The students who organized this and who stuck around even when threatened with expulsion were saying "NO BUSINESS AS USUAL" they were taking time and energy to draw attention to the atrocities being commited in our name and I have total and utter respect for them.

I am a student of morton and was there when this happened. How does this promote peace? I believe most the students just got involved to cause excitement. Everybody got involved because everybody was involved and it seemed like a good time to act like animals. That's what i concluded and it never seemed to be organized because some students were protesting about next years uniforms and others war, while others were protesting about the cafeteria food!

Actually I don't go to Morton West. I go to Oak Park River Forest. I made an 80 min documentary film on the antiwar movement last summer and decided to make a short about the sit in, which occurred right after I finished my documentary film.

i went to west and i participated in a walk out in february of 1993 i was to suppose to get a 10 day suspension i never got suspended nothing happened there was a meeting in morton east with parents and school officials the suspensions were thrown out .
