Hey dude, been watching your tuts on basic design rendering with markers and stuff, and got to say really well done they are very simple and easy to follow. The thing which still bugs me however is knowing where to put reflections, for instance on the window of the second car in this vid the front window had a vertical highlight line, how did you know to do that is it a perception borne of experience and based on situation? It would be great if you could make a video on that

@Driftload Hey thanks for the comment. Have you seen my newest set of vids? I address a lot of the reflection issues but yeah, a lot of it just comes from copying what you see in real life. Try just copying magazine ads of cars to get sense for it. or just try shading it from the bottom up, black to grey. you'll get it

@autotooonz Great question- I have a video called "How to film yourself drawing"- Take a look at that and it will show you how to do it. It's mostly in the setup but then you have to flip the image in your video editor. You'll see when you watch it, good luck

@chandu1995 Hi yes- I've been meaning to make a video about materials. You should watch my color rendering video because that's where the good stuff is. Everything here is just Bic pen, pencil or black marker. for color there's a lot more that goes into it. Vellum paper, Prismacolor markers, chalk, gouache, webril pads, etc... Hope to make a vid soon- you have some art up ?

@nutzw1 hey- i really need to do a video about it- I'm really behind! I have a few special things i use. Prismacolor markers and nuspastel color sticks. Gouache (white paint) and colored pencils. Also try vellum paper (not in my videos but really cool medium). it's a little expensive but looks awesome!

@7AAA7 Thanks a lot- Well these sketches are really quick and sloppy- just a couple minutes each. Full color rendering like in my 2nd color video- that can be as much as 3 - 4 hours.
