Make sure and watch the M42 lens mount video... I have been getting the best results from the M42 lenses because there is no optical element in the adapter.
It does not matter as much on the APC sized sensors but on the fll frame (a850 and a900) the image edges spoften and there is a slight degrading of the image due to that optical element in the adapter..
