  • cool video, although sometimes I have trouble judging the sound of a weapon from a video. how woud you say a supersonic .308 suppressed compares to, for instance, an un-suppressed standard load 7.62x39?

  • That sounds like a pellet gun

  • is that an accuracy international stock with a remington 700 aac sd set inside it?

  • do i here backyard hunting =D????

  • I'm In love with that rifle.Where are you living ?

  • that was just the smoke coming out of the barrel not a deer

  • Does anyone know what brand of stock he's got on this thing?

I need one just like it.

  • @SeedyNotions looks like the AICS

  • subsonic amo can still kill someone right? im only 14 dont bitch at me

  • @CoD0general Yes, still very lethal.

  • The subsonic sounds amazing!

  • Acis 1.5?

  • this is cool and all, but for a more practical combat sense of things you should fire and maneuver.

  • bad ass rifle!!!

  • I use the EBR .223 sub-sonic with my suppressed AR-15. Sweet ammo. Your .308 and my AR sound exactly the same with the supressed loads. Have fun....

    Shadow

  • speed of sound is equal to 1140 fps

  • has any one else noticed that there was a deer between :10 and :14. look near his bipod and above the boxes in the opening

  • @1990suzuki That was a puff of smoke.

  • @1990suzuki No, IT WAS BIGFOOT!!

  • @1990suzuki well spotted!

  • @1990suzuki the deers fine..... for now >:D

  • @1990suzuki good eye

  • @1990suzuki That's a smoke ring.

  • @1990suzuki If you're seeing what I see, it's not a deer. It's a smoke ring coming from the barrel. No idea why that happens but it only happens after he cocks the gun, it starts from the end of the barrel and goes to the left. It's in front of the trees so doesn't look like a deer too much

  • @1990suzuki it is smoke from first shot .not a DEER ?

  • @1990suzuki it is car driving in not a deer.

  • is that sound moderator blowing gases back into your face?!

  • What is your elevation change between the two rounds?

  • what system did you go with for your removable magazine? i like it, but i cant find any that dont cost 500 bucks

  • that's funny how quit it is with the subsonic rounds, by the way, how fast are they going?

  • @mainetrapper Below speed of Sound<.<

So probably somewhere in the region of 300m/s...

  • wasnt trying to sound like a pecker, just saying.

i figured if you were a distance shooter youd be handloading

  • can you tell me were you got your suppresser.any hep will be great ,,

  • god damn beautiful weapon

  • @afrofin1 Word. :D

  • assassin gun!!

  • Nice rifle! The 700 is one of the first on my list once my license gets renewed. Just debating on .308 or 30-06. What kind of stock is that?

  • @bellofello1 if i were you id go with the .308 packs plenty enough punch for a deer, in my experience far more accurate, and cheaper to boot. if ya would like some more info you can message me.

  • @Trueslax003 Well I'm not only hunting deer. It'll be used for deer, moose, caribou, bear, elk. Lots of things. I know the .308 packs a decent punch and is more accurate than the .30-06, but the -06 has a fair bit more stopping power for the larger game I hunt.

  • @bellofello1 well if you want a round that can be used on different levels id go with a .300 win mag, remington has designed 3 different types of the same .300 win mag rounds one for smaller game less recoil and doesnt shred meat, used for deer, then there is level 2 moose elk etc. more kick bigger punch. then level 3 in case you ever wanna tackle a bear or anything even more kick and knock down. just another suggestion in case you didnt know about the power level amunition, Merry christmas

  • @Trueslax003

My .308 handloads with a 220 grain grand slam will put down bear/elk just as good as a 300 mag.

  • @bjizzle123 oh ok, didn't know you got into hand loading, i use 168gr. .308 hand loads for competition shooting, and i have a 7mm magnum for bigger game when i hunt. then i believe you dont need any info lol good shootin to you

  • @bellofello1 .308 ;)

  • Accuracy International Stock?

  • @lolimnoteighteen Hey, your not in college either and what do you have against 12 year olds?

  • sniper rifle are the loudest rifle in the world,i dont get the idea how a pair of men sneak up behind enemy line with this thing.

  • @TheSFix1991 Because once you're laying on the ground with your lungs hanging out of your shirt... The noise level doesn't quite matter.

  • man, can believe how smooth the bolt cycle is on that thing. Looks effortless. Dont expect that out of a mosin nagant, lol. Hope to see my mauser cycle that easily once i get a turned down bolt. Straight bolts are the most retarded thing i think anyone ever came up with in the history of bolt action rifles.

  • you dont use a 308 on a rabbit.. waste of bullets

  • What stock is used on your rem 700? Doesn't look like the original.

  • @theJwind Thats an AICS

  • The suppression is not suffice...

  • @undergraduateG usually when objects break the sound barier (supersonic rounds do that) there is a bit of noise.

  • Subsonic is rubbish for hunting i used to use em on rabbits but it wounded too many so went bak to normal ones

  • @mjw789234 what caliber you using? and what range? and where these rabbit wearing vests??

  • @Epiphany204 i use a 22. at short to medium range, i got 68 rabbits yesterday and i used segmented subsonics and they drop em pretty well but are more expensive

  • i luv ur bolt

  • only bad thing is the enemy going to be able to hear the gun fire before having the bullet pass through his skull

  • @djc2232 You can shoot at deer......

  • Do you lose much energy accuracy and distance with a .308 subsonic

  • @bond1284 lots

  • Thanks a lot, do you have any experience with TTIArmory subsonic.html ammo?? I understand from a few reviews, it's better than EBR.

  • Thanks a lot, do you have any experience with TTIArmory subsonic.html ammo?? I understand from a few reviews, it's better than EBR.

  • The bolt has had some work over a standard cheapo 700. Mine's not that nice.

  • Where did you get the stock? I have the same rifle but exactly how it came from the factory.

  • @paulith101

the police version of the rem 700 comes with this stock.... also comes with a Price of $2000.....

  • @cpynch the 700P is around $900

    Not $2000

The package deal with the included scope and case is $2,700

  • @fusionstar916

That looks like the 700 with the accuracy international stock.... much more expensive...

  • Boomerang is one shooter locating piece of kit that uses seven mics on a mast connected to a computer and calculates azimuth, range and elevation of the shooter. Displays that information on a screen or what looks like a big wrist watch in the man carry version.

  • god its so quiet!

  • Thats impressive. Sub sounds like a paintball gun

  • Bullet weight of subsonic rounds?

  • You have nothing on a sub-sonic round.........don't even try ninja!!!!!

  • looks like an L96

  • @cerealrolled I think it's the M700 AICS (Accuracy International Chassis System). They get the bolt, barrel and working parts of a Remmington M700 and drop them into a chassis made by Accuracy International, who makes the L96 :)

  • @gman318 I was wondering why the stock looked so much like the L96 series.

  • Great video.

  • how much are those sub sonic rounds? and whats the difference in FPS with the two different rounds?

  • I would love to know what stock you have on your rifle...from this point of view it almost makes it look like an M14...Can you tell me where you got it and possibly a model number for the stock if you happen to know or remember??

  • I love the SNICK as it hits your target. Great video

  • The subsonic ammo sounds like opening a can of soda!

  • Subsonic FTW, 5*

  • Supersonic bullets make more noise, Duh.

  • If you did this video in reverse, you would witness the cold bore suppression of this round versus the heated up suppressor from the supersonic rounds fired. As the suppressor heats up it loses a portion of its ability to cool gas from the explosion thus losing some sound suppression. Good video though.

  • A suppressor wont make a difference for supersonic ammunition because it is traveling faster than the speed of sound. But you can obviously hear the difference with the subsonic ammunition.

  • Actually the suppressor does make quite a substantial difference with supersonic ammunition. It is still suppressing the muzzle blast, just not the supersonic "boom". I can easily fire my suppressed 308 with supersonic ammo without ear protection and it is not very loud at all, you could compare it to about what a .22 sounds like.

  • @sgunn911

But, the supersonic bullets still general a small sonic boom. A suppressor can do nothing about the noise of a supersonic projectile. The nuzzle blast is not the only concern. Subsonic with suppressor, they never hear it coming.

  • @Nicodemus98

    That's Muzzle Blast.

  • @Nicodemus98

That's exactly what I said, isn't it? When I stated that "It is still suppressing the muzzle blast, just not the supersonic "boom"", I thought I was covering the fact that a suppressor will suppress the muzzle blast but not the supersonic boom....Am I missing something here?

  • @tequese it makes a difference trust me. it reduces muzzle flash and makes it alot harder to track where the shot was fired because your not hearing the gases escape the rifle your hearing the bullet go supersonic.

  • @guhudaa And like I said you cant suppress something traveling faster than the speed of sound. That being the sonic boom. So we said similar things just in different ways.

  • @tequese But the sonic boom isn't just a loud noise. You can't use it pinpoint the shooter or even (in most cases) his general direction. If you're being shot at, you will hear the boom once the round has passed, and you will no that you are in danger, but nothing else. If you are any significant distance beside or behind the shooter, you will hear very little or nothing at all.

  • @ppitm I cant talk for you but if I ever used a suppressor I would be using it to protect my hearing not to conceal my location..... But just on that topic the US military has a device to locate a Sonic Boom and identify the caliber to 10 square meters. This us used to locate and remove enemy snipers. But yes behind the shooter suppressed or bare firearm you wont hear the full blast, thats because it is directional.

  • Nice comparison. Can you give me any info on that Thumper load?

  • Nice rifle!

  • Triplewhiper is a faggit dueschbag

  • idk too much about supersonic vs subsonic but i do know that when the gun kicks less you get more accuracy and that seems to be the case with the subsonic rounds. that and they arae much quieter. kinda like when i shoot subsonic in my .22

  • Doesn't actually make a difference, its more shooter perception. If you have better accuracy with less recoil, you should be working more on your flinch.

The bullet is long gone before even 95% of the recoil affects the barrel angle.

  • Why do they make bull barrels then? I thought it helped with barrel flex, but from what you are saying recoil doesnt really affect barrel angle? Im not saying your wrong. I have been shooting all my life but just recently got into reloads and other more technical aspects of shooting.

  • I should say more bore angle. Because recoil will cause the bore to angle more upward or downward depending on how you're shooting and at what angle.

Because the metallurgy of a barrel is nearly impossible to get perfectly concentric, as the barrel heats up, some parts will heat up faster than others, and cool at the same rate. This results in a less than perfectly concentric bore. A bull barrel is designed to resist the detrimental effects of heat over multiple shots.
