I've always owned and driven American made cars. (SUV's primarily)

However, my ex had this car, a 2006...and it is by far the best car I've ever driven/ridden in.

I handles like a dream, fun to drive, totally functionable, and has great crash test results. I'd seriously consider buying this as a 2nd vehicle.
