As mentioned elsewhere input from external devices is very loud. Set the volume to an extremely low value such as 2-4 on a scale of 100. Different programs may or may not let you change the volume of your capture card, so Windows Sound Control Panel must be used.
when i hook my easycap up to my computer, when i click devices, my USB 2.0 or SYNTEK doesnt show up but it sometimes does(rarely) Can somebody help me? Vista 32 Bit
First update Vista. Back up your files, install SP1 & 2 if you haven't, then put in all the updates. Next find and install the latest drivers for the easycap. Afterwards insert the easycap and -wait- for it to be picked up (that little beep boop). If nothing after 60 seconds try it in a different USB port.
For some reason i can't capture certain parts of my desktop, and it seems like croping doesn't help either. For example I can't see most of right and bottom part of desktop which i happen to need to record working in SAI -___- . I also tried setting custom format. Heeelp!!? T_T ~
It might be set to screen capture and the recursive mirror imaging crashes your computer. Or your computer doesn't have enough CPU, Memory, or Video Memory to handle it. In any case try setting your screen resolution to the lowest possible setting so you have more computational power to tinker around with.
ya i had the same problem vdub is the only program that captures my dazzle without a lag but there is no audio and under audio tab my device doesn't show up. On the vdub site it said you had to make sure line in was selected on volume settings but it says line in isn't plugged in.i have all my composite cables plugged in so i dunno why it wont show up
Goto the Device menu and make sure that the Dazzle is selected. Next goto Video, Video Source, and make sure that something is selected. Then play around with Preview and Preview Acceleration under the Video menu.
Under Audio you have to have enable audio capture. Also under Audio you have to select the device. You should have already None, Stereo Mix, plus your capture device. Try those out like my Billy Hatcher Sound test

If not you will need to purchase a stereo converter from pins to the 3.5mm jack. But I highly doubt that since several people have had success with Dazzle.

itztomaiboi 9 months ago
@itztomaiboi
While in capture mode (File -> Capture Mode) select Video -> Video Source. There you can have your choice of what your capture card can provide.

@TiroDvD Yes, I know I did all of that however it comes up with a fuzzy black screen?

Whenever I open VirtualDub and go to capture avi, it stops responding, do you have any idea why this would happen?

Works good, but there's one problem. When i import my videos to movie maker, They get speeded up for some reason. Is there a way to fix that?
Somcothehedgehog01 2 years ago
