Don- amazing! The coolest aspect has to be how you segue from crossed to uncrossed playing, in addition to going from plucking to tapping. Can't wait for another solo or duo album!
Which custom options are available for the NS/Stick? Is it possible to have only the upper octave of the bass strings (ie., above the 12th fret) FRETLESS & with white marks in the place of the frets? (IMHO, blank would look a little bit odd)
My left side brain hurts just from watching the right hand action. I had a fretless tapper and knows how insane it is to play in tune. He taps ON the frets place in the one region, and the same time, same hand, hand BEFORE the frets in the other. And the other hand is doing stuff too at the same time too.
But i hear Chapman put some of those multi tasking chips in his brain, thats why...
when i first read ur comment i was like "um, yea, thats wut they're there for, have u been under a non-musical rock for the past 300 years?" but then i realized that u were talking about using the frets to hit the right spots on the frettless side...
They should add the Steinberger piezo pickups! That will add the possibility for a full acoustic sound.

Don's great. No BS, great playing, I love how he describes his playing and instruments. No pompous musician attitude. Just down to earth, good guy.
