@DuneTV1 Good point. But you also have to take in mind this is a 3/4 ton diesel with a stock suspension set up. As apposed to the raptors fox shocks, and it made for the dunes just because of the suspension set up. I'm in no means knocking the raptor because they're bad ass trucks but this trucks stock and heavier so give him a little credit.

Why would anyone think a completely stock truck could pull off this jump? It's not lifted for clearance and as such the front bumper is much too low, the tires are for pavement and I highly doubt the shocks are modified. Just stupid. That SVT Raptor owner had the right idea with his truck-- if you are going to take it for some dune jumps then you would be smart to do some modifications to your vehicle.

Everything seems to be ok, but the real test that we don't hear about is that Silver Lake is kind of away from everything, stuff kind of shakes out as far as damage when they get on the highway to go home, then they really find out. An example would be the Blue Raptor who did just as impressive jump as the Silverado, but later that week, there went the trans. lol It's in our gallery at the site, Memorial Weekend.

Before I put a solid axle on my 4runner I was driving through what I though was a shallow stream in winter but it dropped off like 2 feet right before the edge of the ice on the other side. I hit the ice on going fairly fast and hit very hard. About a week latter my CV axle randomly snapped and took out the IFS.
