  • very interesting thanks

  • If invisibility would be introduced in a kind of an object such as clothing, then imagine what that would do to the population. All the thieves, all the psychos would just come out and can do anything undetected. The government might already have something like that, just not telling the public about it, and thats the best decision there is to it, because we cannot be trusted with invisibility or anything that would give us the upper hand against eachother, simply because we are human.

  • @250666bmf The government gives people guns. Just saying.

  • AND... the first use they find is warfare -.- amazing world we live in.

  • if you spell phonetic phonetically you spell it wrong

this is phonetics in the sense of photons or photographs

  • If we can navigate light around objects how come we can't make a light pump which harnesses light with 0.001% energy lost store it as electricity in carbon nanotubes super capacitors absorb water one molecule at a time from a Mars Rover then release the oxygen for the atmosphere and store the hydrogen in a nanotube cage for fuel storage for the larger humans?

  • Keep your children safe during the Halloween season by using the PREDATOR child sized suit. Your child's PREDATOR suit will make your kid invisible to inappropriate leering. Any similarity to persons both living or dead is purely coincidental. :M

  • Americans military use this technology .

  • @ghghghghghghggggghgh No they don't. This is still in experimental stages in the UK and the material itself is only 10 micrometres across. If tested by any military, it would be the British, as that's where - as I said before - the material is being developed.

  • The grid patterns look like swastikas

  • anyone else notice that when they switch to cloaking all it is a radio headunit?

  • It is far from perfected and would be heavily gaurded against "public" use.

Invisibility would create an insurmountable urge to be powerful, kill at will, theft etc.

It does point toward some truly fantastic possibilities.

I believe the light would have to be dealth with on a 3 dimensional level or create distortion for an object in motion. it would not be flexible.

  • Thanks for posting this!

  • now the only thing missing is solid snake

  • @GrandMasterBison

or.. Pedator ,or Yoshimitsu (TEKKEN 3),or Prophet ( Crysis )... :)

  • 4 layers may be all you need to attain complete invisibility, 3 wavelengths for the visible spectrum (red green blue) 1 for infrared (heat)

  • Magnetic fields! !!!!!!!! PEOPLE!!! your makeing things you dont need.

  • it will unavailable to public use.. but it will have a price tag of $8million

  • i know that it is possible to make everything wich was invisseble, vissible with technology like thermal temperature, nichtvision, micro scopes lenses etc,,,

i even know that it is possible to make things invissible for radars by absorbing licht, radiation, but to make something invissible in the front of our faces, sounds just too impossible.

  • Use it in the parliament so we can catch corrupted politicians

  • thay say the government is 25 years ahead of the publice. iwounder what thay have now?

  • @DANTHETUBEMAN Who's they? FUCK YOU.... bitch

  • Still won't hide heat signatures but what a bich it will be if they give this to cops :-((

  • @purpleblake Not entirely correct, you just need to layer a properly configured meta material to hide heat, which is just another wavelength of light. all you do is choose the wavelengths to make the metamaterial bend.and design it with that in mind

  • What are the countermeasures?

  • Next currency is gonna be the data....

  • i think we should use it for military

  • As long as its not use for big corp or government then I'm all in.

  • Let not steal the technology from the ETs , hah !

  • ANYTHING WE KNOW ABOUT, THE GOVERNMENT HAD 40 YEARS AGO!!!

The SR-71 Blackbird was flying in the 50's!!!

  • @WizzleThump yes u are right ...everything and al the technology we know right now is maybe new to the people but the government had it long long time ago ....

  • I can't believe people are so excited about advancements in material and light technology. What about advancements in human technology? How about creating and extending human capabilities such as flying, teleporting, and mental telepathy?. How about streamlining the brain capacity and capability for learning, storing, and retrieving information. We should be living like the Jetsons but better by now.

  • @heromiles uh, open your brain, advancements in a certain fields can or will lead to advancements in others

  • @Speaks2Much You don't appreciate anything do you? Or maybe you're still stuck back in the stone ages? You would rather settle for meaningless advancements in material technology rather than help me promote shifting the focus from material technology to human advancement technology. You tell me who the closed-minded person is. All this time, the focus has been on material technology and you expect me to believe that will change without some kind of appropriate "awareness"?

  • fuck the cloaking, ive been waiting for 15 years for a real hoverboard - get it sorted southampton uni

  • wow what a waste of money thermal imagine sales are gonna go up i better invest !

  • Neat stuff.

  • Invisible Siege Tank rush: WHERE IS YOUR GOD NOW?!?

  • @happyking9 bring an obeserver. :)

  • but wouldn't you still be able to locate the tank using infrared?

  • @yeirrorist Maybe, but like visible light is just a small fraction of the total electromagnetic spectrum, infrared is also just a part of the spectrum and may then also be able to be cloaked! :D

  • We will never have this in a monetary system for our use.....

  • Can't wait for this technology to hit the Consumer Market!!

  • Damn that is heavy future technology becoming!

  • Of course the only example is the use in war -.-

  • i'd like to see sum1 hack into a computer system using that photon shit. how you gonna hack into a photon of light?

  • if youre waiting for a tank to disappear you can save yourself 7 mins

  • It would have been cool at 6:27 if the Maxwell equation came up, like the T-shirt.

  • The future's gonna kick ass

  • yeah it will, but I fear its also gonna kick our asses

  • @christhemountain this! its kinda scary really lol

  • @christhemountain

That's when we put a MAKE MAGAZINE orbiting private satellite which we can use as our own photon gun, to either beam energy to our own homes privately, or to blow away the nearest Space Invader. Any similarities to video game characters copyrights or uncopyrighted is purely coincidental. :M

  • @CrimnsonZ dude the future is now
