the burj dubai is very high, but not very tiny at the same time, i wonder if there is extremes winds or something, i mean, where i come from, skyscrapers are not tall(less then 200 meters) but larges. i wonder if the tower will fall if there is a storm with like 300km winds)
The building is so amazing that its layout is designed to confuse wind. When wind blows past something it creates a vortex, the burj dubai has different levels which doesnt let the vortex form, therefor making the wind forces less efficient.
The only thing americans think about these days is Iraq and war...MCCAIN,BUSH...too much american money is being spend on pointless wars and running to waste..not much city planning development is going on in the US these days ....
Yea China dubai russia and lots more get more and more skyscrapers and skylines and usa still got their boring grey skyscraper from the 1920-40s but thanks to america for started this skyscraper market =p
can you imagine if something went wrong? lol

Another sign that America is losing it's place as a world leader. Sorry the 1st comment is negative, but that's how I feel.

They still are the world leader in produced weapons and money spent on the army, and that is the only thing that really counts for the americans.

Sad, but true. Hopefully things will be different after the elections.
