And this caused a riot when the stewards said that Hunt would not be able to take the restart. I can still remember the crowd chanting "We want Hunt" until he was allowed to restart the race which he then won. The history book may say Lauda won it but I saw him finish second to Hunt on the day, whatever the CSI said subsequently....
