Couldn't agree more, Sprint really do suck. my phone calls dropped all the time. and overcharged all the time. cant believe Ive been burning my money being with htem for ten fucking years... so I canceled it it two weeks ago paid my very last bill, fucking cant believe they billed me early termination fee. I aint gonna pay them, fuck up.. Im moving to VirginMobile now, phone calls never dropped, and my phone bills only $25 a month(unlike Sprint $67 for the $49 basic plan fucking ripoff).

ok... first of all being a csr for sprint and a sprint customer i can see how a long hold time would be frustrating, but keep in mind Sprint has almost 45million customers, and has over 250 call centers not including vended call centers, if you were on hold for over 2 hours, i can almost guarentee there was an outage that was either nation wide or close to nation wide, sprint over the years has been tracking call volume and can predict about how many reps they need on the phones at one time...

I agree, it not just the C.S. but also the overall company, I have had them all of 90 days and the could not port my CDMA number to a CDMA phone, now could they get my plan right. They have charged me $250. out of no where, and told me my claim would take 72 hours to be looked at and it would take even longer to get my money. I told them what they are doing is illegal and they said fax us bank account number to a random fax number and wait. Yea, Right!
They are going to go out of business. Their customers are cancelling left and right and they don't know how to invest their money. To top it off, their customer service reps are terrible and don't know how to treat their customers. That long wait time is an obvious sign of their future failure. They get more problematic calls than any other company. Even T-mobile doesn't consider sprint to be of any real competition

I was on Sprint about 5 years ago when I switched to Cingular which became AT&T. My service with Sprint was always horrible, and I don't know why anyone would gravitate toward that company, especially makers of new cell phones like the Palm Pre or HTC EVO. I just don't get it.

I actually changed my mind and decided to keep them but after 55 minutes of being bounced back and forth between departments and on hold then the non English speaking rep told me I had to pay 30$ activation fee even thou the contract says new customers don't pay activation fee . After 15 minutes she said she could waive the fee but then she didn't understand the ESN I was giving her then she gave me an out of state number and did it twice
And after 30 minutes of her bullshit I told her I wanted a local number . Why would I want a out of state area code number?? She then asked me in broken english "What do you mean "local" number?" Thats when I exploded and told her just transferred me to the cancellation dept. I then spent 15 mins on hold and once transferred I was told that by the rep i had "draconian standards". The guy wanted to argue and I told him I don't have this much problems with tmobile. and I wanna cancel
He told me I was ridiculous to expect an english speaking rep since all of the phone companies are outsourcing. I have tmobile and perhaps they are foreigners but most of them can speak and understand english better than sprint and I never spent 55minutes trying to activate a phone neither have I had a tmobile rep not have any idea how how to activate a phone. I used to work for Sprint, just over 6 years. I have at&t cellular service, for about a decade now. I hope at&t never merges with anything Sprint. I adore at&t & at one time had 2 cellphones. One Sprint & one at&t, I canceled the almost free Sprint employee because I was afraid of having my confidential information given out to just about anyone that called. at&t rocks, they respect CPNI, they don't add unauthorized services. They the exact opposite of Sprint..I do miss the sweet customers
That's too bad. I used to pay my bill at a particular Sprint store and extended my account w/two new phones, specifically because of one of their extremely helpful sales associates. Every single month after adding the phones, my bill was 2 or 3 times higher than what it should have been, so each month this wonderful employee would adjust my bill. I also had a handwritten contract specifically stating that the fees on the additional lines would be waved. I still kept being charged for it.
Thanks for your concern MissMarie. I do miss the customers. I'm still looking for a job and miss the paycheck (and shopping!) But I don't miss working for a company like Sprint, they reward what I consider bad behavior. I received kudos constantly from the customers that just didn't matter enough to Sprint. I could have changed that outcome if I had just decided to care more about making more money for Sprint & less about really addressing customer concerns. Take care & Happy Holidays

The other reps were so unfriendly, except for the creepy mgr who would always hit on me, so I would ONLY work with the friendly rep. There were a lot of others who would only work w/her too as she was a favorite employee of most of the customers. Finally, one day she told me she was putting in her 2-wks, bec Sprint was forcing her to. I was angry bec then after I knew that dealing w/Sprint would be nothing but a headache! The service is awful too!
I used to work for Sprint. I took care of customers & lost my job because of it. Funny thing is, I was a Customer Care Associate, so I thought I was supposed to take care of customers. I've heard okay things about Verizon, I'm with AT&T & love them. I had cancelled my Sprint employee account long before being laid off. It was cheap but I was afraid because of their lax CPNI policies. Just a nightmare, leave as soon as you can.
I worked as Sprint customer care in teleperformance Philippines. Supervisor faisal paular and supervisor katrina guiang told me to hung up the call so they will not respond to sup call. While manager Anna Luciano and assistant manager Ciara Austria told me to increase my sales by doing fraudulent activities. Those were the days when I was sprint customer care specialist.

You should chat in for account information, it is so much faster and the people are always nice. They can't cancel accounts or help with tech issues, but it is great if you have billing issues.
Sprints customer service really sucked, However, The last year I have seen some very positive improvements. So they are getting better, I think they got the clue that there CS was really below standards.

Sprint puts its lowest paid reps (usually outsorced/contracted) as the 1st point of contact. These reps could care less about you or your call because they are usually making $10-12/hr
Anytime you pay your employees less than walmart you will have such an experience.

I am a customer rep for Sprint and I agree with you, that wait time is ridiculous. I am a customer when i clock out like everyone else and I would never wait that long. It doesn't matter what you called in about, I cannot even tell you how many times a day I correct other agents errors in billing and such because they didn't check themselves before getting the customer off the phone. I always read what I did to the account back to them and go over all features and charges for each line.
im just gonna try and help you out. i don't even work for AT&T. i actually work for verizon and i will tell you right now that its the same bullshit with any carrier. people don't realize that with most companies let you try the service out for a month so you can get a feel for it. those who remain with the company fell "stuck" for a couple years. and if the sales representative did not inform you of this than it is his fault. not an entire companies fault. im just being diplomatic.

And you're right, I don't know what goes on behind the scenes at Sprint, but no one person should have to wait that long.. LOL.. even the IRS only made me hold for 45 minutes. I personally went to the Sprint store for help with someone 800 miles away attacking my account and ordering phones and service. I may as well have went to Burger King for help. The staff were inept, lazy and no help whatsoever. I have been dealing with this problem for 4 weeks now online, on the phone and in person at the store. Trust me, Sprint is the worst phone company bar none. The store told me to call customer service, who in turn told me to go to the store. SPRINT SUCKS!!!!

hey i actually work indirectly for sprint... and we've received some feedback from a third party research company, indicating that sprint is the top in speed of answering care calls. 89% of calls received are answered in 30 seconds or less. you must have had bad luck. and waiting on hold does not indicate bad service. the reps are working their hardest to answer everybody elses calls as well. judge the service when you actually get talking to someone, not before.

Sprint is losing customers at a record rate, so they're "improving" customer service. I talked to them today, (December 13, 2008).
My verdict: THEY STILL SUCK. Saddest part is, in my area they have great coverage, really fast data, and a couple of decent choices for phones, but THEY STILL SUCK.
Most customers don't ask for much, they just don't want to get "Rat-Fucked" by their cell phone company, that's all.

They have to be the WORST cell phone provider I have ever seen and I have been to South America too so that has enough to say. The best customer service is T-Mobile they are number one. I have Sprint and love it. Fast internet, nice phones and im not paying an arm and a leg for Verizon and AT&T. Verizons marketing is bull....their network is not as strong as they want you to believe. Sprint is getting ready to release 4G wireless internet, 5 years ahead of the competiton. The tide is turning...remember...Sprint brought the first camera phone, color phone, $99 true unlimited plan and soon the first 4G network. The others just tag along.
sprint is rude because went i went there i wanted to pay a bill and the self paying bill thing was not working and they told me to go use the self yet it wasnt working. My dad used to have sprint and now he has verizon and when he was with sprint talk about DROPPED CALLS

Yeah.. The customer service was a nightmare before. But thats been fixed now. Now hold time are under 1 min on average. Ya gotta admit though, the internet is really, really fast and coverage is great in most areas.

Couldn't agree more, Sprint really do suck. my phone calls dropped all the time. and overcharged all the time. cant believe Ive been burning my money being with htem for ten fucking years... so I canceled it it two weeks ago paid my very last bill, fucking cant believe they billed me early termination fee. I aint gonna pay them, fuck up.. Im moving to VirginMobile now, phone calls never dropped, and my phone bills only $25 a month(unlike Sprint $67 for the $49 basic plan fucking ripoff).

ok... first of all being a csr for sprint and a sprint customer i can see how a long hold time would be frustrating, but keep in mind Sprint has almost 45million customers, and has over 250 call centers not including vended call centers, if you were on hold for over 2 hours, i can almost guarentee there was an outage that was either nation wide or close to nation wide, sprint over the years has been tracking call volume and can predict about how many reps they need on the phones at one time...

I agree, it not just the C.S. but also the overall company, I have had them all of 90 days and the could not port my CDMA number to a CDMA phone, now could they get my plan right. They have charged me $250. out of no where, and told me my claim would take 72 hours to be looked at and it would take even longer to get my money. I told them what they are doing is illegal and they said fax us bank account number to a random fax number and wait. Yea, Right!

They are going to go out of business. Their customers are cancelling left and right and they don't know how to invest their money. To top it off, their customer service reps are terrible and don't know how to treat their customers. That long wait time is an obvious sign of their future failure. They get more problematic calls than any other company. Even T-mobile doesn't consider sprint to be of any real competition

I was on Sprint about 5 years ago when I switched to Cingular which became AT&T. My service with Sprint was always horrible, and I don't know why anyone would gravitate toward that company, especially makers of new cell phones like the Palm Pre or HTC EVO. I just don't get it.

I actually changed my mind and decided to keep them but after 55 minutes of being bounced back and forth between departments and on hold then the non English speaking rep told me I had to pay 30$ activation fee even thou the contract says new customers don't pay activation fee . After 15 minutes she said she could waive the fee but then she didn't understand the ESN I was giving her then she gave me an out of state number and did it twice

I used to work for Sprint, just over 6 years. I have at&t cellular service, for about a decade now. I hope at&t never merges with anything Sprint. I adore at&t & at one time had 2 cellphones. One Sprint & one at&t, I canceled the almost free Sprint employee because I was afraid of having my confidential information given out to just about anyone that called. at&t rocks, they respect CPNI, they don't add unauthorized services. They the exact opposite of Sprint..I do miss the sweet customers

That's too bad. I used to pay my bill at a particular Sprint store and extended my account w/two new phones, specifically because of one of their extremely helpful sales associates. Every single month after adding the phones, my bill was 2 or 3 times higher than what it should have been, so each month this wonderful employee would adjust my bill. I also had a handwritten contract specifically stating that the fees on the additional lines would be waved. I still kept being charged for it.

Thanks for your concern MissMarie. I do miss the customers. I'm still looking for a job and miss the paycheck (and shopping!) But I don't miss working for a company like Sprint, they reward what I consider bad behavior. I received kudos constantly from the customers that just didn't matter enough to Sprint. The other reps were so unfriendly, except for the creepy mgr who would always hit on me, so I would ONLY work with the friendly rep. There were a lot of others who would only work w/her too as she was a favorite employee of most of the customers. Finally, one day she told me she was putting in her 2-wks, bec Sprint was forcing her to. I was angry bec then after I knew that dealing w/Sprint would be nothing but a headache! The service is awful too!

I used to work for Sprint. I took care of customers & lost my job because of it. Funny thing is, I was a Customer Care Associate, so I thought I was supposed to take care of customers. I've heard okay things about Verizon, I'm with AT&T & love them. I had cancelled my Sprint employee account long before being laid off. It was cheap but I was afraid because of their lax CPNI policies. Just a nightmare, leave as soon as you can.

I worked as Sprint customer care in teleperformance Philippines. Supervisor faisal paular and supervisor katrina guiang told me to hung up the call so they will not respond to sup call. While manager Anna Luciano and assistant manager Ciara Austria told me to increase my sales by doing fraudulent activities. Those were the days when I was sprint customer care specialist.

The people you speak to are either experinced reps or a brand new with no fomal trianing.But dont blame sprint for the phones quality its the OEM. Plus we are americans we want want want . I have had the "luxury" of working for both sprint AND verizon. The differences are UNCANNY!
Sprint puts its lowest paid reps (usually outsorced/contracted) as the 1st point of contact. These reps could care less about you or your call because they are usually making $10-12/hr
Anytime you pay your employees less than walmart you will have such an experience.
PS: i am assuming you needed tech support because you have a Palm.

I am a customer rep for Sprint and I agree with you, that wait time is ridiculous. I am a customer when i clock out like everyone else and I would never wait that long. It doesn't matter what you called in about, I cannot even tell you how many times a day I correct other agents errors in billing and such because they didn't check themselves before getting the customer off the phone. I always read what I did to the account back to them and go over all features and charges for each line.

well i work for sprint... and you really do not know what goes on the other side of your call. we have HUNDREDS of calls and on top of that, we are really short staffed. so you really need to be patient with that. and please do remember, there are some csr who are truly there to help =)

Thanks for your thoughts. But, 2 hours and 45 minutes? What the video does not tell you is that i actually waited 3 hours and 57 minutes total before and my call was dropped. And you're right, I don't know what goes on behind the scenes at Sprint, but no one person should have to wait that long.. LOL.. even the IRS only made me hold for 45 minutes. Short staff issues are not the customer's problem. A 4 hour hold time rediculas.

I personally went to the Sprint store for help with someone 800 miles away attacking my account and ordering phones and service. I may as well have went to Burger King for help. The staff were inept, lazy and no help whatsoever. I have been dealing with this problem for 4 weeks now online, on the phone and in person at the store. Trust me, Sprint is the worst phone company bar none. The store told me to call customer service, who in turn told me to go to the store. SPRINT SUCKS!!!!

the outsourcing is not the problem here. i know sprint has centers in the philipines and to be honest some months they do better in sales than we do (in canada). and i agree that you must have been transferred there or something because never in my time working for sprint has a customer had to wait more than 2 minutes to get a care rep. and in the time you wasted making the video you could have been to the store and back and had it resolved.

hey i actually work indirectly for sprint... and we've received some feedback from a third party research company, indicating that sprint is the top in speed of answering care calls. 89% of calls received are answered in 30 seconds or less. you must have had bad luck. and waiting on hold does not indicate bad service. the reps are working their hardest to answer everybody elses calls as well. judge the service when you actually get talking to someone, not before.

Sprint is losing customers at a record rate, so they're "improving" customer service. I talked to them today, (December 13, 2008).
My verdict: THEY STILL SUCK. Saddest part is, in my area they have great coverage, really fast data, and a couple of decent choices for phones, but THEY STILL SUCK.
Most customers don't ask for much, they just don't want to get "Rat-Fucked" by their cell phone company, that's all.
Seems reasonable to me.

Oh my God. I spoke with 29 people, two days and a total of 9 hours to inquire why I was charged for three phones when I only ordered one. Three months later, and it's still not resolved. The evil mutant employees at Sprint are miserable people to deal with. I was abused beyond belief by these idiots. I hope Sprint goes completely out of business. They suck!

Amen to this video, I had Sprint years ago and am glad to never look back. I use to own a NExtel until Sprint bought them out. They have to be the WORST cell phone provider I have ever seen and I have been to South America too so that has enough to say. The best customer service is T-Mobile they are number one. I switched to AT&T though becoz of the iphone but when my contract is up I am going back. AT&T is not bad but I miss T-Mobile they actually treat you like a real VIP customer

I have Sprint and love it. Fast internet, nice phones and im not paying an arm and a leg for Verizon and AT&T. Verizons marketing is bull....their network is not as strong as they want you to believe. Sprint is getting ready to release 4G wireless internet, 5 years ahead of the competiton. The tide is turning...remember...Sprint brought the first camera phone, color phone, $99 true unlimited plan and soon the first 4G network. The others just tag along.
