In some places society decides something is too important to be left to the profit motive, like healthcare in Canada or Europe. In the US we've decided that air traffic control is too important to leave to the lowest bidder so we have a socialized system for that and it seems to work. If you think this is a real problem, go find any evidence in NH of dead voters actually having cast ballots in person. There have been studies done of the NH voter rolls and it hasn't happened. Only 4 problems with possible illegal votes took place in NH 2004.

Requiring IDs has been deemed discriminatory against people who may not want or be able to get a legal state-issued ID. And so, anyone with access to a phone book can do this.

In some places society decides something is too important to be left to the profit motive, like healthcare in Canada or Europe. If you think this is a real problem, go find any evidence in NH of dead voters actually having cast ballots in person. There have been studies done of the NH voter rolls and it hasn't happened. Only 4 problems with possible illegal votes took place in NH 2004.
