  • inspiring and great job documenting

  • @dirtrider5001 Thanks very much!

  • On second review, what this bloke accomplished is quite amazing. At this point of his voyage I'm sure it was a mental endurance game. And with that said, he seemed to be doing quite well. Tallyho-

  • @MichaelEClay Appreciate you coming back and taking a closer look. Fair winds

  • Might I ask why you don't constantly have trolling lines behind your boat? You discussed the possibility of running out of food. I would imagine that would keep a steady supply of fish coming in.

  • @yeahyeah1821 If running out of food had have become a real possibility I would have fished more, but, I think that particular scene was my having a really bad day more than anything - I had enough food if rationed to probably last another month if absolutely required. I did fish sometimes though, but preferred not to.

  • I don't understand! This is many people's dream to sail cross ocean, yet you made it sound so sad, so depressing!! Not once you've mentioned the awe inspiring journey and the beautiful nature ...

  • @666audire Perhaps go read my blog if you want to hear more details. A journey of this undertaking goes beyond simple observations about nature and inspiration. That's why there are more dreamers than doers.

  • Handsome!! I wonder how this isolation affects you and if that's the reson for looking so serious basicly all the time. Maybe you're just not smiling much, i bet yu have a nice smile though. Thanks for the videos, very inspirating :)

  • @Jasminewynja It is a very serious undertaking, I guess that's why I look serious all the time. But I am also a very serious person by nature, so I guess it's just me. Keep in mind the videos are of me shooting myself, and most of the time I used the camera as a sounding board to bemoan difficulties etc. I was not like that all the time.

  • Why do you say we since you are alone?

  • Damn i miss my Compass 28!! Great to see a young Aussie bloke grabbing life by the balls....Cheers for the upload and fair winds to you and Harmony..

  • I would like to know the name of the song that starts at 4:24. By the way... awesome trip

  • @averagegab That's 'The Lengths' by The Black Keys - Enjoy.

  • So, how does one finance such an expedition?

  • One exchanges labour for currency.

  • Fair enough, jack.

  • @bigoceansvoyage

    so simple : )

  • @bigoceansvoyage so simple!

  • @bigoceansvoyage so simple!

  • Thanks, I'm glad you've enjoyed the music. Yes, I do enjoy sailing, I just don't embellish it. It is how it is... I try to be honest. Being along for weeks at a time in a small boat is difficult. No, I did not feel obliged.

  • awesome trip!

  • bro what do you do for a liiving that allows you to travel like that your are a very luccky man

  • @WARRAMOS7 Work, save, scrounge! I'm not rich. No wealthy parents. No inheritance.

  • @bigoceansvoyage

That is the way to go. Been inspired among others by your travels. A coursemate and I are building a small ocean-going sailboat, very tight budget, but fun. First longer trip perhaps Estonia-Iceland.

  • It might be an idea to find yourself a crew mate, you look bored to death. Cudos though, it's not something I'd put myself up for ;-)

  • ...great videos mate. Youve accomplished something I can only dream about for now. What make of boat did you sail and how did you go about educating yourself on the planning and navigation for a solo crossing??

  • ..."love you more than anyone" starts at 1:43. anyone know the title of the song and who sings it...tries Tunatic and Shazam w no luck

  • Love you any more than anyone is by Alexi Murdoch

  • What are the chances of being capsizing in the ocean?

  • What, as some kind of statistic? I have no idea. What ocean? What kind of boat? ...

  • i just started sailing on 14 foot boat. On windy days it is very easy to be capsize. My question is, is it easy to be capsize in a boat like yours on a bad weather day?

  • Did you try to catch that Dorado? That fish would be a east catch.

  • No, it followed me the entire day, and was too big for one person to eat... I caught other fish though

  • @bigoceansvoyage What kind of vane were you using for auto. Great job by the way.

  • @BusterBroun Thanks! I was using a Windpilot Pacific Light
