behind this tradition. So by raising your mineral prices, you too are supporting hulkageddon :D

  • @karrakis

It's not a suspicion for me

It's some part of the truth ;)

  • @karrakis Tears > market economy

  • @karrakis Yea the irony is that when pvp players kill the miners like this and it causes the minneral prices to go up all of the stuff they use goes up in price some too.

  • @dmorlan Look up information about griefers and Hulkageddon so you know when to fly something else.

  • @dmorlan

The cardinal rule of EVE is "Don't fly what you can't afford to lose."

  • Can't stop laughing at this. heheh^^

  • Mjolnir Rage Torpedo <--T2 torp launcher

    Damage done: 6063 (53.04%)

our ships fully Tech 1 fitted... <--fake

  • @GanjaSaveTheWorld I don't understand your comment? Somebody fitted T2 launchers to their ship... so....?

  • @GanjaSaveTheWorld The reason I mentioned it being T1 fitted was because of the insurance system, we we're making money from it fitting with T1. Nothing to do with the damage. The amount of ships we used was ridiculous overkill for an orca gank.

  • @benmols 0.6 system and no concord?

  • @nibler887 No concord? There is plenty of concord... You see them shooting us and you can see loads of black dots in the wide shot. They are concord.

  • @BennyMoles yep I see them now

  • When the battleships warped in I let out an oh shit, two seconds before the caption...

  • Lol I know Leihalay

  • Surprises me that when they warp in the the Orca gets owned that the hulk don't warp out!

  • hulkageddon 4 - attack of the virgins, cant wait it score me an orca :)

  • um what song is that

  • SURPRISE!!! BUTT SEX!!!!!!!

  • Cant wait to gank the hulkageddon contestants. COME ON, FEBRUARY 2011! WOO!

  • Dislike for the 80's limey SKA that sounds like it was played on Miami Vice

  • That was sooo epic, I was shouting and singing at the same time. It started with a kiss, then Shoot To Thrill, jeez, mix for awesomeness.

  • next huulkageddon starts in Feb 2011!

  • if you are ever minning with an orca you should always have back up around , because if people do come like that your defantly dead !

  • @MrSplademan

And what would that do. They would have to sit there and watch you die.

And you can't tank concord after a while a bs. Shows up an does enough damage to 1 shot anything in the game (don't quote me on this it's just what I heard)

And even if you could you would get banned since avoiding a death by concord is one of the few things in the game that is not allowed.

  • First officer: Capitan, WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON!?

Capitan: Well, frank, I would say we're fucked. I gonna go run naked through the halls now.

  • its more like orcageddon :((

  • kick ass bro, gotta love surprise ganks

  • When transporting high value cargo... bring a protection gang.

  • Almost as good as the freighter suicide gank in high sec where it dropped some T3 stuff and get ready, yes it's true, T3 BPCs and one T3 BPO. Well worth the loss of a few T1 BSes. This is why people are now locking every hauler and frieghter undocking in sales hub systems--such as Jita. They're using their cargo scanner on you. They're [freighter ganks] going to be getting more and more popular.

  • how strong is concord?

  • @Jarkey1414 They will pop your battleship in less than 10 seconds. They will pop anything lower than a Battleship in 1 volley.

  • @benmols in other words, riged to win no matter what. what happens if you do kill them?

  • @benmols i have seen somebody tank concord on another youtube video. they had a whole bunch of people with all support items on them. shield transfers, remote armor reps, heavy-light armor and shield bots

  • @1993futuremarine Afaik, if you rep someone that is getting shot at by concord, concord will now shoot you too. So, I doubt that's possible anymore.

  • @MandarbJair i know that they would shoot you to but wouldnt they wait until the guy who caused them to shoot was killed first then go after the guys who had the repairs?

  • @benmols took 3 shots to kill a destroyer with no tank...

  • @lobbo232 It depends which part of high sec you are in. They have a smaller spawns and lower response time in 0.6 but in 1.0 they are faster and stronger.

  • @benmols I know i know, don't need to point out the obvious. but this was in Vylade (Can't recal what sec it was)

  • @Jarkey1414 They are godly.

  • @Jarkey1414 corncord can only be compared to chuck norris... only concord doesnt have a beard

  • @Jarkey1414 Eve God.

  • love that event. nice vid

  • So....Much... Win....

  • Heh, that was my corp mate lol

  • I wonder if insurance should not be awarded to ships that earned a concord response. Thoughts?

  • @bocrandall Agree, at the moment the only downside to such actions is a loss in faction with concord.

They need to balance the reward for the risk.

  • @Darthane They don't need to balance the reward for the risk. This is what eve is about, its an unforgiving sandbox.

  • @benmols Thing is though, at the moment, there is little to no risk involved with ganking a single craft, what's the worst that will happen, you have your ship blown while theirs survives? salvage and loot your ship, get another, re-insure, find a softer target.

The game is well balanced, everything has risk/reward, a lot of the time the risk involved is variable because it relies on other players, this doesn't, if someone can faction grind they can gank a lot of ships without recourse.

  • @Darthane Well the risk is that you loose your ship or that you dont even kill the target (Which happens a lot). But that is eve, their are rules but not overpowering rules, its a lawless universe. Concord isnt as strong as you think it is, thats what makes it a great game.

  • @bocrandall Of course it shouldnt. But dont expect CCP to make that change. They dont have a problem with this type of activity in Eve. They actually encourage it. All you can do is make sure YOU have insurance.

  • Stimulating the economy of EVE

  • U are really loosers . Go killing some real enemys . Miner Pirates . which ally u are ??

  • lol, triple A's have been ganking a lot in teon lately, they keep ganking hulks and macks in cruisers lol.

Teon is my chill system, and the rest of my industry corp,

    poor gunless bastads xD

  • what song is this? sounds like AC/DC =)

  • HAHAHA its a little funny since I know Leihalay

  • Haven't seen Quam around for quite some time.

  • This right here is why i play eve. im not a pirate, but they sure do make this game exciting.

  • Fuckin' hilarious.

  • the Orca that was in this video was mine, and my other account was filling the Orca also was popped by the same gang. It was odd seeing my own ship getting popped from some one elses view. I do missions mostly now.

  • @ny10b3j oh shit dude. haha, sorry! :p It was all part of hulkageddon.... Do you still do mission in Teonusude?

  • @benmols

    OH SHIT ITS A TARP

  • @benmols God i'd hope not....

  • @ny10b3j

You know if you'd have put a DCII and a reinforced bulkhead II on that thing you would have been the one laughing.

  • @ny10b3j

You know if you'd have put a DCII and a reinforced bulkhead II on that thing you would have been the one laughing. Seriously that ship can get over 200k ehp easy shield extender rigs and what I mentioned above and you'd have survived that.

  • @ny10b3j And when hulkageddon starts in February 2011, minerals will be scarce. Miners just wont mine. So, screw their manufacturing :)

  • @ny10b3j

Orca is what 300 / 400 million, 10 BS ships = 1 billion? FAIL!!! They lost way more then it cost you.

  • @vukster You're wrong. 10BS's do not cost 1billion. All the fittings were FREE as we we're pirates and it was all loot. And the ships were fully insured which paid us MORE than the ships cost us to buy including the insurance cost. This was before they changed the way insurance worked.

    So, to reiterate. You're wrong.

  • @vukster raven 80 million, typhoon & domi 40 million, and tech I fittings from looting :-D

  • lol hulkageddon i remeber that comp it was the day i got my first hulk I SAY MY FIRST !!!!!! lol and then 30 mins after being exited like a kid at xmas i saw the hulkgeddon comp pop up then i got popped shortly after that lol oh well if he's got money to spend on buying an orca then it's fair the first rule of eve is NEVER BUY WHAT YOU CARN'T AFFORD!!! remeber that kidds

  • Haha nice pwn!

Ahve to do this too ;)

  • haha that sucks lol

  • lmao nice ..... please edont do that to my orca i love it so =3 (but mines so much more better tanked)

  • Wow. I'm pretty sure that Orca pilot needed a new pair of pants. Funny video.

The moral of the story is don't fucking mine in something expensive during Hulkageddon. This type of thing RARELY happens otherwise in high-sec unless there are reasonable motives, such as corporate/alliance warfare or pirate action. Even so, this is EVE. Anything can happen anywhere. This is a game of risk management, opportunity and consequence.

  • And that's why nobody should be dumb enough to take out a 350million ISK industrial ship in the middle of Hulkageddon.

My only experience with a member of Quam Singulari was a limp-dick who called himself "Li Ter". Got his kicks trying to extort noob corps in hi-sec from the safety of his T2 fitted Raven, shooting at T1 frigs, cruisers and barges. Such a brave cock.

  • @TheNeognostic That's not really fair, most the miners I know didn't find out about Hulkageddon until AFTER their hulk was destroyed. Of course they're not going to keep up to date with pirate activities until it affects them, why would they? They know better now, and I doubt anyone who knows about it is going to take their miner out, all the miners I know are staying docked for at least a week or two, only the clueless people will.

  • @therealsnow Yeah I gues thats true, but we sit in the all the carebear channels and mission running channels. And they all warn constantly of Hulkageddon. But I gues not everybody sits in these channels.

  • @therealsnow you realy should check out eve forums.. :D

  • @therealsnow If you watch me vids the system that we "Hulkageddon" in I personaly warned everybody in the system every day for a week prior to "Hulkageddon" start, I guess macro miner bots just arnt smart enough to read warnings!!. Go figure :*)

  • @therealsnow Thats not fair to say either, i was about a week into a hulk and i was aware of hulkageddon III.......a month and a half before it ACTUALLY happened and i'm a relative newbie myself

  • @therealsnow Any hisec miner who does not check forums on a daily basis to see if another hulkageddon is starting up should not fly anything bigger than a Retreiver

  • lol... 10 BSs on an orca.. killboard masturbators..

you could have ganked it with 10 t1 frigs and even then it wouldn't be impressive...

and btw pirates are robbers.. not a serial killers.. but you'll learn it with age..

    fly safe.. 07
