Hey, I got this doubt: somebody said me that Liv´s voice has specific characteristics which make it a soprano even though she goes high to A5 and not till D6 (at least). How true is that??
@nazgulol but, the one who told me this stuff, said that even though she doesn´t reach a D6, she´s considered as soprano ´cause of some characteristics her voice has, that´s y doubt
thanks for this, nazgulol! i remember me mentioning you doing a video about liv many months ago, thanks a lot! it's really interesting, although i don't understand anything about notes or whatsoever! anyway, i think that for the sake of everyone you should post the songs you used, ToT's tracks are pretty hard to get for those not into doom metal or those not used to their old works ;)
@glendalikesapples at 7:35 it's "Hollow-heartéd, Heart Departéd" from Theatre of Tragedy's first album. At 8:10 it's "Secret" from Leaves' Eyes first album "Lovelorn".

I´ve forgotten that Helen Iren also sings in project called Angel and Anneke has a lot of collaborations ( Devin Towsend, Ayreon, Moonspell + did a lot of covers,too....). I'm almost sure that Helena's highest note is E6 (The Lotus Eaters) or F6 (The day we drowned). I can't tell if she still can hit it, because she seems to not care about her voice to much. Lowest...it's hard to tell, but i think she is capable to reach at least E3.

All voices can be improved... So far Liv sings as a Lyric Mezzosoprano, it does not mean that she can't sing as soprano...

Liv's range includes C6. Check "Huldra" from her first solo album and Atrocity's cover of "Send me an Angel (it's better live)"
